Rural & Country Energy Ltd T/A Rural and Country Energy LTD drew repeated praise for heat pump, solar and battery work: several reviewers described friendly, tidy installers and systems they were pleased with, and some reported lower energy bills. One reviewer praised aftercare when a fault was fixed, and another described a battery repair after months of use. Criticism also appears: one reviewer said a faulty battery was not sorted and an appointment was missed, another reported poor communication and an unfinished system, and others described cancelled appointments and a lack of aftercare. One reviewer said an installer damaged a tap and the company denied responsibility, and another reported incorrect heat calculations and undersized radiators.
Installation of battery back up ok but when it didn’t function after power cuts, called them back in twice. Oh, it’s ok said their engineers. At the third time of asking and fixing appointment, failed to show. When contacted to ask why, said one of their engineers had had an accident at the weekend and they were short staffed. But they couldn’t be bothered to ring to let me know. Got another electrician involved who ran tests on the battery with the manufacturer and turns out it’s faulty! Customer service- less than poor.
We are pleased with the service that we have had from Rural and Country for both a heat pump last year and a solar system with batteries this year. The team sought to design a system that would best suit our property. We spent time reviewing and asking questions about specifics and both the designers and then later the fitters actively listened to our views to ensure the final layout and details of the system suited us. The staff we met all showed a very genuine desire that we should be happy with the quality of the work. There were minor glitches on the way, and there is no doubt that installation of a new heat pump, in an existing property designed for gas is disruptive, but staff have always ensured that issues were resolved and we were left happy with the final results.
Recently had an air source heat pump with heat geek mini installed. I was kept well informed prior to installation, on the days the engineers were here they were great, respectful of my property, friendly, efficient and checked in with me when I was able to have options on positioning of the equipment. I have plenty of hot water on demand, not yet needed heating on. When running the "noise" is minimal. Would recommend their services.
One of my elderly relatives has just had a solar and battery installation plus air source heat pump controlled central heating installed in his home by Rural & Country Energy. Since he was elderly, I liaised with R&C throughout the entire process and we've been thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the process from quote to the work and all of the interactions with the team at R&C. They have gone the extra mile to help with every step of the journey and particular thanks go to Anna, Dave, Tia, Jenny and Mike. Thank you once again, a brilliant job!
Rural and Country fitted an Air Source Heat Pump, Solar Panels and Car charger. The work also included fitting a new hot tank. Mike and Lee and all the team were great to work with. Without exception all those who worked on the project were efficient, considerate and a pleasure to have on site. The work was completed in a very timely fashion and we are delighted with the results. I cannot recommend them too highly. Edward Gibson
Great company, would not hesitate to recommend them. Although it took a while to organise the installation of both Air Source Heat and Solar energy (not their fault) both teams who did the installation and those in the office were friendly, helpful and reactive. Thank you Rural and Country!
I recently had solar panels, battery storage, and an EV charger installed by Rural and Country Energy. Overall, I am very pleased with the service and the quality of the installation. Anna was very helpful. The project experienced a few minor delays, but communication was generally good and the work was completed to a high standard. The installation team were skilled, professional, and clearly took pride in their work. The finished system looks neat and well installed. My main area for improvement would be customer guidance after installation. While the equipment itself is good, getting the best performance from the system is not always straightforward. There are a number of settings that can significantly affect efficiency and savings, and I think the company could do more to help customers with setup, optimisation, and ongoing instruction. Clearer guidance and support in this area would help customers get maximum value from their investment from day one. In my case, I ended up using ChatGPT to better understand and optimise the system settings. Additional support from the company on this aspect would have been appreciated. That said, I would happily recommend Rural and Country Energy for the quality of their workmanship, professionalism, and overall service.
They have skilled engineers and electricians, but the service is absolutely terrible. Once they received the payment, they stopped responding to us. Our system hasn’t been working properly for months and still hasn’t been fully installed. Despite countless calls and follow-ups, nothing gets resolved—they either ignore us or promise to fix things and never follow through. We feel completely unsupported and stuck with an unreliable system. Even system alarms that could indicate serious issues are being ignored. It’s clear they just don’t care about their customers. I strongly do not recommend this company. I am not sure how we will cope in winter ! I feel that we did a very big mistake to go with them.
We are very pleased with our heat pump and all aspects of the installation and service provided by Rural and Country. We wanted the hot water cylinder fitted in our bathroom and this meant space for all the pipe work was very tight. We were very impressed with the skilled work done by the plumbers in getting this difficult job done as we wanted. They worked very effectively as a team. The work took a week to complete and we were only without hot water for 4 days. Rural and Country have been very quick to respond whenever we have needed to contact them. We have no hesitation in recommending them.
Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers appreciate the company's service, highlighting the staff's helpfulness, knowledge, and professionalism. Many reviewers mentioned smooth installations, punctual service, and efficient responses to any issues that arose. The location and the team's ability to adapt to specific needs were also praised.
After researching and speaking to over 5 companies I decided on rural and country energy to install a mitsubishi 22.4kwh cascade system. Other well known installers wouldn't even look at my house because it didn't fit into a "normal" design. Not an issue with rural though. House is 306m². 9" solid brick wall. Working with the team at Rural was a pleasure. There was one or two snags that needed addressing but they were dealt with in a timely manner. Communication with Rural was good but there could be a small delay in replying as their system designer is onsite a lot of the time. Not a issue though, as all questions are answered. My system was installed summer 2025 so don't know what my winter performance will be but I'm a Home Assistant user and I'll be monitoring every Kw used. For DHW I'm achieving a average COP of 3.8 at the moment. 300L joule. Temp set to 50c. This is live power data as Rural installed a energy meter for each ASHP. I've a open energy monitor pulse sensor on the meter sending live data via a esp32. Advice for anyone looking to swap over to ASHP, run your gas boiler over winter 24/7 and with a max radiator temp of 50c. 45c better. House thermostat to what your comfortable with. If your house is staying at set internal temp, this will show you that your house will be suitable for a ASHP. A ASHP is designed to replace the heat that the building is losing at design temp. If you run it like a boiler, on off method it will probably cost you more. Research weather compensation. With the research I've done and the system design by Rural I'm confident that heating cost will be cheaper than gas. I do have 9.24kwp solar 10kwh battery. Somethings for potential customers to be made aware of. The MelCloud app isnt very good for 2025. Mitsubishi are updating it but there's limited data for a cascade system. One recommendation for Rural and Country Energy. With uses like myself that likes a good graph (I don't know why) it would be great if you could give the more techy users a option to install the open energy monitor system as a optional extra. I'm sure if I asked at the start it wouldn't have been a issue. Good luck with your ASHP journey. If your thinking of a ASHP give Rural a call. You'll be in safe hands. I'll update the review after 2025/26 winter. Alan.
Cannot recommend enough, great communication and advice from the start, courteous and tidy fitting team, excellent product. Thank you all
We used R&C ES to supply and install solar PV panels and air source heat pump as replacement of oil fired boiler. They responded quickly to a request for a quotation and gave a detailed report with useful advice. Prices were competitive. Installation crews for both systems were efficient and pleasant causing minimal disruption. One year on, both systems have proved reliable and performed in accordance with specifications. The company managed grant application and all necessary permits, permissions and certificates. We are happy to recommend them for this type of renewable technology. J&H Dumolo
Rural and country successfully showed us that heat pumps can be installed in old properties. To prove their commitment they came all the way from Cheshire to Norfolk to install the heat pumps and sort out the plumbing in the house. We are more than satisfied and extremely grateful for all the support.
Great and competitive service would definitely recommend!
From start to finish Rural & Country have been first rate. We have had heat pump, solar PV & battery storage fitted by this company over the past year. Good communication throughout & always friendly & helpful staff onsite.
When my old gas boiler needed replacing, I was keen to move away from fossil fuels, however I had read and heard conflicting reports regarding Air Source Heat Pumps, and was rather sceptical that an installation in my property, using existing radiators, would work. I contacted Rural & Country Energy, and a home visit was arranged. The information and advice I received was most helpful, and the company seemed to have many years of experience installing these systems. With renewed confidence I decided to go ahead, and I am so glad I did! The service I received from this company was excellent. The lads who carried out the installation in my property were polite and considerate, and their workmanship neat and tidy. The new system has given me plenty of hot water, along with a bungalow that is much warmer than it has ever been, even during the sub-zero temperatures we experienced in winter. I can thoroughly recommend this company and their expertise!
Excellent service fitting in with our builders was a bit tricky but they worked around the time schedules. We had ASHP fitted with our renovation. Just had the yearly service and all going well.
The company took trouble to work out the most efficient solution for me. Everyone who came on site was directly employed by Rural and Country so there was a single point of responsibility. The work started and finished on time, and I have been pleased with the outcome. As an all electricity household, my bills have gone down and I use electricity more freely now.
We are delighted with our Air Source Heat Pump which was installed by Rural and Country Energy a year ago this month. Everything we were promised is turning out to be 100 per cent accurate. Wonderful ambient temperature throughout the year and we are making substantial savings on our energy costs compared with our previous oil boiler system. The installation was trouble free and Rural and Country staff were very professional and always on hand to give expert advice. I would recommend this company unreservedly.
