We found the service and installation of the solar panels to be very good, we had a few hiccups due to our house being so old, solutions were found and `we are very happy with the work undertaken. Two options were used on a flat roof and the inline system. All the workmen who were involved in the job were very friendly, helpful and professional.

Emailed and got an immediate response, Ben came out within a couple of days and said he would quote by the end of the day, 2 weeks later and two emails to chase for the quote, 1 reply to say they would pass the message on and still waiting, for my experience I wouldn’t recommend SGS.. ☹️

We recently had SGS Heating and Electrical install a heat pump at our home, and the whole experience has been an absolute joy from start to finish. Having had building work done in previous homes, I know how draining it can be having people in and out of your house — it's often one of the worst parts of any renovation. This was the complete opposite. SGS managed everything, including groundworks and all the planning permission requirements, with real thoroughness. Nothing was left to chance. Every single person who came through our door, electrician, plumbers, all of them - was brilliant. Friendly, tidy, and polite without exception. The result speaks for itself too: our house has never been warmer. The after-sales support has been just as impressive. Reception have always been helpful whenever I've called, and when I made an error and forgot to turn something on, they had someone back out to sort it almost the next day. I can't recommend SGS highly enough, and I'm already looking forward to having them install our solar panels next.

From making an appointment until completion of the task, it was very smooth. The plumber was polite and knows what he was doing. I am happy. Only downside was he fixed one leak then my wife had to show him about other leak too. But he fixed both. No complaint.

Superb service from SGS to replace a large hot water cylinder with some complex pipework in a confined space. Well organised, thorough, tidy and careful with neat pipework and good decision making. In repairing my faulty Worcester boiler under its annual maintenance contract, the service was quick & efficient, and completed in under a week including calling the local Worcester boiler engineer.

Asked for a quote, someone came around 2 days later. Perfectly polite to me at the time but was very open about how little he thought of customers. Then told quote would be with me tomorrow. Then I called and it was due the next day. Then I called and was told next week. No quote ever turned up. I’m leaving it now. Too many red flags for me even if they ever did send the quote over

Our first time using SGS in Salisbury. We needed both gas and electrical work undertaken. Surveyor visit, prompt quote, and work undertaken on site within a good timescale. Costings were fair and reasonable. Work undertaken was completed to a high standard. We will be using SGS for any future work. Can highly recommend them.

Everyone was really helpful throughout the solar installation project. The engineers completing the work were competent and got on with the job. If they came across a problem they solved it.

Not at all impressed. After initial contact my appointment was arranged for a few weeks later. The chap that turned up barely said hello. I walked him around the house showing him each of the issues we needed help with. He gave me no confidence in his knowledge whatsoever. Did not know how to turn the boiler on and had to ring the office to speak to a colleague. I knew more than him. He said he would send a quote for the works to be carried out. No quote received. But of course an invoice was sent for the visit. He also took a personal social call for 5 minutes whilst at our property. I would avoid,

Great service for both our gas boiler and our plumbing.

Really strange experience with this company - my partner contacted them about replacing our shower. They came out had a look and said the replacement shower we had brought wouldn't be able to be fitted because it wasn't the correct power rating and also needed additional pipe work so couldn't be done. They charged the call-out fee and that was it. No options no solutions. It was a 8.5kw replacing a 10.5k so would have been absolutely (and is working) fine. The additional pipework consisted of one tile being cut and a couple of small additions to adjust the angle. Took another firm less than 2 hours.

I found SGS when faced with a gas emergency for our pub. I have since been using their services. They are friendly, very helpful and reasonably priced.

Great service from my initial conversation with the team about my electrical problem, to booking the call out and having the team member coming to take a look. Mark was very thorough checking all possible causes for about 45mins of an electrical shock from our power shower. He also spotted a small leak from our bath waste pipe, which we now have a plumber coming out to replace this week from SGS. Thank you again.

