Reviews
4.5
Most reviewers report positive experiences with Ball & Lawton Ltd, including electrical work in a kitchen by Will and Mark, who were described as hard working and polite. Several reviewers mention work by Ollie, one calling him knowledgeable, and one describes a professional man who explained everything. One reviewer says an EV charger was installed with quick, tidy work at a fair price, and another reports an electric cooker fault fixed at short notice. One reviewer criticises the company after a van blocked their private driveway for over an hour, causing a missed medical appointment, and says two formal emails went unanswered; a separate reviewer says poor responses to messages and a missed assessment appointment meant they went elsewhere.
Title: Highly Unprofessional - Blocked Private Access & Zero Communication I am extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability from this company. On February 12th, a Ball & Lawton Ltd van (as shown in the attached image) parked across my private driveway while working at a neighbouring property. They ignored clear "Private Parking" signs and blocked my exit entirely for over an hour. This wasn't just an inconvenience; it caused me to miss a critical, time-sensitive medical appointment with serious long-term consequences for my health. There was ample street parking available, yet the driver chose to obstruct my vehicle instead. I have sent two formal emails to the company to resolve this, but they have completely ignored me. No apology, no explanation, and no acknowledgement of the disruption they caused. A company that refuses to communicate when their staff makes a major error lacks basic integrity. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
Ball and Lawton did a great job installing an EV charger for us. Quick and tidy work, and at a fair price. Couldn’t ask for more really.

Do all our commercial electrics - top service every time - cannot recommend highly enough
Excellent service, excellent prices. Couldn't have been any better, so happy. Normal service has been restored in our house!!
Rang me in response to my initial enquiry via their website. Poor response to subsequent messages though, and did not turn up when we finally managed to agree a date and time for the job to be assessed. Clearly didn't want the business so I went elsewhere. Consequently I cannot recommend this firm.
Excellent service and quality, tradesmen at their very best. If I need a trustworthy electrician again you can be sure it will be you I call. Thank you Len and Olly
