The installation team and post installation support have been exemplary. This is an excellent company with really top quality staff. Highly recommend.

Following a generous legacy donation, our church was able to commission a solar installation that now covers all our electricity costs through generation and Smart Export Guarantee income — a genuinely transformational outcome for us. The project wasn't without its challenges. Roof loading and windage calculations during installation revealed complications that put the whole scheme in doubt at times. Naked Solar worked closely with us throughout, exploring options until a robust solution was found — ultimately using oversized rails to meet all structural and wind loading requirements. That kind of persistence and problem-solving made a real difference. The array — 46 panels with a three-phase inverter — has performed exactly as predicted since going live in September 2025. Naked Solar held to their original quoted cost despite the additional engineering work involved, and the quality of that commitment showed just two months later when the roof was hit by Force 12 gales. Panels and roof came through without a mark. We'd have no hesitation recommending Naked Solar to any organisation taking on a project of this scale and complexity.

I started looking at Solar Panels early this year and was quickly inundated with salesmen. A couple came to visit and sat me down and tried to pressure me into signing that minute for a system and finance. It felt like double glazing salemen all thos years ago. I wanted to know what was behind the salesmen and got very unsatisfactory responses. So I looked up solar system providers in Cornwall and came across Naked Solar. I thought I'd just take a drive past and see what the outfit looked like. I drove into the Naked Solar car park and someone approached. I said I was just looking, but was invited in, shown around, seated, plied with coffee and Sean Lloyd explained what was available. There was no hard sell...... just a good overview of what was available, what would be suitable and how it could be financed. I took the information away in my head, and over the next couple of weeks Naked Solar came up with the design and introduced me, at my request, to Lendology, who agreed a finance package to cover the entire cost at a highly competitve interest rate. I'm 74 and the loan term is 10 years, so don't think it can't happen because you're too old. So we firmed up the contract and set dates for installation. On the appointed date the scaffolders arrived, and then, again on the appointed date the installation team arrived and did their work. Every member of the team was friendly, professional, and the work was neat and tidy, and Neil went through all the software so I was connected and could monitor the generation system. The scaffolders appeared on the appointed day to remove the scaffolding and a very nice touch was that a roofer also came to ensure that there was no damage to the roof. All in all this was a fantastic operation from beginning to end. I am delighted with the decision. As a side issue, I was advised that this wasn't worth it because it would take years to pay back the loan.......but I was paying £75 a month for electricity and £40 a week for petrol. I passed a garage and saw a used EV that I could afford. so now I am only paying the standing charge for electricity. I have fed in £50 worth of units to the grid in the five weeks I've had the system. I am saving £40 a week on petrol, and my loan repayments are £162. My savings are more than my loan repayments, so it totally vindicates my decision. In winter my panels won't be generating sufficient to charge my car, but I'm hoping that I will be able to charge my home battery from the grid at the ev tariff rate between 23:30 and 15:30 and so I should be paying 8p per unit for all my electricity. I have dealt with Naked Solar on two projects. One was to add a storage battery for my home installation and the other was a whole solar panels with storage project for a local theatre. In both cases communication was good, any issues were addressed and resolved and the pricing was reasonable for a quality product. I would recommend this form to anyone wanting solar energy.

This was a fairly complex project - five properties in total with two electricity meters. We had solar panels fitted with Naked Solar 8 years ago so I contacted them again for a second set of solar panels and 3 batteries. I also went out to a couple of other suppliers for quotes. Naked Solar were the only company who came back to me and were happy to deliver on such a complex job. It's been done so swiftly and efficiently. This was the second time that I have used Naked Solar. Morgan was my main contact and he was excellent. He was very responsive and proactive through the whole process. After a couple of disappointing experiences with other suppliers, it was refreshing to discover Naked Solar. From the first conversation with Joe, through to the survey, installation and follow-up, the service has been exceptional. They take care of every detail, and the installation team were punctual, tidy, and completed all the work to a high standard. Our system (20 panels and 18kWh Sigenstor battery storage) is already saving us a small fortune, and will save more once we get registered for grid supply. I can't recommend Naked Solar's accounts and installation teams enough, and would be delighted to provide them with a glowing reference at any time.