Bathroom remodel and electric heaters installed. SGS thank you for an excellent job, Colin did the initial visit and helped to go over the plan and answer all my questions prior to sending me the quote which I thought was very reasonable for the work involved, once I accepted the quote I then had a visit from Brett who was my bathroom fitter to again go over the plan and to check I was happy with the planned works. Brett was excellent, he has done an amazing job with the bathroom, very professional. Mark the plumber was working with Brett for the first few days getting all the pipe work in the correct positions along with Mark the electrician getting all electric to where it needed to be installed safely for both the bathroom and the heaters. Jamie the plasterer did such a great job the plaster felt silky smooth once dry, feels a shame to cover such an excellent finish! I really can’t thank SGS enough for providing such professional staff to carry out the remodel, not forgetting Max the plumber and Lee the electrician who were both on site for final fix. I recently had a PIV system installed by SGS and I’m really pleased with both the product and the service. The team were punctual, tidy and explained everything clearly. I arranged a platinum service plan on an existing oil boiler only 5 years old when they started. SGS serviced it for 2 years at considerable monthly cost. When it broke down they attended promptly for free but they were unable to correctly diagnose the fault for over 2 weeks leaving the home without heating or hot water. I obtained alternative diagnosis which immediately identified a terminal set of defects. The replacement sgs suggested was more expensive than others despite platinum service plan discount and not suitable for the installation location or conditions. After a new boiler was installed by others, examination of old boiler showed it had not been serviced properly. Appealed to their management for some compensation and was given a standard list of excuses. Sad to see a business I have recommended for many years lose it's way like this. They have got too big and all the technicians seem to be under paid and under pressure to complete things quickly. Their technicians and management did not demonstrate the same experience and knowledge I am able to find elsewhere and they lacked the time or care to look into challenging issues. Sadly not a business I can recommend any more.

Second time using SGS for my electrical needs. Got them to come and sort some plug sockets out in my kitchen and I am never disappointed in my choice. Very professional and polite,vtook one looks and not just replace the switch set but sorted out a wiring fault that the house builders had caused. SGS is highly recommended. They have installed an additional plug to the kitchen and on the kitchen island, add additonal kitchen downlights and install 2 external up/down lights. They also replaced our electric hob with a gas hob and also did a replacement for our kitchen tap. All professionally done.

Particularly James, Dan who worked hard for the 2 days fitting my boiler and associated fittings Lee the electrician ensured I was happy with operating the system and quickly followed up a small query.

Brilliant service from start to finish.

SGS workmanship is generally very good. The time taken to arrange a quotation and subsequent follow up clarifications was slow and put us behind on work dependent upon it being complete, so much so that we had to delay other contractors. Responsiveness could be better. An issue arising as a result of the works also took a bit too long to resolve; we were put onto a ‘backlog’ list initially, on the advice it would be easy to dovetail into other works in or around the region. This was starting to look like another delay after a couple of weeks, so we decided to arrange formal appointment again rather than be at the behest of when things may or may not be convenient.

Unreliable, and you cannot rely on the quality of their work. For 2-3 years we paid a monthly fee covering the annual service for our boiler and offered a discount for other work. In that time we asked SGS to quote for other work including fitting a new bathroom. They never followed up with a quote once they visited. Having ended our contract with SGS we’ve had Stonehenge in to check our boiler pre-rental and paid out to fix a part allowing a Carbon Monoxide leak that ‘should have been picked up in our last service’.

I'm very pleased with the service I’ve received from SGS Heating and Electrical Ltd so far. From my initial enquiry through to the home visit and quotation, everything was straightforward and professional. Colin Tyrrell, the design consultant, was informative, friendly, and helpful, and he provided the quote within the timeframe promised. The installation date was agreed for two 2.5kW internal Daikin Perfera units, and the office team communicated well throughout — even sending a reminder the day before installation. The electrician (whose name I’ve unfortunately forgotten) did a great job connecting everything to the consumer unit and left the area clean and tidy for the engineer to complete the setup. Ryan Austin, the engineer, worked quickly, efficiently, and with great care — even managing the difficult task of drilling through very tough walls with ease. I haven’t had a chance to inspect the loft pipework yet, but the system is working well and produces a crisp, cool environment. In hindsight, I wish I’d had this done sooner — recent heatwaves made the delay all the more noticeable, but the wait was understandable due to high demand. Externally, the installation looks neat and professional, with pipework and electrics fitted in a tidy, unobtrusive manner. I paid the balance today and, impressed with the installation, have asked SGS to return and quote on a third unit. I’m happy to recommend SGS Heating and Electrical Ltd.

I cannot rate the service any better - they turn up when they say they will, they get the job done in the time they quote and for the price they quote, and they clean up after themselves too! I highly recommend getting a boiler service plan, the peace of mind is worth it, and if you're considering a replacement electric shower, a thermostat upgrade, a dishwasher installation, or just about anything else, we haven't had a bad experience.

