From the beginning of the project they were very helpful and professional. Unlike other companies they were happy to send a person to the site to do a survey and discuss the project with us. After that, they were very patient and helpful in answering all our questions (millions of them). When we decided to go ahead, everything was organised and delivered on time. They were not the cheapest but worth every penny. We are happy with the result, and most importantly, the system was designed very well.
Tile Energy have been brilliant from start to finish. They installed our system in November 2025 and the whole process was smooth, efficient, and really tidy. The system has been running perfectly ever since — and I’ll admit I’ve become slightly obsessed with checking the SolarEdge app to see exactly how it’s all performing. It’s a great feeling knowing we’re so well insulated from any future energy issues. The quality of the installation has given us a lot of confidence, and I can definitely see us going back to them in the future to increase our battery storage and add backup capability for power cuts. A genuinely great local company. Highly recommended.

The whole installation process was very professional and efficient, and all the Tile Energy employees and subcontractors were helpful and pleasant to deal with. I have just received my first month's bills from Octopus - the net cost of my energy for February was less than £5 (including standing charges), at last year's rates it would have cost me over £140. I look forward to some summer sun ... :-). The one thing I did not pick up on at the beginning was how smart the Tesla control software is. I started off trying to micro-manage exporting excess energy from the battery myself ... without realising that if i leave it alone the software will do that for me! All in all, very happy. Andrew
Tile Energy recently installed Tesla batteries at our home. The technician was superb, not only the quality of his work, but also in ensuring a better siting for all the kit and routing of cables than originally envisioned. The support being offered post installation from their office has been most helpful too. They are a good company whom I have already recommended to others.
After extensive research, we decided to go with Tile Energy — and we’re very pleased to say it was absolutely the right decision! From the moment Andy arrived to carry out the initial survey, we’ve been impressed. Everyone who has been on site throughout the process has been professional, friendly, and hardworking. They are all a real credit to the company. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tile Energy to anyone considering their services.
Tile Energy installed panels the week before Christmas. The installation process was fraught with issues. Whilst in the loft they caused a water leak by, I assume, stepping on pipe work. Luckily we spotted this the next day, so the bedroom ceiling only needed redecorating. They also burnt a hole in the lounge carpet, that needed a repair, and cracked an outside brick whilst drilling through the wall for the internet connection cable. To top it all off one of the panels was faulty , and this took 5 visits to fix, which each time meant more engineers climbing all over the roof. During the 6 weeks it took to resolve the issues, the communication from Tile Energy was poor, with little empathy for the upset caused. The actual installation team were ok to communicate with, but Tile certainly lack customer management. I realise the issues were compounded by the Christmas break, but being left not knowing when and how things were to be resolved was very poor. At the end the owner offered a measly amount of compensation (£60) for all the damage, worry and time we spent resolving these issues. Tile Energy did cover the cost of all repairs, but did not appreciate the amount of effort and work from our side. A real shame to have to give a bad review, as we chose Tile Energy because they are a local firm who came highly recommended.
We were recommended Tile Energy by family who used them and we have heard their aftercare is good. They also have a high number of positive reviews online. We explained what we planned to use the solar for and due to the positioning of our house, we found we would benefit from panels on the front and back. We also had a powerwall installed. We have found Tile to be very professional and the communication has been very good. The fitters were great, they didn't do anything without checking with us first in terms of placement and explained how to use it all and helped set it up with the apps. They tidied up and completed the work in a timely manner. We did have an issue with some damage caused by the scaffolders, but Tile resolved the issue for us very quickly and we are very grateful that Tile has sorted it for us. Thanks Tile Energy, we are very pleased with our system and we are looking forward to seeing the results in the summer. We are already seeing very positive results even in these short winter days and we have also benefitted during a recent powercut in the area. We now have an EV and its really convenient being able to charge from home.
I'm local to Swindon and so was looking for a local firm to advise on, and ultimately install, a solar & battery system for my home. Over the course of the past few months I've dealt with several people at Tile Energy, from project co-ordinators, to surveyors, to the installers themselves. All of our communication has been stellar. Unfortunately for us, our DNO (SSEN), couldn't approve our initial requested design which meant we had to alter the plans. But Tile were more than happy to come back out and run through the options and various implications face to face to ensure we were comfortable that we could make a well informed decision on how best to proceed. The system was installed this week and the chaps on site were all very friendly and helpful when I inevitably kept interrupting to ask questions. The work carried out was also very thoughtful and tidy, seeking out the best options for where to route cables etc. Overall I'm very happy with our choice of installer and am looking forward to generating plenty of free energy from the sun once winter is out of the way.