Good friendly service

I contacted Naked Solar because I was worried about the quality and safety of a solar and battery installation carried out at my home by a national company. I had decided to use this company ( ESE Solar ) because their quotes were good and their reviews on TrustPilot were largely positive in their early days. But there were problems from the very first day of installation. Naked Solar have now carried out an assessment of the old installation and have removed all aspects of it that were unsafe. They have now installed a high quality system that is working well. In a nutshell here is what was wrong with the installation by ESE Solar: 1. They advised placing the battery storage in the loft which is a fire risk 2. They used cheap Chinese batteries and inverter 3. They did a poor job of installing the solar panels- drilling through the frames to attach bird proof netting which could potentially have voided the warranty on the panels 4. They installed too many panels on one string which overloaded the inverter which had to be replaced within a month 5. They then joined some panels from the string which was too big to a string on a different aspect on the roof, placing Tigo Optimisers on all these panels. ( these optimisers I have now discovered were unnecessary) 6. Four of these optimisers burnt out soon after installation so that the power generated by that string was greatly reduced 7. They did return and replace the four failed optimisers but didn’t investigate why that had happened, so after a couple of weeks they burnt out again 8. When I informed them that the same problem had reoccurred they said there was nothing wrong and closed the case I had raised 9. It is impossible now to speak to ESE Solar about any technical issue. Customers can only raise a ticket online. ESE are very poor at responding. 10. The electrician did not place any of the required safety labelling on any of the equipment 11. The electrical work did not meet regulatory standards and the cable work was poor 12. The consumer unit was left with open circuits 13. ESE sub contracts to other companies to do the installation. This means the quality of installation can vary. When I asked why the original electrician couldn’t return to fix the problems I was told verbally that ESE no longer used him because his work was substandard! What a difference it has been dealing with a reputable local company! Right from early days of talking through the issues by phone and arranging a site visit through to the actual days of removing dangerous aspects of ESE’s work and doing a proper job of installation I have found every member of Naked Solar’s team to be friendly and professional. Even the scaffolders were nice people! I decided to keep my existing panels as they were still functional and fortunately the roof mounting system didn’t need replacing. The inverter and batteries were removed from the loft and I now have a Tesla Powerwall 3 which is sited externally. Job done. All I need now is some sunshine!

Naked Solar were great to deal with from start to finish. Jake took the time to understand what we were wanting to get out of battery storage and once we'd decided to go ahead the installation team were great. They didn't leave until they'd thoroughly explained the system to us so we understood how it all worked. A great experience all round.

Very impressed with the whole Naked Solar team. An extremely professional organisation from the face to face Teams discussions to the technical advisors on a pergola structure being created just to carry solar panels. Nobody was pushy or trying to steer us towards a specific product, they worked with us establishing a budget and advised on a range of ideas which would work for our individual project.

I had naked solar install 16 panels with solar skirt and 2 Tesla power wall 3 batteries. After install I asked about adding 4 more panels. They was more than happy to accommodate me and was installed really fast and work was done to a very high standard. I would recommend naked to anyone looking for solar install and battery installs very professional and kept me updated on everything that was happening.

You can't fault this company, nothing is too much trouble. Everything is explained thoroughly and whoever you deal with is polite and helpful. From everyone involved ,scaffolders/solar installers/electricians/office staff ,they are all so helpful and polite. They also tidy up each day. If we could we would give 10stars! We looked around at various companies before using naked and we are very happy we chose them. Very local to us which is obviously great. Price wise comparable to everyone else but the service levels from initial calls to information and installation were excellent. Everyone we spoke to or met at the house were polite, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and just generally seemed to care about what they were doing. Our roof provided some difficulties for them but they got it done, overcame problems and finished to a high standard. Thanks so much to you all.

We’ve just had our solar panels installed by Naked Solar and the whole experience has been excellent. From start to finish everything was handled so smoothly. The team were professional, friendly and clearly cared about the details — they even cleaned out our gutters while they were up there, which was such a thoughtful touch. The scaffolders were polite and respectful, and the installation itself was neat and tidy. The panels are already performing brilliantly and we’ve seen huge savings on our bills. It’s a great feeling to be generating so much of our own clean energy and to know the system is working exactly as promised. Naked Solar have been fantastic, and we’re more than happy to recommend them to anyone considering solar.

