Booked an EICR check turned up at property knocked the door no answer as no one heard the door but didnt call and just left then texed to say gone. Cheers.

Over the Christmas break I had a problem with a light fitting, and Paul came to help at incredibly short notice. It was a pleasure to have him and Mike back to replace my very old cooker isolator switch, add a new socket and fit a new consumer unit. Both men are polite, efficient, tidy and you don't feel remotely uncomfortable having them in your home, which is a big deal. The price was very reasonable, there were no hidden extras, and every aspect of the job was explained clearly. I was also provided with certificates to share with my landlord to comply with legal requirements. So happy to have found Ion Electrix, you will be my go-to from now on!

I am adding a Five Star review for this business and the gentleman Paul who supported us with some housing repairs and installations. He was always communicative with any developments or delays and was passionate in helping us receive the best service possible, even going above and beyond by contacting relevant parties directly to get us approval for the jobs that were necessary for our comfort and piece of mind. I would definitely recommend this business if you want honesty and transparency in their services offered and reliable support.

Excellent job! I contacted Paul due to the excellent reviews on his website and Google, I was not disappointed. I wanted outdoor sockets installing. He gave me a price, made an appointment, turned up on time and was quick and efficient with the installation. Thank you 😊 Would definitely recommend. I mean who doesn't want a friendly and reliable electrician, who turns up on time and does a great job, at the price they quoted? 🤔

I was given Paul's details as a trusted contact from a friend. I was looking for an electrician to do some work for my Mum and Dad. A new consumer unit, outside light and rerouting a supply from an old shed to new outside plug sockets. Also Paul went over and above and disconnected an old shower light and removed an old shaver socket. Not only that he squoze a Joke and card trick in. I wasn't there to witness this, but good feedback from my Mum and Dad who were really pleased with the work...and the joke I think :). As my parents are both in their 80s, it's very reassuring to employ good people to do a good job. Thanks Paul.

Needed a reliable, professional and approachable electrician to complete a number of EICR checks, and was not disappointed. Prompt, with excellent communication and updates with any remedial works needed, along with reasonable pricing for the work. Will definately be using again.

June 2025: Paul recently rewired our old consumer unit plus all the garage wiring and installed outside lighting and security camera. As always, he was friendly, professional and extremely reliable. He took the time to explain everything clearly, turned up exactly when he said he would, and worked efficiently with great attention to detail. Everything was left clean and tidy, and the end result is exactly what we wanted. It’s a real relief to have a tradesperson you can trust. Highly recommended. 2024: Excellent service. We needed several sockets fitting to a bedroom along with wiring for a wall mounted TV. Paul helped us decide what would work best for us and managed to fit us in extremely quickly. Great communication, arrived when he said he would and did the work exactly as promised. Really friendly and professional. Will be asking him to do some more work for us soon. Highly recommended.

We had an emergency power loss, and through recommendations I phoned Paul very stressed. Honest, genuine electrician who explained everything and got our power on in no time. Trusted tradesmen are rare, so Paul is breath of fresh air. Couldn’t recommend highly enough

Paul came to fix the connection to our electric shower. He saw us the following day after I contacted him and he sorted it within an hour. Nice friendly chap who is very knowledgeable I would highly recommend.

Paul of ION fixed up the ceiling light. He was prompt, with great communication and did a lovely tidy job at a reasonable price. He's a friendly bloke and very reliable. I've had a few tradespeople who let me down or did a shabby job, so it's refreshing to find a professional electrician who you can trust. I'd recommend him to family and friends, and you can't say fairer than that!👍

Excellent service! Paul was extremely professional and knowledgeable, he was extremely understanding about my situation and made me feel at ease throughout the whole process! I will definitely always call Paul whenever there is a problem!

Definitely have Paul back again. He's a really nice person is workmanship is Superb. The price for the work he did was so so reasonable infacked I was surprised how much the job cost expecting a lot more. The eletrican we usually use said he will call when the weather gets better. He needed to say no more... I looked for another eletrican and found Paul. lon Electrix. Is reviews where fantastic 5 stars.. all verified reviews I needed the job doing ASAP. He came that day knowing I needed the work done ASAP. Paul now is our new eletrican.. Big Thankyou Paul..

Needed help with the electric going on and off constantly in the house. Called Paul and he came out - found the issue and sorted it promptly. Needed a new cooker and he came back and sorted that out for us the very next day. Great work and really friendly. Highly recommended!