I received a request for feedback even though the engineer did not carry out the service. I had booked a boiler service and water filter change. He was most put out, telling me that “the girls in the office” didn’t understand what they had booked him to do. He had never changed this kind of filter and that if he had to do the filter then he’d have to forget doing the boiler service. His sulkiness, patronising way of describing his colleagues and mentality was out of the Ark, so I asked him to leave. I did call the office to give them feedback and was assured I’d receive a call from the office manager, but this feedback request is the only communication I have had. I booked another company to do this the very next day.

SGS installed solar panels, a battery, an EV charger, smoke alarms, thermostats and an air source heat pump. They were excellent and we have been recommending them to friends and neighbours. Several staff went above and beyond expectations and after sales service has also been good. Staff are polite, professional and friendly. Nathan Hollywood, was particularly helpful but I would also give a shout out to Max, Euan and Luke amongst most others.

I was very disappointed with my experience with this company. I was accepted onto their SGS Service Plan, and I was under the impression that the initial inspection was simply part of the process with no extra charge. However, I was later invoiced for the inspection—something I was never informed about. Despite reaching out for clarification, the response I received cited contract clauses that had not been clearly communicated during my application. This lack of transparency and poor communication left me feeling misled and frustrated. I would advise potential customers to ensure all fees and conditions are clearly explained before committing to the service.

Unfortunately could not go ahead due to finances with a quote to fit a sink but I was impressed by quick polite thorough communication to get me a quote when no one else could bother. Will look to use in the future

I ran out of gas for the bbq last night, so popped into SGS this morning for a new gas cylinder. I was there 15 minutes before they opened at 08:00 and when they arrived 5 minutes after me, they opened the shop and got me a new cylinder straight away, even before they were officially open, what great service! Plus, they serve bacon butties and coffee/tea to customers and staff every other Friday, so I joined them. I am very impressed indeed with the SGS staff's friendliness, knowledge, helpfulness and professional attitude. Well done all of you!

Great next day service Good communication with the plumber who was very helpful in solving our problem

We had two gas fireplaces serviced. The technician was very, very knowledgable and helpful. We have only recently moved into the house and wanted to have the appliances checked and serviced. Our technician had to move the bricks which had been put into the wrong place. We will use them again for our next service next year.

I recommend SGS very highly. They are always efficient, come when they say they will and do a great job.

We had a new boiler fitted by Mark from SGS today and the entire experience was first class. It was quick and easy to arrange, was cheaper than the big competitor with far better availability (less than one week for an appointment rather than over two months!) and Mark was friendly and professional throughout the installation. not satisfactory, i remain unsure if my gas fire is safe to use

I was missold a water heating system which was effectively a like for like replacement of the system I already had. The shower problem was worse afterwards. The after sales team were great in rectifying the problem but not before lots of flannel from the original salesman. I now find out from the new property owner that they won't honour the warranty and have made up a story to justify it. Avoid the salesman who masquerades as an engineer/surveyor!

This was the first time using this company for an electrical problem having had excellent plumbing service recently. I was amazed that an electrician was able to attend straight away and arrived only 35 minutes after my call for help. The problem was quickly fixed but turned out to be more complex than first thought and a second visit was required but even this was carried out later the same day. Excellent service.

Bad service, don't know what they are doing

SGS quoted to install solar panels, batteries and EV charger. From the quote through to installation of scaffolding, solar panels, and all electrical works we received excellent service. The work was to high standard and well organised. Any queries were dealt with efficiently and clearly. Scaffolding was removed quickly within a few days of completion. On another occasion after the above works were completed we had a problem with our unvented hot water system, having contacted SGS we requested an urgent call out. SGS were very helpful enabling an engineer to visit and replace the faulty part the following day. We highly recommend SGS Salisbury.

I reported a problem with a bathroom light in a rental property. SGS contacted the tenant, agreed a date for the repair, went round as agreed and fixed the problem. Good job.

Have always used SGS for boiler work but won't be any longer sadly. Had a boiler service which require some work doing as a follow-up. Since then, our heating won't stop even when off on timer unit and thermostat on lowest setting intermittently. We're having to turn the whole boiler off to stop the heating semi-regularly. I reached out to SGS - as this has started happening so soon after the service and work - asking if they wouldn't mind tskinf a look. They said they would, but for a fee. I would understand if six months had passed but as it was a matter of a few weeks, that this would be worthy of a check. I'll be going elsewhere in the future.