We decided to make what is a major investment for us in a solar battery system with backup capability, for both long term cost savings and energy security reasons. We looked specifically at R&C as they had already completed a neighbours installation and they were happy with them, whilst the other installer we looked at, quoted nearly as much for a smaller roof mounted system - we already had an old thermal system on the roof and wanted a ground mount in our paddock instead. We went with R&C and from start to finish and post install support, they have been excellent. Between Anna and Mike an appropriate sized install was designed, the planning permission dealt with and the install team did a great job, including a repair on a minor mishap! Post install we had a dodgy CT clamp, which eventually packed in 8 months later and Tia got one of the team out to replace it, with no issues since. The system has been running since April last year and is actually generating 15-20% more than the original quote estimates. The EPS has kicked on two full day power cuts without issue. Cost savings over the long term are impossible to predict (but someone has to pay for Hinkley Point B and the National Grid upgrades and you know where that cost will ultimately land), but combined with an EV, EV overnight rates and a good export rate, we are basically running a 4 bed house and a high performance car for zero electric costs, so we're happy! Thoroughly recommend Rural and Country.
Phase two of bringing my cottage into the 21st century is now complete - ASHP and solar panels successfully installed. A huge thank you to all involved. What a lovely company, everyone I’ve spoken to is so passionate about making energy usage more sustainable and economical. My cottage is old and a little quirky, but they worked with its idiosyncrasies and were very sympathetic. The ASHP and solar seemed a little daunting, but the support and explanations I’ve received so far have been excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rural and Country.
Rural and Country have been such a good company to work with as we have had a heat pump and batteries (with some new radiators) fitted. We already had solar panels. They have been responsive, helpful, informative and supportive throughout this transition from oil fired central heating. Over the last 24 hours I cannot fault Tia who has held my hand as I have struggled with understanding how to use the App to track usage, how to set and change battery charging times and getting the App on my phone in the first instance. She has gone above and beyond what I expected. What excellent friendly service helping technologically challenged elders! Thank you Tia
Absolute waste of time. Keep cancelling, poor communication.
very good aftercare service by efficient and helpful engineers and always someone on the end of the line to help in an emergency.
Absolutely brilliant company...First class staff and efficient service. Highly recommended
What amazing, friendly, courteous staff. They go above and beyond and I have no hesitation in highly recommended them. I special thanks to Alan for all of his help!
Excellent products and friendly team, the work was carried out in stages as this was a new build project. Delighted to be generating our own electricity!
Rural & Country have gone over and above for us with their customer service and attentiveness. We are extremely lucky to have them on board as our ground source engineers. Chris is our regular engineer, his knowledge and the way he conducts himself is exemplary. We highly recommend Rural & Country!
Had a heat pump installed by the team. Install team was efficient, courteous and clean, and I’m super happy with my new heat pump!
Great experience with Rural & Country. We have solar pv system with battery storage installed on an outbuilding, but supplying the house approx 8 weeks ago. Due to the nature of the install there were a few infrastructure issues during install that caused difficulties. R&C were brilliant and had a team on site that stayed until the problems were resolved and everything was full up and running. The install is tidy, the fitters were clean, tidy and courteous. The team in the office have been a great help as well. All in all. A great investment and we can see the benefits already.
Really great bunch of staff, a real pleasure to work with. Everyone has gone home happy. Would recommend 👍
Very pleased with the polite and efficient way all the staff at Rural & Country Energy dealt with my initial enquiry and subsequent installation of air-sourced heat pump and solar panels.
Over the last few years we have had an ASHP system installed and old oil boiler removed, 2 lots of solar panels and a battery installed and we had no hesitiation in returning to R&C on each occasion to get the work done. We have also recommended them to friends and neighbours who have been pleased we have done so. They are professional and knowledgeable, they plan the work from end to end, everything required is delivered on time be it kit or scaffolding and work takes place when they say it will. If they come across issues they do not rest until they are sorted. I can only imagine the diificulties they must have in keeping up with the technology and global supply issues yet they still deliver a friendly exemplary service which is of great credit to the whole team. We have no hesitation in recommending them and will continue to do so.
An excellent air source heat pump installation at our home, but initially with some operating problems. These were sorted out quickly by Craig, who worked extremely diligently through the whole installation, found what was wrong and made the necessary corrections. The system now working well in conjunction with the battery storage and solar panels. A really good piece of work and very many thanks to Craig and Rusal & Country.
One of your van drivers number plate NU71 XVN is an extremely dangerous driver. They were constantly overtaking cars in a long lane of traffic with complete disregard for oncoming traffic and blind bends. I am speaking up because they will end up killing someone innocent and it needs to stop.