Thanks for wasting 2 days off for me, last week you cancelled an appointment an evening before you were meant to meet us. Now today you message 2hrs before an appointment to say you don't think the house is suitable for solar based off a single Google map image. Guess I'll go with one of the 2 other companies who actually bothered to come and design the system we needed. Incase you were curious we've managed to get 21 panels, (consideriby more than the 6 you took a guess at) 20kw storage with gateway switchover. Business must be good if you can turn away a 20k install without even a site visit. If I ever get asked for my experience with solar I'll be sure to tell anyone to avoid your company.
Tileenergy have been fantastic and thorough throughout - we're now 6 months down the line (since installation) and we're very pleased with their support service when issues arise. We had a different solar solution and company for our last house and they were very unresponsive once they had been paid - so we were extra careful this time and so far have lived up to what they promised. There have been some issues with solaredge since a recent update, which I notice on the facebook community others have had difficulty getting help with from their supplier but Tileenergy have been very helpful providing workarounds whilst solaredge work it out.
The whole experience from sales through to installation has been very good. Nice people working efficiently causing the minimum disruption 😀😀😀
Just had Tesla Powerwall (more money for Mad Elon) and 24 solar panels installed. Two days of professional work carried out in a timely and tidy manner by a crew of knowledgeable individuals. You're not going to do this more than once - so avoid cheaper equipment and solutions offered by bulk buying schemes and fit the best by the best
Tile Energy have just I stalled solar panels and battery to my house. The installation was undertaken efficiently and I was kept undated when the installers and electricians were due to call. In my original survey ,it was suggested that a tp link WiFi extender was required. When the electrician came, I asked if it would be possible to hard wire the link as opposed to wi-fi as reading reviews, the link extenders are prone to only last 12 months. The electrician, Simon, was more than happy to hard wire the system.. I am now awaiting the documents to submit to energy company to get my seg payments.
Had Tile Energy back this week to install an EV charger into our solar/battery power setup that they installed a couple of years ago. They have done another fab job with this installation - Simon worked closely with us to find the most suitable cable run and has done a really tidy job. Very happy and once again really impressed with the overall service provided by Tile Energy.
Tile Energy installed my solar system 9 months ago. The whole experience has been positive and the system has worked well untill recently. In the last month the SolarEdge inverter failed but importantly the quick and professional response from Tile Energy has been first class in restoring a working system.
I have been really impressed with Tile Energy. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, helpful and communicated well. When I had an issue, the team were out to me to fix it within a couple of hours. I would definitely recommend Tile Energy.

I cannot get any sense out of this company They carried out an installation for us end of January 2025, during installation they managed to damage a family heirloom even though I offered to move, their tradesman damaged it anyway Nothing but problems after installation, panels are uneven and look terrible even though our roof is fine and level, I am the laughing stock of my neighbours Roof is leaking when it was abidolitely fine and watertight bergore this installation took place This company seems to rely heavily on emails and photoes whereas a local company would at least come out to view the problems, They don’t seem to believe I’ve got these issues even though I’ve provided photographic proof they have requested which is the way they seem to deal with things My roofer says panels will need to come off for his team to address the leaks that tile energy has causes, never had roof issues until this company got involved On the verge of asking for a full refund Would not recommend this company
Installation is now just over 1 year ago. The system has worked flawlessly throughout. The team at Tile Energy are a pleasure to deal with, from initial survey through to completion. These are dedicated professionals who work to high standards and take their customers seriously. Yes, they're not the cheapest out there, but it pays to work with a well-established business that installs good quality products and gives you a system that functions reliably. They explained the process clearly and answered all my questions patiently. It is often said that you get what you pay for and this was delivered in spades by Tile Energy. Having made enquiries with several competitors, Tile Energy was the only PV supplier and installer that made a home visit before committing to a quotation. The Tile Energy surveyor was noticeably more experienced and knowledgeable than the others I had spoken to. This coupled with their offer of more advanced Solar Edge system monitoring and panel optimisation and higher capacity solar panels than the competitors made my decision a firm one. The installation work was done efficiently with care and tidiness. The post installation administrative work was also handled with care and courtesy. I would recommend this supplier to all.
I checked out multiple solar providers but I really had trust in Andy Tasker. It took a 2 years to commit with Andy always available to answer questions but never a pushy salesman. Having made the decision the team put us into their schedule and came on time. The weather was appalling but that didn’t stop them. It was the first Powerwall 3 Simon and Liam had installed so maybe I got special treatment but they were fantastic. The job was efficiently completed even with my constant interruptions (natural curiosity). Up and running and loving watching the interactions of the panels, the grid and the Powerwall. I’ve become a bore to family and friends. I highly recommend Tile Energy.
Excellent assessment and advice. We didn't go ahead with the installation as a result of the advice provided. It could have been a different - and potentially very disappointing - result without Andy's input. A treat to find someone so honest. If there is a change in circumstances we'll be back!!!!

