The guys at air cool islington suprised me today i needed last minute work done to keep me on the road at midday on a friday i found these guys called them and to my suprise was offered to come in straight away..... so i pulled up 20mins later was greeted before i reached the door by a very friendly mechanic long story short they did the work properly for a very affordable price very straight forward and clear guys i had a great expierience with this garage and will 100 percent be returning for future work Its all about first impresions and the team at aircool islington made a good one today thanks guys

Been using Aircool for years. Always excellent but particularly impressed that when our car wouldn’t start when due for an MOT they were able to come out, get it started, MOT, service and fix all in the same day.

Not going to go out of their way to keep your money in your pocket when there was a decent chance of you keeping your money but they chose to not disclose the full implications of a course of action and relieving you of your cash, and it is cash, they don't like cards for mots. I'm not implying any wrong doing, just saying they do like cash for mots.

I took my car for 4 wheel alignment and other issues with the suspension. Parts required has been ordered and fixed same day . Quick and brilliant service.

I came in after a bike hit my car door, and they quickly found a smart fix to get it opening and closing again straight away, which was hugely helpful. The repair itself was excellent — great attention to detail, reliable, and a really high-quality finish. They were also the most cost-effective of the quotes I received. Been using these guys as the recommended tyre fitters from black circles for years and had lots of tyres fitted well on multiple cars, but recently used them for an A/C re-gas and they were great and fitted me in at short notice and completed the work quickly. Worth noting they are near the entrance of a very busy estate so parking to drop car off can be tricky but easily negotiable with a bit of patience that many reviewers lack!

I brought my car in for several services. They changed the tires quickly, which I appreciated, but they slightly damaged my rims and didn’t clean off the grease they used — not very professional. They also did a full service check, yet a tire pressure warning light came on immediately afterward. That’s something that should have been caught and makes me question their attention to detail. They replaced the brake pads and discs, but after just 150 km, one of the discs is already scratched. On top of that, they replaced the spark plugs at 30,000 miles, even though the manufacturer recommends changing them at 75,000 — which feels unnecessary and makes me wonder if they just follow generic procedures without checking the specs. When I came to pick up my car, I found the staff sitting against the driver’s door with a can of Red Bull resting on the roof — not a great look. For the price they charge, I expected a much higher level of quality and professionalism.

My name is Lakshmi, I’m originally from Aus but bought a car here and been living in London for a few months. It was my first time having my MOT done here in London. I was a little hesitant. ~ Air Cooling Garage Islington were welcoming with their manner on the phone. ~ They were super easy to locate with lots of parking. In a good area, and there’s a nice cafe in the high street 1 minute walk whilst waiting. ~ ATM also on the high street which was handy. Ismet did a professional thorough check of my car. Ozzy was Lovely and accomodating. As a young woman new to London I would bring my car back here for MOTS and servicing in the future. I recommend this garage highly.

I've been taking my two car to Air Cool for MOTs, new tyres, repairs and servicing for more that 10 years. I live locally and and have found the owner and his staff to provide an excellent service every time. I've never had a problem. The prices are very competitive and I no longer search for alternative garages. Works are carried on the same day (I call through beforehand to ensure availability, drop off early morning and pick up later the same day). If there are any issues or potential delays due to parts etc, the owner always phones me to confirm if I want to proceed with the works. My family members also use Air Cool regularly!!

The service these guys give is top class. All work is completed quickly and professionally and at great value. They explain clearly what is needed and go that extra mile to ensure that the customer is happy. When I left there recently after having some work done on my Mercedes, I noticed that I needed a rear wiper blade. This was nothing to do wit the original work. It was replaced there and then at no cost as a sign of goodwill. Very, vey highly recommended

Got my MOT done here recently was a good experience, failed because of two tyres as they were quite bad but dealt with that efficiently. They found me some reasonable priced brand new tyres and promptly fitted and retested the vehicle. I was quite happy with the whole experience. On collection I was also given some money back as they said they manage to get a discount on the tyres so gave me back the difference which they could have easily pocketed. Trustworthy reliable and efficient. Ask for ozzy very nice guy.

Had a really good experience here. Used many garages but Air Cool was very knowledgeable and diagnosed the issues with my car. Because of that, I had my MOT done here and fixed outstanding issues as well. Incredibly reliable and offers good advice.

After a few misunderstandings that were resolved once discussed. Mot was successfully completed and car was roadworthy again. Price for certain jobs were on expensive side. Overall team was friendly, they went above and beyond to help me out, would visit them again. Whole team was very helpful.

Very good neighbours, and good team. They help us with oil refuelling and checking any damages with our cars. They often help our customers too. I can’t think of anything bad to say about them to be honest.

Avoid this place. Very inconsiderate - unprofessional and very rude. Prices are made up on the spot. If you want a dent in your wallet, go there. This is place is a scam - check previous one star reviews before going there - they find faults in the car which are non existent and then fail the MOT so you can spend money with them. What a scam. Absolutely no morals when it comes to trade, very dishonest. If I could give it NO STAR REVIEW I would!!

