Witt Electrical Services

Excellent all round!

Damon came and replaced the consumer unit on a property I had recently purchased along with sorting out a few other pieces of questionable DIY from the previous owner. Damon was very professional, quick to communicate and thorough. He also explained things clearly when faults were found and advised next steps without being pushy for extra work. All in all a great first experience.

I would definitely recommend Witt Electrical Services on the basis of the quality of the work done, great communication, reliable and professional estimates/invoicing. Damon is our first choice when it comes to electrics; his latest work involved the installation of driveway lights which we’re really happy with.

Did two jobs for me. Fault finding and repair, did an excellent job and went through everything with me he also did the job at a lower price than the previous electrician who ghosted me quoted. So happily gave him the job of hard wiring my new hob and adding a new socket for my oven. Again couldn't fault his work or price and bless him he kept the appointment despite being unwell as he didn't want to leave without a working oven/hob. In summery a great guy who knows what he's doing, charges a reasonable price and actually cares about his job and clients. Happily recommend to anyone looking for an electrician and will certainly be my first call if I need an electrician in the future.

Excellent from first contact to completed work! Very quick, friendly, and helpful to reply. Understood our custom request and found the perfect solution. Very satisfied and highly recommend!

Prompt response and excellent service not withstanding the bad winter and hazardous driving conditions the appointment was kept. Thank you. Vijay Anand Kumar.

Damon did a great job installing an EV charger for us. Will definitely be calling again!

Damon replaced the switch on our shower. He did a great job, was very tidy and we would highly recommend him.

Fitted our light fittings well despite the job being a little tricky. He made sure he kept us informed at all stages of the work and gave additional advice on other aspects of the work. We are really pleased.

Damon connected my shed annex to the house consumer unit and I was impressed by his punctuality and professionalism. The thick sheathed cable of around 30m was layed in a pre-dug trench and I was astounded at how accurately he'd estimated the length needed allowing for all the bends around the house consumer unit. The shed annex us now festooned with multiple circuits that allow future adaptability. He communicated with me throughout the job and is always friendly. Very competent, likeable and honest. Best wishes for a good business.

Exemplary work from Damon as always. Highly recommended

Damon did a brilliant job installing outdoor lighting for us. He works to a very high standard, his communication is excellent - talking through the job and helping us to make the right choices for the setting - and he was diligent, thorough and accommodating throughout. We would be very happy to work with him again in future.

We have been using Damon for many years to sort out the electrics in our 5 rental properties. Clean and tidy jobs and turns up on time. Always gives an accurate estimate, so nasty surprises when you get the invoice.

Damon is simply the best. He has replaced sockets and light switches and fitted new kitchen lights in my home. He's responsive, turns up on time, and is so polite and engaging (and ridiculously tidy). More importantly, he is seriously good at what he does, and I recommend him to all my friends and to all reading this.

Damon, is responsive to messages and works efficiently whether it’s large or small scale projects. Recommend his services.

Very quickly changed my light fitting to a new one. Will use again. Thank you

Damon upgraded my consumer unit, identified why a circuit breaker was repeatedly tripping, found an unsafe, earthing problem and found and fixed the break in the circuit - all in a day's work. He is polite, takes pride in his work and leaves the working area clean and tidy. He takes time to listen to the history of electrical problems and gives explanations of the causes and solutions that can be understood by those of us without electrical expertise. I will be using him for electric work in the future and have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

Damon took on some challenging tasks and did a great job. He's highly competent, but also a great communicator which helps a ton. Will be using his services again.

Damon was quick with replies and provided an efficient, professional service. Changed my broken extractor fan. Thank you!

Damon installed our new induction hob and had to rework our electrics as we'd previously had a gas hob. He provided expert advice via text on our slightly complex situation, came to my home to provide a free quote, and was very accommodating when we had to reschedule installation due to manufacturing delays with our worktops. His work was quick, clean, and effective - 10/10 would recommend!

Damon was the most professional and polite tradesman that I've dealt with in many years. Nothing was too much trouble for him. I would highly recommend.

Thanks Damon for your honest and thorough work fixing a tricky project after a previous electrician let us down. The level of understanding and attention to fine detail has been much appreciated and all at a fair price too. Will be more than happy to use you again.

Double socket installed by Damon, such a warm and friendly lad, which is lovely as I live alone and I’m not too keen to have strangers come into my home. Witt electrical was recommended by a neighbour and I wasn’t disappointed. I will be getting him to do all my electrical work from now on. Already got a price for some outdoor jobs and will have him round to carry them out soon.

Damon is knowledgeable, professional and thorough. I am extremely pleased with the work he has carried out in my home and I'm very happy to recommend his company.

Excellent service with installing new pendants, will be using again.

I originally hired Damon Witt to take a power cable to a workshop. This also meant changing the fuse box to a larger one. Damon did a great job, but suddenly the kitchen appliances started tripping the fuse. After some investigation it turned out that another electrician, who did some major rewiring some 10-11 years ago, had simply added extra sockets and a higher amp fuse, instead of also making sure the circuit can support the extra load. It sure explained the random burning smell we've been getting over the years. Thanks to Damon, this has now been sorted out, he was very careful to affect as little of the ceiling and walls, as possible, when he was adding an extra circuit, and we've been trip-free and smell-free for a few weeks since. I can't help thinking that we probably owe him our life.

Damon was quick with responding and managed to come out earlier than expected. He was professional and polite. Fitted a new bathroom fan.

As a very recent Witt customer, I was very pleased with the service that I received from Witt Electrical Services. I own a Jamaican restaurant in Ely (Dutchie & Grill) and I can't tell you how happy I am with the service that I received from Damon, who installed my dimmer lights for the main restaurant customer seating area. Not only did he come with prompt service, and friendly demeanour, and amazing customer repour, he recommended, bought, and brought me the correct lights and installed them in no time at all. I haven't had a problem with them ever since. I can't tell you how nice it is to be able to control the brightness of my customers seating area! I have been able to have disco nights in the restaurant and have received rave reviews from my customers about it. As one small business to another having great quality work like that is very appreciated! My building is old and I haven't had the best electrical work done in the past so finally having a business that provided me with a wonderful electrician like Damon and great service really meant a lot. Keep up the good work!

I've called Damon out on 3 or 4 occasions so far - once for a simple job to replace an external wall socket, and the other times for more difficult-to-diagnose issues. He comes when he says he will, and is tidy and polite, and above all an excellent problem solver who will really listen and use the information you give to diagnose and fix the problem. Highly recommended for both his approach and his skills.

Damon was very responsive and professional throughout, despite being very busy he came out to us to quote for the job the following day and was even kind enough to re-position a light holder that had come out of place. The quote was good value versus the other two we had and he turned up on the agreed date to replace the downlights in the Kitchen and Bathroom along with a couple of other minor lighting jobs we needed doing. Whilst on site he kept things clean and tidy, was polite and courteous, and was done within a couple of hours. Everything was completed as agreed in the quote and this 5 star review reflects the scope of work. Well, the problem which I had was trivial (it took Damon about 6 min to solve it) so it didn't really "test" his abilities as electrician, nevertheless the job was done and that counts.