I can’t recommend TILE ENERGY BOWMAN HOUSE, HOPE WELL HOUSE, WHITEHILL LN, ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT, SWINDON SN4 7DB highly enough. They originally installed our PV panels and Tesla PowerWall 2 battery to an excellent standard. Having experienced an issue recently they were in attendance within 48 hours testing the installation in consultation with the equipment manufacturers. Within a week they had established the issue and immediately attended to remedy it. We now have our solar powered installation fully functional again. Nothing was too much trouble for them, great communication and update. Workmanship was of the highest quality with as little disruption as possible. See attached photos. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Not something you can often say in this day and age. A massive thank to to Tile Energy.
Had an appointment with Craig at 1pm for a quote and my house to be measured up and he never turned up or even called me. To be honest after initial calls they didn't want my business and the appointment was made to appease me. TERRIBLE customer service. Even the person who recommended me said he has had problems with them. DO NOT USE.

From first contact and survey to cleaning up the site Tile Energy were professional, friendly and efficient. Follow-up questions post-installation were dealt with pretty much immediately and I don't doubt they will keep to their promise of looking after us whenever we need some help. I'm fairly cynical, but they really did outperform our expectations.
The Tile Energy operation is a well oiled machine with great hand-offs between the teams. From Craig who was patient through the sales and survey stage, to Liam, who helped with all things documentation, India who coordinated the installation and the installation team who did a fantastic job. We decided to use Tile Energy following a full house survey and system overview provided by Craig from their sales team. We agreed on 16 solar panel, Solar Edge inverter system and a TESLA Powerwall 2 battery. The customer service project team provided us with an outstanding very professional and friendly service throughout. The installation team took just over one day to complete the system installation, the quality of their workmanship was of a very high standard. Overall, Tile Energy provided us with a first class service with an amazing commitment to customer service. We would highly recommend Tile Energy to anyone looking to install a solar panel and battery storage system.
We contracted Tile for PV panels and a PowerWall battery in July 2022. They are not the cheapest company in the field but they do specify highly efficient products which deliver value for money long-term. It has taken 13 months to complete the contract due to the massive growth in PV system orders driven by increased energy costs. During this period Tile have clearly struggled to keep up with demand. Customer relations during these long waits have been at best patchy, and it has been hard work sometimes to find out what is going on. Ultimately, once the hardware is actually on site and installation can begin, their people are knowledgeable, competent and flexible. Hardware delivery arrangements leave much to be desired, as a third-party delivery company is used which inevitably leaves the customer 'holding the baby' when things go wrong. A strong and experienced technology company which needs to pay more attention to the customer experience.
Liam's (TSA) perseverance to drive through the DNO registration was just fantastic.
We contacted Tile Energy following a personal recommendation and reading prior reviews. Our initial contact was with Ahmed, who was excellent in listening to our requirements and suggesting options. We ultimately decided to go ahead with a 24 panel SolarEdge system and Tesla Battery. Due to supply issues following high industry demand the delivery of our system was going to be some months from the design stage, but this was made clear. The price of the system was locked in from the agreement date and remained unchanged. India and Demi were happy to provide updates and work around our plans when install dates arrived. Everyone we met or were in contact with through the process were very friendly. All work was completed to a high standard. We are very pleased with the final result. A special thanks goes to Leke as well who assisted with information to ensure that we could have an install with no cables showing.
Tile Energy did an excellent job. As some of the other reviews have also mentioned, they are not the cheapest quote around, but their equipment is superior and the quality and professionalism of the installers and electricians was superb. Andy Tasker was my main POC and very trustworthy and responsive on Q&A. My only (mild) complaint was how long it took to install the PV array (7 months after order) and the Tesla battery (13 months although we had been warned to expect 9+ months when I ordered it). That isn't all Tile Energy fault, but worth considering when placing an order.
A great company to deal with overall. Having to wait over 10 months for delivery indicates how popular the product is. My installer, James was brilliant - I recommend him. The installation stumbled over the Internet and I was advised on the day that I needed to buy a Powerline signal enhancer and an ethernet extension block at my own cost. The battery worked well for a few months but eventually stopped storing energy from my solar array. It was replaced and this was done very efficiently. It seems to two "missing" components are the problem and I have ordered them - hopefully it will work!! If these are essential, then my argument is they should be provided or the customer informed they must be purchased. This review would be 5 star without this blip.

6kW Solar PV system with Tesla Gateway & Powerwall 2 Tile Energy have provided me with a positive, informed experience from start to finish. From my initial contact after an industry tradesman recommendation for the type of system I required, all Tile staff have been helpful. Leke, the sales lead engaged with good, clear comms and pandered to my inquisitive nature supplying me with sound answers to my many queries. Although my order coincided with the start of the 2022 UK energy crisis, lead times were explained (and kept to). Whilst I may have had to prompt for feedback and information at times, the responses were always forthcoming and timely. The handover pack I was supplied with was comprehensive and in my dealings with the electrical installation team I found them friendly, efficient and professional. Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending Tile Energy for anybody considering a solar PV installation - indeed l already have.
