We had a fantastic experience with Bristol Solar. John and his team were organised, professional and provided a very competitive price. They were a delight to have around and completed the solar installation quickly and cleanly. John took us thru all the technical stuff and was very helpful with aftercare. I’ve already recommended to friends and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again!
John picked up a job where I had had to part ways with a previous electrician. Communication was good, and i was kept in the loop about when and what work was completed. Despite the job being further complicated by the discovery of asbestos the work was managed to both parties agreement. I would highly recommend John and the Bristol solar team.

Great service from John, solved the issues with our 11 year old solar system, installed bird guards to keep out the pesky pigeons and sorted some issues with our chimney and gutter at the same time. I would recommend Bristol solar and roofing.
Excellent service from Bristol Solar. They came out immediately due to a dislodged tile, re fixed and pointed it whilst the rain was pelting down. The team from Bristol Solar were absolutely brilliant. The are a nice group of guys who did an excellent job. They removed all of the solar panels, stored them safely and the removed all roof tiles. Replaced the felt, added the new tiles and put the panels back. They were on time every day, the cleared up after themselves. I would highly recommend. So pleased with the end results.
John Ryan and team did an excellent job on my roof and solar installation. They are the only team in Bristol who offer roofing in conjunction with solar. They are knowledgeable about both roofing and solar and took into consideration some of my other requests. They were amazingly responsive in communication, pre and post installation. They completed the installation on time despite the weather and are very competitive on price.
Wow!! What a wonderful service we received from John, we had an issue with our Solar inverter, although John hadn't installed our system, we were unable to contact them, he came out, had a look and went direct to the manufacturer on our behalf, to cut a long story short, John actually resulted in finding another number for us to contact the original supplier who came out to correct the installation error, glad that John had supplied us with a written report with the issues, its all sorted, but John didn't stop there he followed up with us to ensure the job had been done and also contacted the manufacturer on our behalf to ensure that the system was working. John went above and beyond our expectations and wouldnt hesitate in recommending his services.
I foolishly put new panels on an old roof a few years back. When it became clear our roof needed replacing I was worried about the extra cost and complexity. John was very reassuring about the process, including the disconnection and safe storage of the panels whilst the roof was replaced. Super impressed with their communication, care and perfectionism in the work. The roof looks great, the cost was cheaper than other quotes and the solar is working better than before.

I have years of experience in employing the services of construction trades professionals. On one occasion I needed help to rectify an urgent problem with a roof which had the added complication of solar PV. After a dozen or so abortive calls, I spoke to John from Bristol solar and roofing, who I think was on his way home from work. He said he could get to us in about an hour. I explained that it would need scaffolding. No problem. Their scaffolding associates turned up in about 40 minutes and by the time John and Jamie arrived the scaffold was up. They set to work making the roof safe and weatherproof. I have used many solar installers over the years but none measure up to Bristol solar and roofing Ltd. S Harris.

These guys are really knowledgeable and helpful. We already had a system but it was quite old, so we upgraded to a new set of panel, new inverter and a battery. They adjusted their estimate as they reused the mounting rail excetera. Couldn’t be happier, the new system is working flawlessly and we are importing very little power from the grid and are exporting a lot more.They have also completed other electrical work for us at a very good price
Really excellent all round. Our inverter had stopped working and we'd had all sorts of trouble getting the company that installed our system to come out and have a look. So we contacted Bristol Solar based on their other reviews and couldn't be happier with the service. John was responsive, fast and friendly. He dealt with the warranty claim, ordered and fitted the new inverter, all with minimum fuss. Thoroughly recommended, and we'll definitely use Bristol Solar again if our system needs attention.
I shopped around and got some quotes to fit additional PV to my garage (I already have some on the house) plus an EV charger. This is a slightly unusual setup and some companies weren’t interested in doing anything even quoting. Of those that were, John from Bristol Solar was the most helpful, quickly understood what was needed, and came in at a good price. Everything was fitted quickly, and he went above and beyond, even having a look at a problem with the existing solar installation he didn’t fit. If I need any more solar or roof work done I’ll definitely be giving Bristol Solar a call!
First class service from John and his team. From quote to final fitting of the 10 Solar panels. They were professional, friendly, took care in cleaning up and were always on time. Everything was explained and when unforeseen issues arose, John was always clearly communicating the next steps. The re-roofing was a top job and even the smallest detail was not missed by them. I can’t praise them enough and have already recommended them. The whole project was well managed and the price was very reasonable. They all had pride in their work and it really showed in the final product - Dave Skelton.

Used Bristol Solar to install 3.4kw solar with hybrid inverter. Bristol Solar are a great company from initial quote to install. They were quick to come back with a full and detailed quote and we're very helpful in working through options, no sales people or third party installers, just straightforward and direct contact with the team doing the work. Installation was quick and to a very high standard including bird guard within the standard quote. Friendly and trustworthy company, great work at a good price. Couldn't be happier.
John and Jamie were very helpful and efficient with the service they provided. We were having problems with water coming through the roof. During this time my husband had a fall and broke his wrist they went above and beyond making sure everything was done smoothly and quickly. Thankyou