Got my tires changed here yesterday, and they also took care of my sensors. It’s a job that would’ve cost me time and money elsewhere, but Aircool handled it smoothly with no issues. Great work, lads—keep it up!

Had my Audi serviced here and was pleasantly surprised. The Audi dealership quoted me double the price, but I later discovered that aircool mot specialises in Volkswagen and Audi. They also replaced my key battery, which was a nice bonus saving me from all the hassles in the future. The garage was impressively clean, in other words spotless.

Have been based in South London for years but still take my Audi up to Aircool - best garage I’ve ever used. Great job on all servicing, MOT and repairs I need, and quick, honest and good value. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thanks to all the team.

I recently had the absolute worst experience at AircoolMOT Service Center, and I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment I walked in, the staff was rude, unprofessional, and completely uninterested in helping me. They barely acknowledged my presence and acted as if I was inconveniencing them by asking questions about my car’s service. The service itself was a disaster. They promised to have my car ready in a few hours, but it ended up taking two full days, and no one bothered to call and update me about the delay. When I finally got my car back, it was still having the same issue I brought it in for—except now there were additional problems that weren’t there before! To make matters worse, they overcharged me outrageously for the incomplete service and refused to explain the charges properly. When I asked for a breakdown of costs, the manager was condescending and dismissive. The waiting area was filthy, and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There was no seating available, and the restroom was out of order. I wouldn’t trust these people to fix a toy car, let alone handle anything important. Avoid AircoolMOT Service Center at all costs unless you want to waste your time, money, and sanity!

Fitted new tyres as a recommended fitter for black circles, badly damaged 3 out of 4 alloys. Need repairing. Air Cool refusing to respond to correspondence at the moment. I’d avoid tbh.

I moved to the area over 5 years ago, can be a little precious about my car (!) so researching garages, including speaking with locals, was a vital part of a relocation! Aircool came out on top. In that time, I've not needed to look elsewhere having been thoroughly impressed with their workmanship and straight-talking approach. Have always had quality work with honest rates, excellent communication and recommend them to anyone needing their car looked after.

Was directed to this garage by an AA man after my starter motor died. They’re good and reasonable! Odd name for a garage but don’t let that put you off.

Great honest reliable mechanics

Do not use this garage took car for m.o.t found couple non-existent faults failed me took it down the road 30 minutes later to another garage passed straight away no faults I mentioned the faults that aircool supposedly found and he said if the faults was there he wouldn't have passed me so how comes aircool found faults and failed me but the other garage passed me so don't trust this garage I don't normally write reviews but I feel if he can do this to me he can do it to anyone do yourself a favour and steer clear.

Main guy at office extremely RUDE. Then, he provided a very expensive quote (he misdiagnosed the problem then refused to elaborate). Shop was completely empty so not sure why he was so impatient. Went to a nearby mechanic not 5 mins away, way friendlier service and actual cost of repair is 1/10th of quote price I got here. Highly recommend checking them out instead.

I like this guys, they are so profesional... i take my Q7 to Air cool to clean the drain they get done so patiently profenaly and i want to collect i sow that inside the amplifier steel wet i brought the car again the man did not even flinch, i says don't worry we will take care of it he open the every single possible area to check water leak again. And he did not charge me for it. when i ask him he sed you good don' worry. i use to take my car to Crouch End motor Continental but every time i collect the car i have new problem. Never again. Took my 911 in there for MOT (same day) took it in at very short notice, in and done in an hour. All passed and no issues, polite professional, experienced and a pleasure to deal with. If you live in North London and you want an honest garage, worth it.

I have been using air cool for a long time , and honestly one of best garage in the area , prices are very fair and I recommend every single friend and family to use air cool, workmanship is top of the game , had an electrical issue with my car and it went to 3 different garages for investigation they charged me 2 hours labour for investigation and did not get it sorted. Air cool sorted it within 2hrs from finding the issue to repairing it, ever since then air cool is the only place I take my car I trust them. Great service. They efficiently replaced an engine component for me, which failed a week later due to the part being faulty. They replaced the part right away and didn't charge me a penny - even though it was not their fault. How Air Cool is that! Steve

Strongly advise against going to get your vehicle Mot’d at this garage… found several non existent major errors. Had to pay for a second test elsewhere. Quote to fix was close to double my regular mechanic too.

When my Audi A3 2014 had gearbox issue, Özgur and his team fixed it as they promised on the phone. VW DSG transmitters always have same faults, but thanks Air Cool Islington, everything is fixed now. Also car’s 35K mile regular check has been completed in there. No more Audi official services lies and expensive costs.