Both Paul and I spent many hours researching Solar PV companies and after receiving several quotations decided to go with Tile Energy. They are definitely not the cheapest on the market but the reason we chose them is because we were so impressed with Andy who came to give us a quote (on a Saturday morning). He was so professional and knowledgeable, answering all our questions. He set our minds at rest about any concerns we had, and we are now just waiting for a date to have the panels installed.
As a new customer Tile Energy installed a 5.3 kw array plus 10 Kw storage battery. It has performed beyond my expectations. Andrew Tasker was the only person to follow up on my original enquiry, answered all my questions and gave me the reassurance I needed, in fact so reassured I did not follow up with any other company. The whole install went to plan and now I am thinking of adding more panels from Tile Energy.

I chose Tile Energy over two other companies because their response to any of my questions was much faster and more detailed than the others. Their price was competitive, not the lowest cost but I felt the best value for money in terms my perceived impression of what after sales support would be like. So far this has proved to be correct. During the commissioning process a few problems were encountered but all corrected. The installation plan went exactly according to schedule with very minimum disruption. They didn't try to sell me something I didn't want and were very honest in their assessment of what I wanted so overall I would recommend Tile Energy and give them a 5 Star Rating.
Very efficient and provided lots of information. Did everything as promised without any delay other than getting the licence from the electricity provider due to the large number of applications currently because of the increase in fuel costs.
Tile Energy installed my 10kwh system at the end of March. From the get go, it was clear this wasn't just a "sales" activity for them. Instead, I received consultation, getting to understand my lifestyle, needs, requirements and future plans. From there, I was provided with the best option in terms of system size, array orientation etc. Each point and feedback was backed up with reasons why. Information provided by tile energy & answers to my questions were clear enough for me to take a decision. Then going from supply of the products to installation and aftercare, the team were excellent. I'm absolutely satisfied and glad I went with this company. Andy Tasker has been excellent; so patient with us and all of our questions. We now have the panels installed and it took the team less than a day to put up the 14 units. Next stop: the battery, which is on order. Dylan has done all of the electrics so battery just needs to be put in when it arrives. Can't recommend this company highly enough.
My Solar Edge panels x 16 & Zappi car charger were installed end of March 2022 and I am delighted! On average, so far my panels are producing 115KWH per week, I use about 60-70KWH per week. On a sunny day 24.5KWH, on a cloudy day the lowest they’ve produced is about 8KWH. They are great! From start to finish Leke was responsive to all my phone calls, my numerous questions, he explained everything in a non-patronising but clear way. He did not push, no hard selling at all. I obtained quotes from 2 other suppliers & I found Leke was the most straightforward, most clear. Once I made my mind up, it took me a year to decide, my panels were installed within the same month. Leke & his team coordinated everything so smoothly, scaffolding, delivery of panels/materials, installation & clear up. No hassle, no fuss. His electrician James & installers Simon & Kane were lovely, very efficient, but also a pleasure to have in my house. Genuinely nice gentlemen. Amazing 5* service all round, thank you Leke & team! I am highly recommending Tile Energy to all that ask about my solar panels.
Excellent and prompt service. I was very impressed with the thorough and professional way in which Andy conducted the survey. But I couldn't have predicted the outcome. The verdict was that it would probably take me between 10 - 15 years to break even on my investment and that therefore it probably wasn't worth doing. Such honesty is rare and I greatly appreciated it.
Leke and team were great. I spent a few months researching the solution I wanted and Leke was really good at explaining the options available. The install of the panels was fast and in fact the tile energy team managed to improve the panel layout design so we would get an extra panel! There was a wait for the battery (due to supplier delays) but now we have the battery installed and everything is working file. Tile Energy are a great company to use, very reliable, competitive pricing and easy to deal with!
When we decided to have solar panels fitted last year we chose Tile Energy over other national companies because we were impressed with the first class service provided. What sets this company apart from others is the amazing commitment they provide to their customers. This was illustrated by the response from their managing director last week when our system went down. He personally gave up his time to identify the problem and to guide me through the process of resetting the equipment. The next day he contacted me again to ensure that all was well and assured me that I could contact him again if any further help was needed. This is a fantastic company that offers a truly professional service and I would recommend them to anyone looking to install solar panels in the future.
Excellent from start to finish. Leke offered great advice and helped design a system to meet my needs and the entire experience has been exemplary. Andy and his team arrived on the day and completed the task as planned. They were a pleasure to host and did a great job. I now have a 33 PV panel SolarEdge based system with a LH Chem battery and immersion tank Smart Energy Hot Water to use excess solar - vary happy. I highly recommend Tile Energy Ltd.