This was SGS's fourth and final job since September refurbishing our 30 year our domestic hot water/central heating system. As with the other three jobs, the work was carried out professionally and anything that needed explaining to us was done so in a clear and concise manner. Well done SGS!

SGS serviced my Grant Oil Boiler and replaced a PRV on Nov 14th. Following the service (THE SAME DAY) we had heating system fail, called them and had them back out on the 19th to look at why. The engineer after suggesting various issues and possible causes like the internal cylinder failing DID eventually after I said it must be boiler related find the pipe to the vessel blocked (see image). I never had an issue previously with my heating and despite calling SGS and explaining this and saying I watched the engineer when he serviced the boiler twist the pipe attached to the vessel several times as he was struggling to mount it took no responsibility, saying it must have already been blocked and faulty. I am still having heating issues and wouldn’t use SGS again. When I have a full report of what issues they have caused due to the damage I will update my Google review!

Exemplary service from start to finish with SGS. Dan provided excellent advice on sourcing a WiFi thermostat to replace our existing system and squeezed us into a busy schedule for fitting. Had an emergency leak which was catastrophic and SGS pulled out all the stops from the emergency plumber coming out to get it under control. Within 48 hours, the problem all been sorted and a new header tank fitted. Absolutely would recommend SGS to anyone. Very professional and courteous.

I had my boiler check done a few days ago and I must say that I had such a lovely experience since the moment I contacted the customer service at SGS Heating and Electrical company. Courtney who answered my call was at all times courteous, diplomatic and informative. The boiler engineer was booked within minutes and since the appointment was made Courtney made sure she kept me looped in with any info or changes. Likewise the engineer called me when at the premises to make sure all goes smoothly. I sure I'll use the company again.

What a FANTASTIC TEAM SGS are !!!! From start to finish, courteous, respectful, always on time, attention to detail, good quality workmanship, good problem solvers with solutions. I was a bit guarded initially, but Colin who came out to assess what I needed doing and to give me a quote, (for a bathroom refurb/new shower), was a really, really, lovely chap. Couldn’t have asked for better service. Mark came today to fit my new boiler and flush out my central heating system. He arrived exactly when I was expecting and worked hard through the morning and lunch to get the job done in a day. His work was extremely thorough and he made sure that the entire heating system had good flow, was properly configured and was in full working order before he left. Right from the first call out to the new boiler fitting I have found SGS to be fair, honest and efficient. Their workers never exaggerated what needed to be done and could explain the reason behind every job. My quotes have all been accurate and the accounts team are super helpful. A seamless, efficient replacement of my old immersion, roof tank and shower with a new, slimline unvented unit. We were really pleased with the service we received from initial visit to final commissioning and supplementary paperwork. A friendly and thoughtful team of workers who answered our queries clearly and followed up with us in a timely manner.

The installation of a GiveEnergy solar panels and battery by SGS was quick, clean and efficient. It was carried out on schedule, with the minimum of disruption in terms of scaffolding on the pavement and works carried out in the house, garage and loft space. Our prior concern on the considerable wiring required internally was unnecessary, as the management and team were careful to avoid routing that required redecoration, which other quotes indicated.

Absolutely disgusting service 1star is still too much. SGS were booked to come and look at an issue with a leak on our boiler - I waited in for the afternoon and no one showed up (my husband had a missed call from a private number but was at work no message left), when I called at 4pm to chase the engineer they said they couldn't find our home. After a frustrating conversation they did manage to move stuff around to get to us the following day - so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and booked the repair in for this week yesterday 9-12 arrival. Firstly they had obviously changed the time or booked it incorrectly, I chased at just after 12 as no one had arrived asking for an ETA, no one called me back so I called again half hour later and the told me at around 1pm they were on the way. When they arrived they got on with the work and came to tell me it was all done and I'd receive the service paperwork via email great or so I thought, as they were leaving I quickly looked and the boiler cupboard was wonky and a part of it hanging off the wall - I managed to quickly stop them on the driveway to rectify (this is a pretty hard ask at 38weeks pregnant). The younger lad came back in a continued to adjust the cupboard for 45minutes - he improved it but it wasn't perfect. The man that was training him just sat in the van... Poor guy in my house beating himself up (if this is how you support your staff I'm glad I don't work for you). I was told that a multi trader would come back to sort and I'd receive a phone call. Then we get to today - I have received an invoice, no paperwork for the service and no talk of anyone coming back to the property, this tells me what kind of company SGS is, only caring about money rather than a level of service. I have called to get this before paying any invoice only for the lady to get abrupt back with me and tell me there is no manager in and I'll receive a phone call tomorrow, I'm not holding my breath....

