All Power & Lighting Electrical LTD T/A APL Electrical

We always rely on the excellent service for all of our electrical needs with APL Electrical. Paul is always reliably punctual, highly knowledgable, impeccably clean and offers a top rate service. We have used APL for numerous jobs over the last 5 years, with a five star rating every time.

I would highly recommend APL Electrical if you are looking for a trustworthy, polite, friendly and highly professional team. Paul and his colleague Michael each have over 30+ years experience and completed a range of jobs including a new power supply and lighting to the garden with innovative wireless switch; new outside porch light; a replacement led strip light for the garage; wiring for outside security light; investigation into water ingress and tripping of outside lighting; re-wiring of 2-way lighting switches in the house and; installation of a new extractor fan. Not only did they complete the work brilliantly but they also offered advice on work previously carried out and the need for addition RCD protection on the consumer unit. 10/10

Paul and Michael are a professional, good natured, and competent team who worked hard to complete our garden and pond electrical project on time and to budget in not the easiest of circumstances. We would employ them again, any day!

Done a beautiful job replacing our ceiling lights with fans and lights ready for the next heat wave and they supplied the fans and removed the old fittings and all for a very reasonable price and I can thoroughly recommend them especially as they had previously replaced all our halogen down lighters with led, all 41 of them and cleaned up well behind them and again a very reasonable price

Paul fitted our garden with lighting and power points. He had some good suggestions for placement. All work fitted to a high standard and good clean up. Very nice company to work with.

We’ve used this company for many years. Paul and Michael are always very helpful and professional. Work is always done to an exceptionally high standard. We have used them for everything from internal to external work including our electric car charging port, Excellent all round! Thank you!

5-Star Review for APL Electrical I recently had some electrical work carried out by APL Electrical, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. From the very start, communication was clear, professional, and friendly. Michael arrived on time, worked efficiently, and completed the job to a very high standard. He was respectful of my home, left everything tidy, and explained all the work he’d done in a way that was easy to understand. It's rare to find tradespeople who combine technical expertise with such great customer service. I would highly recommend APL Electrical to anyone in need of reliable and high-quality electrical work. Thank you again, Michael — I’ll definitely be using your services in the future!

Paul is the only person we go to for electrical work. Quality work, on budget and nothing ever seems to phase him. He’s wired in kilns, done lighting and sockets in the garage, rewired our kitchen during a refit, and upgraded a consumer unit. Have recommended him to several friends who have also had superb service.

Mike from APL Electrical turned up on time as usual , set about the work of changing 12 uplighters in our two rooms for hire to LED and fitted covers on them. He had cleaned up and cleared out by 1530 before our hirers came in . Thanks APL

I have been using APL Electrical since 2018 since they were recommended for garden lighting and installation of a water feature, since then I have used them numerous times for all our domestic electrical requirements. I have always found Paul to be very reliable, knowledgeable and professional, his work is completed to an excellent standard, he is very courteous, considerate and very tidy. I can safely say that he's one of the few tradesmen that we know who will provide a consistently good service with the minimum amount of disruption and for a reasonable cost. Highly recommended.

APL have been our electricians for the past 20 years and have done all our electrical works from rewriting on moving in to garden lighting etc, etc. We never seek alternative quotes as they are courteous and considerate and very professional in their administration and workmanship.

Paul, Michael and his team are the BEST electricians we have ever worked with. The quality of the work they have done is exceptional and they were an absolute delight to work with. Our garden lighting looks amazing.

Michael is an excellent electrician - arrives on time, sends really clear communications, does his work to a high standard and cleans up afterwards! Michael gives good advice and doesn't overcharge - on his advice I asked him to install one less switch than originally requested, so when he found a broken socket, he replaced it within his quote. Very happy with the work and Michael is very pleasant to deal with.

Paul is my go to electrician. He always goes above and beyond and does a fantastic job. When I moved into my new build home there were lots of bits that needed sorting. He added extra spotlights, extra sockets, changed light switches. All to an extremely high standard. He installed all my ring cameras, doorbell, 3 outside cameras and 1 inside and also installed flood lights and PIRs outside and in my garage. Everything was done perfectly. Paul is extremely trust worthy and had the key to my house so that he could get on when I wasn’t there. Paul will always be my electrician!

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Punctual and professional, kept the workspace tidy, and explained everything clearly. Highly recommend for quality service!

Appointed APL electrical services to carry out a full rewire of our kitchen, downlighters in the lounge, few other tasks along with a new consumer unit and full building test. All works carried out to an extremely high level, Paul could not be more helpful with ideas and suggestions that not only saved money but were of a better idea and ultimately proved the correct choice. Would I use APL again? Of course without question!

Can't recommend Paul at APL highly enough. Carried out a full unit rewire for us. 100% reliable and did exactly what they said they would do. 10/10 service. Will no longer use anybody else

We were extremely satisfied with the thorough lighting and pond installation job that Paul and Michael did as part of our recent garden redesign. They were punctual, professional and tidy, and explained everything that had been done. Would definitely use them again for any future electrical needs.

Paul and Michael carried out a full rewire of our extended 3-bed semi, including a new consumer unit (“fuse box”). The house is 60 years old and has had a couple of extensions, so it was not straightforward. We wanted new downlighting and several new outlets installed, including outdoor lights and outlets. We were very happy with the result. They kept to the agreed price and there was less damage to our wall tiles, etc, than we expected. They were recommended to us by a friend and we are very happy to recommend them.