Naked Solar did a really professional job. They talked us through the options and helped us select the right equipment. The panels look sleek on the roof and they hid the wiring well. On sunny days we are completely self sufficient and our electricity bill is £0, plus we can sell our excess energy to the grid. Fantastic company from start to finish.

Naked Solar have just increased the capacity of my solar PV system to 25kW. The process was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end. Communication at all stages has been prompt and the can-do attitude of their admin and sparkies was so refreshing! My only regret is with myself - for not getting them to do the initial PV installation in the first place! In future, if I need ANY related work to be done, Naked Solar will be my first choice.

I was going to change my inverter as the one I had wasn’t compatible with an energy company I am with , after talking to Kieran all I had to do was buy a new Wi-Fi dongle and set it up ( yet to do) their advice has potential saved me in excess of £1000 , will definitely be going back for all my solar needs in the future, cannot speak highly enough of naked solar

Very pleased with my naked solar experience. Ollie was very helpful in the early stages of going through designs and pricing up several different quotes as well as being a helpful contact for updates throughout. Ben provided the design exactly as I wanted tailored to my needs. On the day of install the roofers Josh and Nathan were punctual and polite and happy to go about their work. Tom the electrician was also very polite and helpful going through the installation. I have no doubt that the install team took pride in their work. All the people I have dealt with during this process have been great and I would definitely recommend naked solar.

Very pleased with this professional company, from first contact to system commissioning my domestic solar installation went very smoothly, many thanks to the team at Naked Solar.

We chose Naked Solar to install our PV panels and battery on the day that we met the company as they impressed us so much. From the outset, Kristie worked with us and our designer Ben to work out the best package for us, including several redesigns so that we could compare the differences. We are heavily reliant on electricity in our home and have two EVs to charge so the right combination of PVs and battery was crucial. We never felt rushed, and questions were answered quickly during, and after, the design phase. All of this was managed exceptionally well by Kristie. The overall quality of workmanship by the installation team was exceptional. Great care was taken to install the system with the least damage/disruption at the house. The controls were installed in our utility room that had been recently decorated and how Rhys, our electrician on the install, managed to do the work without a single mark on the walls was remarkable. Similarly, the team of installers, Carlos, Zach and Harry managed to cause minimal disruption, even in the immediate aftermath of Storm Darragh, to carry out a fantastic job. Thank you all for your patience and respect shown to us throughout the planning and installation. We would be very happy to recommend, without reservation, Naked Solar and wish you great success in the future.

I cannot recommend Naked Solar enough. They are a great team of professionals, none of whom are pushy at any point in the process. I was on the fence with installing panels and a battery, had no idea about the pros and cons, options available etc. Over a period of months (yes I took quite a while to think on it!) Kieran & Jack handled every query of mine, educated me, projected different scenario outcomes for me. Eventually I landed on a package that I felt was right for me and my home, at which point the wheels were set in motion. The scaffolding went up, the scaffolders were punctual and efficient, then a few days later the installation took place. It took just less than 2 days for 10 panels and a battery to be fitted. It was working immediately and the guys showed me how to use the app to monitor and control the settings. I'm immensely pleased with the products and the standard of installation. If I have any constructive feedback it would simply be that there was some confusion over whether a trench would be needed between the house and the garage. From what the Naked Solar electrician said to me when he arrived, it would always have been needed - so a brief call between the head office and the electrician would most likely have solidified that sooner in the process for me. As I needed to dig the trench, it would have been ideal to know a bit sooner that it would definitely be needed. I am a big fan of this firm and would recommend them to anyone in the South West looking into Solar technologies.

Naked solar were great to deal with. Very personal response to all enquiries, and lots of details provided regarding the cost/benefit over time of the solar installation they proposed for us. I was impressed at how bespoke the assessment of solar potential for our property they provided was at the quote stage. Would highly recommend them.

From start to finish I have nothing but very high praise for Naked Solar. They are professional in every way. My installation was completed on time and within budget. After sales is superb, I can call them for help at any time and they will either come out or talk me through technicalities on the phone. Very patient and caring. Would highly recommend Naked Solar to anyone. I came back to NS this year to have a battery fitted - once again they were just excellent, Rhys who did the installation went above and beyond.