The team from SGS were first rate with our solar install in March 2024 (panels, inverter, battery, Eddi) - a competitive price and very short turnaround time from placing the order to the installation being complete and scaffolding immediately removed (about two weeks in total). Nathan was very knowledgeable and helpful both in terms of preparing our proposal and quote for the work and in terms of the care and attention he gave us during the installation process. Luke and the team who did the installation were professional, hardworking and considerate. And the scaffolding crew wasted no time either in setup or in removal. We recently had our ten year old Glow Worm boiler replaced having spent a significant sum of money replacing various parts , whilst living with the infamous F28 fault code. We stopped throwing good money after bad, after twelve months, when SGS, a local company came to the rescue. From first contact through to the installation of our new Worcs Bosch gas boiler, supplied by them, the level of care, communication and services provided have been outstanding. We have also taken out a service contract with them. They are highly recommended.

They carried out work on a flat within my block. Decided they'd just leave the old boiler, water tank and other rubbish in front of the building. How considerate!

We had solar panels and a battery installed by SGS just before Christmas. The team was excellent and the experience was very good. Nathan Hollywood came to the house to assess what we needed and gave us the quote. He talked us through the options and helped us get the right one. He also coordinated the installation and was able to deal very effectively with a snag that arose when we found our roof was not in good condition. Everyone who worked on the installation did a great job and was polite, helpful and efficient. Communication was attentive and responsive. The experience was very good throughout and I highly recommend SGS if you are thinking about solar panels.

SGS installed Solar panels with battery and inverter on our house in Harnham in early December 2023. We are very happy with the result and recommend SGS to others considering having Solar panels fitted. We did consider other providers, but two things caused us to choose SGS. First, from our initial enquiry, the interaction with SGS was positive and professional. They responded quickly. The survey was thorough and SGS's advice about where the battery and inverter could be fitted was honest and practical. Then, the fitting and installation was done quickly and the inevitable unexpected hiccups were resolved rapidly. The aftercare follow up has been good. The second reason we chose SGS was that it made sense to use a local firm in terms of long-term maintenance and aftercare.

I called SGS today because a 13-year-old boiler was showing fault codes. They were able to send someone within a few hours. The engineer explained what the issue was, and the steps he'd taken and fixed two issues in the combo-boiler. Excellent service, thank you.

SGS carried out the installation of our Solar PV system. They were recommended by a Yorkshireman who had SGS instal the same system for him, he was so pleased he almost broke into a smile. Even though we are about 150 miles from SGS’s area of Ops they agreed to instal for us. Throughout the project, communications with the Project & Renewables Manager were good and update communication passed both ways prior to the instal date. The team arrived early day 1 and went about their business without complaint enduring the usual poor Welsh weather gave them. Their work is very neat and looks professional – probably because they send qualified electricians with many years’ experience unlike other installers who, we find, have only done a short instal course. The instal went well with a second confirmatory check the day after it was commissioned to ensure no faults had occurred overnight. A full brief was given prior to clearing and sweep-up and departure. SGS quote was reasonable - quality job – be it labour or the equipment used. Highly recommended.

Phoned SGS this morning (27 December) to ask if they could send someone to fix a power cut in my house. Within 3 hours an electrician arrived (Isaac) who very quickly and efficiently carried out some checks and fixed the problem. Impressive and friendly service, especially on the day after Boxing Day.

I called the SGS out of hours Emergency line to tell the Engineer who was on duty that my central heating boiler had stopped working. By 11.00 am the next morning an Engineer was in my house and in no time at all he identified two completely unrelated problems both of which required replacement parts which he carried on his van. Very positive experience of working with SGS (Nathan and Luke) through the quote and installation phases. Really neat and tidy install - system working well and the minor issues around the installation were rectified without challenge and rapidly. Would recommend to others.