Paul fitted in our kitchen spotlights, living room , bathroom and dining room lights. The wiring in our new house was awful and he was fantastic at sorting through the problem. He is professional and hardworking. We honestly can't thank him enough for everything that he did. 🙂

Contacted Paul for new lighting in the house. He supplied some high quality products and expertly installed them too. Previous cable work (from others before we bought the house) was not done very well but the problem was solved by Paul. We're very happy with the results as well as with the overall cost of parts and labour. Paul is a great, friendly tradesperson who has lots of experience/advice and his services were 10/10. We will definitely call again if and when we need him!

Paul did a great job repairing a socket wire I had put a screw through, he even managed to come down early due to a cancellation. He left the place really tidy even though he had to make a hole in the plasterboard to access the wires, and did it all for a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend 😊

Paul has done quite a lot of work in the sheltered housing scheme I live in. He was recommended to me via some of the residents. I needed a new cooker wiring in. I had been given 3 phone numbers for electricians. Out of 3 definitely he was best on price. He is personable, punctual and a quick and very tidy workman. He,s the tradesman you wish you would of known years ago. Instead of some of the chancers that claim there trades people. I will definitely use him again.

Rude and arrogant don’t waste time

Had work carried out at my house great job very good on price reliable and definitely have them back for more work to be done .

My electrics cut off when I fell and spilled some water and an extention that had a split wire. It made a big bang and my electric sockets all stopped working upstairs and down. He came on a Sunday struggled to repair it worked on it for over an hour had to fix a new electric socket. And the fee was very reasonable. All my sockets were repaired I was so grateful and I highly recommend him. I have recommend him to my friends and brother. He worked so hard to fix every thing I can't praise him enough

An absolute life-saver! Came out as soon as called. Friendly, professional and I can't recommend him enough!

Paul was thorough and professional Thanks

Excellent work and always kept us informed. Will be using Paul again.

Paul is probably the best tradesperson I've come across in years. The washing machine and both of the lights in the upstairs bedroom and bathroom weren't working which left me in quite a pickle, especially when needing to go to the bathroom at night. Paul came over and diagnosed the issues quite easily. Paul quite quickly fixed the washing machine by installing a switched fuse spur which gave power to the machine. The real problem were the lights. Paul explained the issue with the lights but access to the wiring was impossible as it required going through the loft which was completely sealed off with debris and inaccessible. He then came up with a solution by creating a connection with another unaffected light on the upstairs landing. He drilled through the walls and placed wiring in the ceiling, plastering back over the ceiling once done so as not to leave exposed cables. After doing an amazing job, he even brushed up all the debris in the bedroom and all the way down the stairs by hand with a dustpan and brush. I would recommend Paul to anyone who's got any electrical problems. He does a great job, gives a fair price and is a decent hardworking individual which is hard to come across these days.

We called Paul out on a sunday evening after i managed to blow my electrics. He was local as advertised ( not like others on google) arrived fast and set to work straight away. Didnt take him long to realise it was our main fuse on the incoming supply that had blown. He called the electric company for us, reported the issue and then left us once it was all set up that they were coming out go us. All round top service and he even called us the day after to make sure all was well and working. Defo recommend.

Paul was brilliant. He worked hard to isolate the issue that we had and explained everything as he was going along. We have two young children and he made sure we had electricity back up and running as quickly as possible.

We have used Paul on a number of occasions now - for indoor and outdoor lighting, outdoor socket installation and now appliance installation - and have to say we have nothing but praise for him. He is very responsive to requests, arrives on time and does a great job, cleanly and for a fair price! Even when the job isn’t as straight forward as anticipated. Today he came on a Sunday to fit our new oven, only to find the one we’d bought didn’t fit exactly like the old one. A bit of expert creativity meant that a short while later the oven is in and working and made our Sunday lunch. And he even offered to take the old one to the tip for us! A true old school gent of tradesmen! Thanks Paul!

Called today to investigate electrical failure resulting in no power or heating. Explained the problem and the fact I’m disabled and I rely on power for my equipment in relation to my disability. Even with atrocious weather, heavy snow, he arrived at my house within the hour. Following a quick fault finding survey he identified the problem and restored all power within half an hour. Clearly a well versed professional who knows what he’s doing around electrical installations. Very reasonable charge and came across as highly knowledgeable and trustworthy. A rarity with tradesmen these days. Cannot recommend enough!!!
