D P Goodwin provided accurate quotations and carried out the required work on schedule and with no unexpected costs, and had a very good office manager, called Emma. They charged a lot less than I expected, and the work was carried out neatly and vey professionally. They rationalised a complicated outdoor lighting system, installed various new outdoor lights, including PIRs and a solar triggered timer. They also added outdoor sockets. Highly recommended, and they are my future goto firm for electrical work.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience of DP Goodwin. Communication was excellent and I was kept informed and updated. I had a Ring doorbell installed and I am very happy with the result. The electrician was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He also took the time to set me up on the app, install the Chimes and explain how it all works. Cannot fault this company. We needed someone to first, second fix and connect the mains into the fuse board in our garden pub. Dec the project manager was fantastic from start to finish. He quoted a very realistic price for the work that needed to be done, compared to three other companies. Communication was fantastic and job started and finished exactly when we needed it to. Dec found the solution for installing a disco ball install, to which I am very grateful! Both sparks on the job did a really good job. Even screwed socket screws all the same way. Top firm of electricians. Used them 5 years ago to re/wire my house and no issues since. We used them (Stuart) to install PV Solar Panels last year and again this month to install a dedicated 20amp ‘Commando’ isolated for my MIG welder. Highly Recommended.

Really poor service, came out to do the quote and wasted our afternoon. The person who did do the quote didn’t turn up to do the job it was someone else who didn’t have a clue about the job or without proper credentials They then couldn’t install the ring door as the person who arrived said it wouldn’t work and not go do it, so whoever came to do the quote should have told us this! Then we get a rude email from Goodwin telling why we were in the wrong had the wrong equipment which was shown to them when they came do the quote. The holes around the cameras they installed haven’t been filled and looked awful we have still be charged an invoice with a call out charge still added and a nominal reduction with no ring doorbell installed… Steer clear

Contacted D P Goodwin group to have electrics in the home checked and to get information on some hi fi equipment. The service was excellent and professional every step of the way. Unlike most British companies, D P Goodwin are very conscientious about finding solutions to snags. Two other companies had given up on getting our rooflights working but DP Goodwin didn’t abandon us and they found the solution required at a very reasonable cost. They saved us the expense of having to replace 3 rooflights for which we are very grateful.

We needed to retrospectively hard wire in a heat sensor, two smoke alarms and change two existing bases so they all linked up. We also added some garden lights. Had a good experience with DP Goodwin. They are organised and communicate quickly. They turn up when they say they will turn up. They were polite and friendly and got on with the work only using their phones to communicate with head office regarding updates on our job. They were able to overcome obstacles in the work without complaint. The quote they gave me matched other quotes from other suppliers but I am happy that we chose DP Goodwin and would do so again.

My experience with the D P Goodwin Group has been a very positive one. Initially they replaced the old smoke & heat alarms - excellent job. I then asked them to remove halogen bulbs where necessary and replace them with LED lights. We had a couple of glitches along the way due to incompatibility of old technology with new technology but they found a way through without it costing me a fortune. Always a plus! The Company is very organised and contacting them is easy with Emma & Declan on the other end of the line or email to arrange for an electrician to attend. I had a problem with my shower and their response was swift, from the phone call at lunch time it was fixed at around 5.00p.m on the same day. The young lad that came round initially thought I needed a new shower but when we discovered the fuse box hadn't been tripped he went out of his way to find the root cause of the problem. He managed to sort it all out in an hour and thankfully I didn't have to fork out for a new shower! I'm so relieved. Thankyou!

Tom the engneer arrived on time and was very well presented. He took time to check what was required. He the proceeded to carry out the work and as we are a new home kept everything clean and tidy. We also had a Ring doorbell installed which he took time to make sure all was working well. Overall a very good service.
