Heat pump installation
Reviews
4.5
Reviewers say Dorset Energy Solutions Ltd staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and several praise the workmanship and the handling of installations. One reviewer says they had an air source heat pump fitted and later had trouble with it: it was noisier than expected, and problems kept coming back after parts were replaced, though the unit is now working well and the reviewer says the company took responsibility and persuaded the manufacturer to sort it after the warranty expired. Solar panels and batteries were fitted for more than one reviewer with no reported problems, and one reviewer describes an in-roof and on-roof solar array performing well. One reviewer criticises the driving of a company vehicle, saying the driver passed them closely on a bike, cut them off and braked hard. Another says a heat pump hiccup was attended to immediately.
The real test of how good a company is when things go wrong. We have been with Dorset Energy Solutions for over 6 years now and I would not hesitate to recommend them. We had an Air Heat Source Pump installed back in 2020. It was slightly delayed due to Covid. It was a complicated installation as it was a split system with pipes going through awkward places. The pump was a little noisier than we had expected but this was resolved by Amy and Richard helping to resolve the issue. For the next few years we had Jeff come to service the machine. He was always helpful, polite and able to give advice. The unit started to have difficulties after about 4 years and the team tried to resolve the issue by replacing various parts. It was not easy and the problem kept coming back.. not ideal but the team continued to help. The real test was when the unit went out of warranty and Richard took responsibility and persuaded the manufacturer to sort out the problem even though the warranty had expired - Thank you. You would not see this from many other suppliers. The system is working very now and we are delighted. They very much deserve this 5 star review and I would recommend them to others looking for an ASHP.
We went with Dorset Energy Solutions because of their history (and we see their vans all over Dorset). They didn't disappoint. Excellent service and great people to deal with.
Very happy with Dorset Energy Solutions and would highly recommend. Had solar and battery installed by them just under 8 months ago now and haven't had any problems.
Initial contact was for solar panels and batteries quote but unfortunately I went with a slightly cheaper company from further afield who went bust a year later, so I regretted not going local. So last year I went back to Dorset Energy Solutions for a heat pump and radiator installation and have been extremely happy with everything, including after sales and care, which appears to be difficult for most other companies. Amy had all knowledge, the entire installation team were all professional and very pleasant. And when my heat pump had a fluke hiccup this week, they came out immediately to investigate and resolve. I can highly recommend them for everything they do!
Just had an Air Source Heat Pump installed through Dorset Energy Solutions Right from the initial phone call all the way through to commissioning the experience was great All questions had a quick reply, and changes from me dealt with straight away Very Knowledgable team with experience and excellent workmanship I have had Solar Panels and Batteries fitted in the past with no problems Well done to the team, keep up the excellent work
We used Dorset Energy Solutions because of a local recommendation and we are very glad that we did. The company are efficient at all times and the staff are always friendly and ever willing to assist. The solar panels were installed without any delays and have been running for 18 months with the efficiency detailed in the specifications for our 4KW system. We are very happy and would gladly recommend this company to anyone thinking about a solar panel system.
Great Company to deal with, staff are very helpful and efficient and install went very smoothly from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly and we are very happy. Would highly recommend them 🙂
I have found the staff at Dorset Energy Solutions extremely helpful.
Terrible driving. Passed me on my bike extremely close, cut me off and braked heavily causing me to brake hard and skid. All to save the driver 5 seconds at the junction.
Matt and his team have been amazing from start to finish extremely knowledgeable and we love our new solar panels
I used locally based Dorset Energy in Gillingham for a 4kw Solar PV array on an East-West roof. The staff were always friendly & efficient with good ideas. An “in-roof” installation was suggested on the west facing garden roof, which receives many positive comments. The east facing roof is not visible to anyone and an “on-roof” display was fitted. With summer here, the PV array is performing well.