I expected a lot more from Naked Solar but was extremely disappointed by the whole process. At one stage the owner/boss was shouting at me down the phone. Whilst the installed system works, it underperforms and does not make best use of the installed panels capacity. The quality of the workmanship is also poor. In reply to the response from Naked Solar: 1. It was you Tony that shouted at me during a phone call. I have a diary note of the incident. 2. Please see the photo of my 8kW system (8kW of panels) flatlining at 6kW on a cold sunny day. I wonder how many kWh are being wasted and the linked reduction of CO2e not being achieved? 3. The RECC is an industry specific body paid for by its members subscriptions and therefore not independent. An offer was made by Naked Solar to replace the inverter but this was very swiftly withdrawn. When I requested the price for an inverter that would allow full utilisation of the panels you quoted a price significantly higher than I could obtain elsewhere. 4. I was never asked my view of the workmanship and no close out discussion took place. Despite my property being a no smoking zone your workers happily smoked on site and left their cigarette butts on my driveway. There was also a lot of debris/rubbish left behind. Please see the attached photos for examples of the workmanship. The vertical conduit is not straight, the fixings are poor quality, the routing and fixing of the flexible conduit is poor, there are unprotected cables, there are loose cable glands - there seems to be little pride in the work. These are only the aspects of the installation that are visible so I do wonder about the quality of the installation on the roof.

From consultation to installation, an outstanding professional service all round. Quality workmanship from the panel install to the final electrical commissioning. Recommended by my neighbour, I've been delighted with the responsiveness and quality of the design and installation. It doesn't just end at the installation - I had a query on the solar/immersion setup as we'd lost the boiler for hot water and was able to call and get an answer on a Saturday morning. Wunderbar! UPDATE FEB 2024 Now the VAT has FINALLY been removed by H(O)MG we pressed ahead with battery installation to complete our setup. Naked Solar were ready to go - faster than we were, but flexible with the timing - kit all installed and running really smoothly. No fuss, no bother, special thanks to the guys for such a great job....just as we received a notice from National Grid about a planned power outage. Phew!

System fitted in 3 days by superb and polite hardworking team. Now been working a week and working well generating energy in this not very good weather. Great to see the meter inactive and so far so saved enough during the day to use in the evening. Will get better as the light improves on longer days. I would recommend Naked Solar for a superb service prior to fitting during and follow up after completion

Had solar panels installed September this year. Great team that did the job and the electrician Reece was fantastic. Had to keep in touch with their office in the months before sorting out the best system and must give Kieran, who I mainly dealt with 5 stars. Whoever I dealt with on the phone was friendly and knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend this company.

We approached Naked Solar at a time when many companies were not responding to enquiries so were relieved when they got back to us and were able to provide us with our options for installing solar PV panels, with a battery and immersion diverter for our new build house in Wadebridge. My knowledge of solar etc. was very limited at that time, but Sam, who took the lead for our install, has been amazing throughout the whole process. The rest of the team who installed the equipment included Matt, Jack, Zach, Neil, Charlie & Rob. Nothing has been too much trouble for this team who have provided incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgable support and advice from start to finish. We are delighted with our solar panels and battery now that they are up and running and cannot praise the Naked Solar team enough for all that they have done, and the manner in which they have done it. Well done and thank you to you all, for providing the level of customer service that we all want, but seem to seldom receive these days, along with top class products that are aesthetically pleasing as well as being fit for purpose. Naked Solar provide a service to which others should aspire to achieve and we cannot recommend them highly enough - we would not hesitate to use them again.

Kieran Somerfield worked hard to understand our requirement and put together a suitable proposal. Unfortunately due to circumstances we have had to put the project on hold but will return to Naked Solar as soon as time is right.