Dreadful customer service. Can't fault the plumber, who was helpful, imaginative, tidy, efficient and polite. But it took four weeks and three visits to fit a small basin, which I supplied, to a replacement wood surround. Then the invoice, which took no account of the £150 deposit paid before the start. Payment for the full amount was twice demanded, on email and by phone, without a corrected invoice. An honest mistake, or deliberate overcharge? Impossible to judge, but it happened twice. The company said it was "an I.T. fault." Profoundly unimpressed.

Nathan and Luke installed a PV solar system with battery storage on our garage. Their service and professional advice was exemplary throughout; maintaining regular communication throughout the enquiry and installation process and they have remained available to answer questions following the installation. I have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of their work and their attention to detail. They were keen to tailor the system exactly to our needs and after discussion various aspects of the installation were modified to fit it around the space available without compromising the aesthetics of the house. They have provided an excellent service service and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Had a leak from a shower and asked SGS to quote me (was in Europe at time and renting house) they checked and advised the issue was likely due to a faulty shower tray, they quoted nearly £1000 to replace the shower tray. I accepted this at the time because I assumed the work would be finished to a very high standard. Unknown to me the leak continued when tenants were having long showers, but they did not notice or let me know. When I returned from travels and moved back into the house the leak was obvious. Asked them to return to resolve the issue since it was within their 1-year work guarantee, they tell me that it's not the shower tray and it's the tiles that need replacing. I assumed the cost of the work would be covered as the original assessment and work on the leak did not resolve the problem. They quoted me over £1500 to replace the tiles or £800 to replace them but with me fitting the bill for the tiles. After a few emails and me waiting weeks for a reply SGS have advised me that they will not be covering the bill for the shoddy work and bad assessment. I have since had other professionals assess the situation and they have quoted me a modest £300 to complete the same work and in one case advised they could fix it for £50 (although this is not replacing tiles etc). Perhaps this kind of thing is not SGS's area of expertise but the quotes I was given were outrageously expensive and not worth it at all. I will not be using them again and would advise for anything leak/tiling bathroom related (as this is my only experience) that you pick another company.

Needed a quick repair to a leaking toilet. The came out quickly and completed the job without fuss. Only charged call out fee.

We had an air source heat pump installed and the company has been fantastic. They helped plan the hearing system, taking the time to discuss the placement and design of radiators. 1) Replace Fan in Shower Room to complete satisfaction by the company electrical department. 2) Various plumbing jobs including kitchen tap replacement, two sink basin outlets, two toilet seats replaced, leak in bathroom shower washer replaced and investigation of leak to outside tap. I have had solar panels and a battery fitted by Ben and Isaac from SGS. Both the installation team and SGS understood my exact requirements and carried this out as per discussed and noted at the survey stage. The electricians Ben and Isaac were very friendly, polite and courteous. The electrical installation in the loft and externally is extremely neat. very expensive experience having wi fi thermostat replaced . The whole job took 2 hrs ( 1 of which wasted ) checking and changing wiring which has been OK for 8 years, after changing ,the boiler refused to work at all . put wiring back to orignal position and surprise it worked , but then after other checks on different parts were made it was decided the thermostat was faulty (which sgs were told at the time of making the Non urgent appointment ) .After then going to get replacement unit came back and fitted new unit an left within 15 min . Doubtful if I will renew me service contract them with again.when the bill arrived I noticed the thermostat was priced at 50% above retail price in many D I Y stores ,and got no answer when asked about this

Visited Friday to repressurise system at my 86 yeat old mothers house. I emailed to tell them boiler making terrible noise. No response Im in USA & now the boiler is not working & they have no one to fix it. Unacceptable

The engineers were polite and carried out the work (flushing two radiators which were partially blocked with sediment) efficiently and effectively. They worked tidily and left the work area completely clean. We were well satisfied.

During the last 4 months I have engaged SGS for 2 projects at my home. 1) A new gas boiler 2) The installation and commissioning of a solar PV system, including battery. Good quick service on gas boiler which was showing fault code D5. They identified the problem and made a temporary fix while a new condensate pump was obtained What was very poor was the estimated price of the new pump which was £432. I checked the price of this pump with a local plumbing shops and was supprised to find it was available at £310. I made SGS aware of the price difference when paying the bill and they were supprised at this discrepancy, no mention was made of any price reduction. on my bill. SGS offered a quick professional service but I suggest they should not add about £120 to a new part.

