Visited the shop in Hoylake for a breaker the young lad behind the counter said they didn’t have any new ones and suggested a second hand one , and said I’ll do it for a couple off pounds so I said yeah let’s have a look at them , he went behind found one and said the boss told me 5 pound for it so I just paid for it and left . Soon as I left I looked on screw fix and the price for new one was 3.99 so decided to take it bk the lad said yeah and done refund on the machine, but I have yet to receive this money. I called the owner 2 weeks later to let him know this he very angry about it and said the bank takes a long time and he’s been in the business a long time and the breakers are not 3.99 . Well mate go to screw fix cos they are . I don’t care I just my money paid . Bk to me . He probably out off spite cos I just his feelings decided not to refund me the money. I will report him for theft because that’s what it is . Pay my money

Took a table lamp in on the off chance it could be repaired as I have a pair of them. It was broken before lockdown. Gentleman very helpful and friendly, lovely shop full of new electricals and parts. They are going to repair the lamp, I am delighted, will take about 2 weeks to repair. Inexpensive too.

We have used Island Electrical , (Again) recently for a full re wire, cctv and external lighting. All works were carried out on time and to budget and the quality passed expectations. We highly recomend this local company.

Having received a telephone call from my sister yesterday to say that she had no heating, and being unable to help, I telephoned Island Electrical. Within half an hour of making that phone call, and although the shop was closed, they had been to the shop, picked up an oil filled radiator and fan heater and delivered them. Absolutely brilliant service and proves that you should always try and shop local. Well done and thank you very much

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Went in to see what new light fittings we should have. There was a great choice, and they are fitting the new lights next week, as well as some sockets with USB chargers on them. This shop, and it’s staff are a good reason to, and advert for, supporting shopping locally.

I know for a fact that the owner of this shop personally delivered products all over the area during lockdown 1, above and beyond for the local community. Island Electrical sits on a site where there's been an electrical shop for more than 100 years - now more than ever they need our help, and our community needs to pay back those local retailers that have looked after us for decades. Whether it's batteries, Roberts radios, a vacuum cleaner, kettle, toaster, light bulbs or electrical conduit this store is a fabulous local resource in Hoylake and deserves our patronage... Superb experience, initially I went into the shop and received the help I needed in order to ensure what I was buying was the correct product. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall excellent customer service.

Helpful staff in a small but well-stocked shop. I've not had need for their elctrical services so cannot comment.

I contacted islands electrical shop in hoylake by telephone on a tuesday morning to ask them if they could sort out my outdoor switch light as it wasn't working the gentleman said on the telephone I'll sent one of my colleagues out to assess the job two days time which was the next day. The electrician co/owner came to my house assessed the outdoor switch light and said no problem I'll send one of my electricians out Thursday or Friday morning to do the job but never showed up not even a telephone call to explain why they never bothered terrible service wouldn't recommend this company.