The first thing that strikes you about Naked Solar when you begin researching solar installers in the far southwest is the exceptionally high quality of all their customer reviews, and this one’s going to be no different. They’re far from being the cheapest, though they’re competitive if you don’t opt for the higher end componentry that we did. They will patiently detail and specify a whole range of cost and spec options to allow you to refine the installation details for your particular needs. They design remotely using Google Earth imagery, but make a site visit once you’ve committed a small deposit, to confirm details and inspect the roof structure. I can’t speak highly enough of the installation process itself. The scaffolding subcontractors were really nice guys, and the guys (and girls) on Naked’s installation teams couldn’t have been pleasanter or more professional – unfailingly friendly, willing to explain, and respectful of our property, to the point that we missed them all when they left! It was a larger and not particularly straightforward install, but was completed in under three days by throwing three teams at the job for the first two days. Everything, from the slate work around our four recessed panels, to the external and internal cable routing, was completed to a very high standard by people who took an obvious pride in getting every detail right. Since then we’ve been delighted with the system’s performance, even during a wet November. Only two minor flies in the ointment of an otherwise perfect review – if you want recessed panels in an existing rather than a new roof that isn’t being re roofed at the time, they are very reluctant to commit their own roofers to the job (they did agree to in the end, and the guys did an outstanding job, as the photos show). The scaffolding hung around for a little longer than promised, but no doubt that’s just workload. If the after sales care proves to be as excellent as other customers say it is, we’ll be equally happy going forward. I would absolutely go with Naked another time – we used them ourselves following recommendation from friends – and can’t speak highly enough of their service so far.

Naked Solar are very professional and did an excellent installation. We had solar panels, battery, electric vehicle charger and hot water heater diverter installed. All work perfectly together and since installation so far we have not paid for any electricity from the grid. The jokes on 'fancy a cuppa solar tea' are beginning to get a bit thin however. The installation was smooth and hassle free. The entire team are very knowledgeable and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending using Naked Solar.

Extraordinary. Naked Solar (NS) did exactly what they promised, at the time they said they would they would do it and at the price they quoted (in fact, price reductions by the manufacturers were passed on to us). The installation is exceptionally neat and we were left confident regarding its use. Every person we dealt with was knowledgeable, helpful, positive and professional. Without exception, all employees were complimentary regarding working for NS; this is really refreshing and builds confidence. At the design stage the consultants recommend suitable options but you categorically get what you want, not what they want to provide. The information produced is exhaustive. Five stars just about covers things. I cannot fault the company.

Used this company for a small solar panel installation, they have also helped with the relocation of the solar inverter following the recent property upgrade, very communicative and helpful throughout the process with good pricing. Thanks very much! ------ Editing this review after 5 years... Still the same 5 star service! We first used Naked Solar in 2015 to install a small array of panels. Since then we had to have them out to move an inverter in 2018 and they have also visited again this August 2023 due to an inverter fault which required replacement. Despite the inverter not being under manufactures warranty, Jacob at Naked Solar kindly honoured what was mistakenly detailed on the original paperwork/invoice, despite us not knowing or checking this which is an extremely honest and kind gesture. The electrician they sent to replace the inverter was extremely kind and got the job down in no time at all and left everything in perfect order. I was also impressed as I was kept up to date on their planned arrival time and was made sure I was happy with everything before the electrician left site. Thanks very much Naked Solar - keep up the amazing work and I will certainly be continuing to recommending you to others!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Naked Solar to install solar panels on my home, and I cannot recommend them enough. The initial consultation was informative and transparent, and hey provided me with multiple options and helped me choose the best system for my needs. The installation process was smooth and efficient, and the team was always on time and respectful of my property (which was a big concern for me!). I cannot recommend them enough!

We had our Solar panel system installed by Naked Solar on a wet March day. They worked through the weather and did a very tidy job, we were producing power from the panels before they left. I contacted three local solar companies to change my current solar fixtures from a fixed to ballast system due to the roof being replaced. I phoned early April 2021 ask all the question about solar for my house and while i was on the phone Wil Wagstaffe had google earth my roof , a couple of days later he sent three quotes . I ask if we could adjust and put panels both sides of my roof, another quote later and i had decided 16 sunpower maxeon plus Tesla battery. So on the 15th June scaffold came , and the naked solar team had all the panels on the roof by 3pm, most of electrics done just had to finish some bits off on 16th June. I am only waiting now for the battery to be fitted and i knew at the time of booking it would follow later on in the year as they are in demand, but i am up and running and already seeing the rewards. First of all the Team are first class Quick , efficient Tidy nothing was to much for the three guys on the roof and they kept us informed . The Electric system was neat and tidy in my porch well done Tom, my neighbours could not believe how quick they had been. All in all if you are thinking about Solar Just ring the best in Cornwall well done Naked Solar

By that time we had dealt with builders, delivery companies, plumbers, electricians etc and this company was the best for customer information, exact timings and clarity in payment scedule. Our job was a small one but their application to our job was faultless.