We recently bought a house in Salisbury and knew the heating needed replacing, we had a Potterton boiler from the 80s which wasn't fit for purpose. Carl, came to our house and carried out an assesment, a recommendation and a provided us with a quote, explaining everything, from start to finish. A week later we had a Worcester Bosch Life 35kW System Boiler system fitted inside of 3 days. Dan and his team of plumbers were tidy and precise. No issues since and we are very pleased with the performance of the boiler. I will be using SGS again to install some new radiators in the new year as well as solar panels. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I've just had a superb experience. After a visit from Wessex Water, I was advised we needed a plumber around super quick to repair three leaky toilets. Within an hour, an engineer called Charlie came, solved the issue, explained a few other preventative easy wins in the house and solved the issue. The communication was outstanding throughout and they handled the urgent situation professionally, quickly and gave a level of onsite service that added value above and beyond what they needed to.

Shower installation. After 5 months of ongoing problems, SGS are now removing every useless thing they installed and we are going elsewhere. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!!!!!

My daughters central heating in her new home when switched on would not return to the boiler. The servicing company came and confirmed there was a problem but could not fault find and offered a date in 6 weeks to come back! I'd used SGS for my boiler installation, so called them, they booked an emergency visit for the next working day and within three hours my daughters heating was working. A relief in November!

My father had asked them to come to quote for a job. The engineer refused to leave their house without being paid. They weren't made aware that there would be a charge to come and quote for a job. Buyers beware. Issue was eventually resolved and refund given after a couple of calls.

SGS offered great service from start to finish. They were able to attend the property within a matter of days, picked up the keys from the estate agents office without trouble, attended the property and inspected the boiler and gas fire, and reported the outcomes to me immediately. Very professional & reliable, and will be using again in the future.

SGS replaced our entire ( non-working) heating & hot water system for a new all electric boiler & cylinder, replaced the fuse board and installed a log burner for us. All in 7 days, and all with minimum disruption. The team on site were polite and courteous from day 1 and at the end of each day left the house clean, neat & tidy. Engineer was fine. However charging us near £400 to replace a few small parts and about 30 minutes work is nothing short of disgusting, really quite angry and upset. please avoid!!

These guys did a fantastic job of upgrading our heating and electric, they're friendly courteous and very professional. I was dreading the upheaval but they made it as painless as possible and the advice given regards choice of boiler was spot on. We're very happy customers and can't recommend them highly enough!

Called on the 21st December to report a small leak in my bathroom. Was told I would get a call within 24 hours as it was not an emergency. Called the next day to be told the same thing, Chased again on the Wednesday to be told someone was coming out but at a time that was not convenient. No contact to see if a time was suitable for me just to be told a plumber will be with you at lunchtime. Very poor communication as I waited inside for 2 days with no contact, certainly wont be using again.

Helpful staff

SGS installed our new boiler and heating system a month ago. When our builder pierced a heating pipe, fitting out the new linen cupboard, we had a problem, as hot water started seeping out all over the floor. We called SGS and they came round within a couple of hours and fixed it. We were so impressed with the efficiency and quality of the repair. Also how they cleaned up after they had finished. It took them an hour at the end of a long day, but remained cheerful throughout. So wonderful to find a heating, plumbing, electrical company one can rely on. We thoroughly recommend them.

Engineer arrived when he said he would. He repaired my boiler with minimum fuse and noise. I was able to pay him immediately using my credit card, he cleared up and left. Really delighted with the service and happy to recommend SGS to others.

The overall experience was one of total incompetence. Three visits were required to conclude that the first engineer who fitted a new element to the water boiler, set the thermostat to minimal heat. The second, electrician, didn't identify this either. Both were specifically asked about temperature settings. Third visit, having spent days waiting in for each to arrive, did identify the issue within seconds of removing the cover. Total incompetence!

I have a leak and phoned SGS believing them to be reputable. Three days later have had a visit from a heating engineer and a plumber but no further communication. Meantime the destruction to my ceiling,carpet and floor continue, despite the heating engineer telling me no more water would come through.

I asked SGS to install a cold water tank. They installed but since then cold water is leaking through a pipe. I asked them to come and check and they want to charge £84 for coming to check the leak. I only had this leak since SGS guy come to install cold water tank. I never will use them again. Very poor customer service.

Annual boiler service today. Engineer most pleasant and helpful. Solved a minor problem I have had since boiler was first installed a few year's ago. Many thanks.