Very polite and helpful staff. I got my Astra J serviced and MOT’d, communication was easy and a very reasonable price, they sorted out a water leak in the car that was picked up during service. Much better then main dealer and much more cost effective. Thank you so much, I will definitely be returning next year and for anything needed in the future. I have had an exhaust change, wheel alignment, brake fluid changes and coolant changes on cars that I would take to main dealers normally. Operated out of a tidy and modern workshop. My husband dis not have a good experience when having the tyres on my car changed today. Manager was facetiming someone when he arrived and didn't even acknowledge him. After ordering 4 tyres only 3 were fitted. The company say the bolt on one tyre was already warn down and they couldn't get it off. This was not the case. So they refused to fit the fourth tyre and shoved it in my boot which I have no space for as I have 3 children! So now we have only 3 tyres fitted and a fourth they've messed up. Black circle who we booked through have refunded the cost of the tyre by means of an apology but it doesn't make a difference as we still have a tyre we can't fit!

I went to AirCool last week to get my air conditioning topped up, given the mini heatwave we were about to experience. They filled it up as my car had lost all of the refrigerant and it was super cold for a day. What I didn't know was that there was a leak somewhere in the system. I took the car back to AirCool who checked it over and told me that there could be a couple sources for the leak. We discussed the various options and I am yet to decide what to go with. The main thing I wanted to say was not only did they do an initial good job and give excellent follow-up advice, but they also refunded me the cost of the regassing. Needless to say, I highly recommend AirCool. Good mechanics and nice guys.

WE WERE USING A DIFFERENT VAN FOR WORK PURPOSES. WE HAVE ONLY RECENTLY GOT IT BACK, SO THIS IS WHY THE REVIEW IS GOING ON NOW AS I DONT ACCUSE BEFORE I HAVE FACTS. AS WE HAVE THIS NOW THIS REVIEW IS TOTALLY ACCEPTABLE AS NO WORK HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT. IT HAS BEEN PROVEN BY A INDEPENDANT INSPECTOR. WE HAVE THE PROOF AND LOTS OF IT!!! WE WERE WILLING AND GAVE YOU THE OPTION TO SORT THIS OUT AMICABLY, BUT AS YOU DONT WANT TO DISCUSS THIS LIKE A DECENT HUMAN BEING, IT WILL BE DEALT WITH THE LEGAL WAY. SEE YOU IN COURT!!!!!

Went there for a new tyre very good service and very quick no waiting stright in and out will be going back again i am very happy with the service unlike the last place i went to for a tyre air cool looked after me and didnt damage my wheels thanks guys 👍

Got my second hand Wv bora and visited 4 garage they did not solve my engine light problem ,it was keep flashing on dash board been told by every garage that there are some problems that they can not find it ,Aircool sort it out and never happened again Thank you for Aircool’s help and effort ; Very clean and professional job they are doing in there also clean and tidy there is no tools or greese around. Every time I go to Aircool I am met with knowledgeable and polite staff who go the distance in helping me with my car care. I would not hesitate to recommend them as it's hard to find a mechanic that is reliable and who you can trust.

This is my local garage and I always go here whenever my car needs looking at. The staff are always friendly and polite and always explain everything that needs doing. The garage is also very clean if you need to wait for the work. A big plus of using this garage is that they offer a collection and delivery service. When they dropped my car off after a service my car was returned completely spotless after a complementary wash. Very happy with the service and would recommend.

Very Poor Customer Service I've been here twice and both times I have had a very poor experience. Even if you have an appointment the staff are incredibly rude and act like you are an irritation in their busy day. I thought the first time might have been a one-off but this seems to be standard. Don't expect any niceties or kindness from them - I asked if they could swap the wheels with my new tyres to the front, as recommended on front wheel drive cars. I was told "Yes if you pay me more". It would have taken them all of a minute with their power tool and the car already in the air. They get stars because they seem to fit the tyres OK, but only two because it really isn't a pleasant experience.

do not go to this garage to do MOT they fail you with very tiny things and they charge you more money let you pass Do not be cheated by them

Changed my tyres here. I pulled into the facility and was greeted in a very rude manor, as I was told that I should have been parked elsewhere. It's an industrial site and nothing signposted as to where customers should park or wait with their vehicle. The person speaking continued to ramble on and to be honest was unnecessary and if my tyres had not be paid for and my tyres weren't in such bad condition I would have just asked for a refund and moved on. To add further in convenience and annoyance to myself I politely asked if I could use the toilet area to change my sons nappy in which he declined and said he couldn't do so. I do not see what he couldn't do? Would recommend looking elsewhere especially if you're looking for a better customer experience.

I took my car in for some bodywork, and to get my tyres checked. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They gave me a complete run down of what they would do, how much it would cost and how long it would take. They then completed all the work, ahead of schedule, and even delivered my car back to me, as I didn't have the time to pick it up myself. They went above and beyond, and the car looks as feels as good as new. Will definitely come back to them if I need help in the future. Highly recommended!

Honest mechanics are hard to find, and these guys run a tight ship. The workshop is spotless, and Martin is a great guy to deal with.

Fixed my tyre for 12 quid didn't try and up-sell me very friendly and professional.