Cannot recommend APL Electrics highly enough. Efficient, knowledgeable and so clean and tidy. They attended to completely wire our new build and offered such good advice to ensure we got exactly what was needed. If I could give more stars I would.

We have used this company many times over 20 years, for major and minor works plus regulation inspections and testing etc. A truly professional service throughout with a personal feel. Would highly recommend.

Michael turned up at the agreed time, explained everything he was doing and did a good job fitting an extractor fan for me. He also cleaned up afterwards. APL are highly recommended.

I've had the privilege of having APL Electrical as my go-to electricians for the past 25 years. Their consistent high-quality work has made a significant difference in my home. From routine maintenance to complex installations, ALL has always delivered exceptional service. Their expertise is evident in their attention to detail, punctuality, and commitment to customer satisfaction. I've always felt confident in their ability to handle any electrical task, no matter how big or small. I wholeheartedly recommend APL to anyone seeking a reliable and skilled electricians. Their years of experience and dedication to their craft make them a truly exceptional professionals.

All installations and work undertaken have been consistently professional, efficient and great customer service. I would highly recommend the friendly team.

Michael from APL Electrical did an amazing job installing my EV charger. It wasn't an easy install for him as first of all he needed to dig a 2 foot deep trench for a good 6 meters to my back door, and then find the least intrusive way of getting the cable to my fuse box to install the dedicated EV fuse. He dug the entire trench by hand in a morning and everything was ready to go by the following day. This was back in 2020, and since then, Michael has been out to service the charger this year (2024) which again was performed quickly and efficiently. If you're looking for a reliable and highly skilled electrician, then look no further.

I have known and used APL for many years. From minor works like fitting a new light or switch up to the major re wiring our latest house they have always provided exceptional service and quality. They have recently completed a garden lighting project, again on time and on budget. They offer good advice and pricing before committing to starting, they always turn up when they say they are coming and are very clean, tidy and professional during their working. What more could anyone ask for?

Having used/worked with various electricians on my garden projects over the years, I've found there are a few recurring problems I've had with some of them. 1. A lack of knowledge/enthusiasm for garden lighting, 2. Using apprentice electricians without sufficient supervision and them not doing a thorough job and 3. The lights stop working.... And one vaped too much but that's by the by. I can happily say I haven't had any of those problems with APL. I found Paul to be great to work with. Knowledgeable, competent keen to suggest ideas and problem solve, timely, good communication etc etc. Himself and Mike are both very professional and great to have around. I thought their finishing particularly was incredibly neat with great attention to detail. Will definitely use them going forward.

Recently added a new supply cable to an outbuilding, along with boards and ancillaries. Were happy to explain the work in a way I understood. Prompt, polite and very knowledgable in their field. Work to a very high standard, also ensuring work areas were as clean as they found them on completion Very happy and would highly recommend.

Michael and Paul have done some great work at the house, with some innovative solutions. 👍

Very knowledgeable and helpful. Great work, tidy install and helpful with queries after install. Not the cheapest but high quality service is worth it.

APL installed our garden lighting and provided excellent follow up help. Thanks to Michael our back garden light show is always available.

I have used APL many times and found them excellent. All quotes are detailed and accurate. Works are carried out in a diligent and prompt manner. Michael is extremely polite and tidy. Any certificates required are produced immediately. I would thoroughly recommend APL electrical.

Michael and Paul are amazing. Michael had previously installed my EV charge point and I was so happy with that experience that I asked him back to do some internal and external lighting. Despite some 'old house' challenges on the way, all jobs were completed to our complete satisfaction. They went above and beyond in trying to find solutions rather than problems. I will definitely be having them back.

Paul has been our electrician for ten years. The service Paul gives is second to none, excellent work and nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend Paul, in fact he also has done all the electrical work for our two daughters!

I recently had my entire house rewired and fully networked by A.P.L, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to deliver exceptional service. Their attention to detail was impressive, with neat and tidy work throughout, and they left the site spotless after each day. Michael and Paul came to look at a total rewire of my house and came up with lots of good ideas and solutions. Both were very polite and professional. Work carried out on time and to a great standard, left my house clean and tidy. Would recommend to others and will definitely use again in the future.

Paul and Michael have been an excellent team when my landscaping business required any lighting and power installations, they know exactly what was needed for outdoor electrics and are great with clients, first class work. APL have also installed various electrics for myself and included a car charger, power and lighting to my log cabin, plus various other things, excellent service, always recommend them.

From start to finish, APL were professional, friendly, accommodating and kept to all promised times and.quoted prices. We had quite a lot of work undertaken including a new consumer unit installed in our 90s build, full CAT6 throughout, complete kitchen rewire for a replacement, about a million lights and sockets changed. The job(s) was done on time, in budget and to a high standard. Cleanliness and tidying up was amazing!

Rude and incompetent

Michael came to quote for an EV chargepoint at my home, and I was very satisfied at the cost. He explained the process, and fitted within a couple of weeks. The workmanship was first class, and nothing was too much trouble. I'll now be using APL for any electrical work in the future, and will recommend them to everyone I know.

Paul was professional and reliable with first class electrical skills and knowledge. Furthermore, he was very engaging and personable which made the whole experience in dealing with Paul very good.

This is the third time we've used Paul for electrical work (this time replacing bathroom extractor fans and fitting new sockets). Very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and tidy. Paul will also suggest useful alternatives or things we hadn't thought of. Would definitely recommend to our friends.
