Installed my EV Charger. Prompt response to initial enquiry, came out to look in person, made recommendations based on what I needed and what they found. Quick response, neat installation and caused as little disruption as they could during works. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

I was having issues with my existing EV tethered charger at home and contacted Gary for advice. He managed to pop round at short notice, and checked my existing setup over. Rather than trying to upsell me another brand new system, Gary was able to offer me a practical remedy (tethered cable replacement) and fitted it the following day. He then carried out a full set of electrical tests on the EV charger, to ensure that it was working perfectly. A prompt, professional and efficient service received from Gary. Many thanks again.

Gary and his team installed a fairly large domestic solar system at our property, including batteries and a gateway to cope with power cuts etc !! The install was done during the winter and they worked in all weathers to get the job done. Gary kept us updated throughout and sorted the relevant paperwork with the power company. After months of promises from Ford and Octopus to fit a home charger for my new E Transit i finally gave up and called Gary. He came same day to do the survey and fitted the charger the next day. Really neat job. Would highly recomend.

We first used Steel Electrical last Autumn to fit a Hive thermostat. Gary (the business owner) and my husband started talking about solar energy and the rest, as they say, is history! The process started with a home survey and the subsequent report and quotation was very comprehensive. As we were having quite a substantial array, we did have to get approval from Northern Power, but Gary submitted all the paperwork on our behalf. The panels, the battery and associated gubbins were installed this week. Gary and his colleague, Dean, were punctual, professional and very polite at all times. They were respectful of our property and tidied up after themselves at the end of each day. Once the system was commissioned, Gary explained how to use the app that monitors the energy generated and stored in the battery. We have been very impressed with the service we have received from Gary and would have no hesitation in recommending Steel Electrical.

Would highly recommend Steel Electrical Gary and Dean have recently completed electrical works at my home, including rewiring, new switches and sockets, and installing new light fittings. Gary and Dean kept me updated with everything, always polite and just got on with the job. The work looks really neat, paying attention to detail and made sure everything was tidy afterwards. When a light stopped working and appeared faulty I carried out the obvious check with no success, so I disconnected and taped up the cable ends safely. I then found that two other lights had stopped working. I needed help so I rang Gary. He answered immediately and arranged to call the following morning. On arrival he instantaneously realised what the problem was and explained in a clear and concise manner, in doing so demonstrated his skill and knowledge. He then rectified the problem efficiently, effectively and quickly. I have no hesitation not only in recommending him, but will certainly call on him again when I need any further electrical work.

What a guy, On a Sunday morning our electric went off, nothing to do with credit as was plenty on the meter, we had lights operating but no other electric, great bit of advice to save a call out was to flip RCD switch back if it was facing down which it was so flipped it back up to the top and boom electric back on. What a lifesaver 5+ star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Gary has done a phenomenal job. We are renovating a house and it needed a full rewire and new consumer unit. Our first sparkie let us down badly, Gary stepped up and I am so glad he did. Professional, knowledgeable, timely, worked cleanly, quickly and gave us so much advice. Not many electricians like to take over a part done job, but it was water off a ducks back for Gary (he might not feel the same). Still, I am more than happy to recommend him to anyone. I would like to say I found him myself, but no, the kitchen fitter recommended him. Reputation is everything and it precedes Mr Steel.

I'd love to say I found this company all by myself but they were introduced to us by a brilliant kitchen fitter who was installing a new kitchen for us. I have to say from our first meeting with Gary he came across as professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He listened carefully to our requirements and offered sound advice and sensible solutions. He worked quickly and efficiently whist maintaining the highest quality workmanship using top quality materials. Needless to say we were delighted with the end result and have absolutely no reservations in recommending him.

We discovered that we needed to work on our electrics once we started replacing the bathroom. Gary was able to resolve the issues and add a couple of extras without quickly and at a reasonable price.