Rural and country installed an air source heat pump with hot water cylinder at our character house. This company really seem to know their stuff. The heat pump itself is a really good unit and I am blown away as to how quiet it is and how hot the water it produces is. The install team were really friendly, tidy, considerate and the quality of workmanship was incredibly high. They ensured that the character of our house was protected by putting the pump in a raised location that other installers just refused to quote for. The only negative was a delay in getting a quote, but one of the owners rang to apologise and the job was completed really soon after that. Brilliant experience overall.
Had an Air Source Heat Pump installed July 2022. Discovered in December 2022 during the cold weather that the heat pump could only get the house (new build) to 15 degrees inside when running at maximum. After investigating with third parties we discovered that their heat calculations were hugely incorrect (which we weren’t even shown prior to the install) and that our radiators are undersized enormously even though their advice was “not to change the radiators” when we ordered from them. Had to go to NAPIT and HIES for two or three months in order to get them to replace some radiators. Eventually got it corrected but the service received from Lee was absolutely appalling. The rest of the team are fantastic and a credit to their terrible boss. Originally would have given them one star but due to great team of installers they have and how helpful they are, I’ve given them two. Please ensure you check every calculation they have before confirming to place an order. Save yourself the pain! (I also expect a rude response from Mike on this as looking at the other reviews he seems be just as polite as Lee).
Thank you for your help in getting my “Air source heat pump “ system working again after a breakdown. It is really much appreciated!
We had air source heat pump & solar panels fitted. The pump appears to be under-powered or set up isn’t quite right. We have tried to contact company and been promised call backs but no response. Really frustrating as house is cold & is a significant investment.
We were so pleased with the installation of our air pumps by Rural and Country that we have returned for a solar installation with batteries. Again, installers were clean and tidy while completing the work. The work was completed to an excellent standard. Systems were clearly explained by the installation engineers. Thank you to the whole team for helping reduce our carbon footprint and future proofing our house, we are delighted with the results. Plus, our electricity bill has reduced from £10 a day to £2 a day. Many thanks, Mr and Mrs Bowen.
This was a great investment as we live out in the country and were running on oil at the time. We already have Solar PV installed so really interested in the Air Source Heat pump alternative for heating. Rural & Country came out, did a study and came up with a recommendation for us. As we live in a bungalow, we asked if the water tank could be put up into the loft to generate hot water pressure as opposed to installing extra pumps and to free up needed downstairs space from the old system. No problems at all! Very friendly and professional service\installation from start to finish. This was all done a year ago and to say that it has saved us money in energy bills is an understatement, especially in this current climate. Very pleased with the result and have recommended R&C to several friends and relatives. A number of which have taken up the combined Air Source pump and Solar PV option. Fully recommend.
Good job well done. Friendly helpful team
Excellent service from start to finish. Very pleased with our new heat pump and pv panels. Rural and Country obviously have a tried and tested procedure in place as all aspects of the works followed smoothly one after another. Special mention for the heat pump installers, Chris and Martin, who managed a difficult installation so well and also to Barry whose initial (free) advice was invaluable.
Great company, the staff on site were fantastic, ground works, electrician, plumber did whatever was necessary to ensure a smooth installation to the highest of standards. A few snagging issues took a while to sort hence 4* not 5* review but they are now resolved.
Many thanks Lee. Thank you for fast response and we will send a cheque to you for the revised amount immediately. Also can I say that your installation team Adam and Luke did an amazing job for us. They were very efficient , friendly and obliging. We are very happy with the installation. Regards John and Joan Woodhouse.
We used Rural & Country to upgrade our heating and hot water from oil to an air source heat pump. The surveys were completed quick and very informative, the installation team were amazing, helpful, knowledgeable, polite and went over and above at every stage. The back office customer support is not the best but queries were answered quickly. The system was commissioned with a great handover and demonstration of how the new system works, I was pleasantly surprised how quick the house warmed up and how quiet the system is. I would highly recommend the air source heat pump system and the installation by Rural & Country.
Oh dear. It all went so well until one of the installers dropped something heavy on an existing tap. He swiftly covered it up with lagging and left, having completed installation. Having contacted the company as soon as we spotted the ever increasing puddle on the floor, Rural & Country Energy Ltd instantly reneged any responsibility. And losing all good-will their installers had inspired. Needless to say, after discussion with us, the two householders who had shown a strong interest in contracting Rural & Country Energy Ltd for their energy needs, will now contract another company. Like many of these newish companies, they all stumble on the quality of their After Sales Service. So sad, such a good idea. Such good installers.
Really happy with our heat pump! Great team at Rural & Country, very helpful.
I have edited this review and increased my rating from 1star to 4 stars because Rural and Country have reacted to my concerns and improved communication to a point where I have been so impressed I have placed an order with them. The ball is now in their court to deliver and I hope that in a few months time I will be in a position to leave a 5 star review. I can only commend Rural And Country for their reaction to a negative review and accepting their failing rather than trying to dismiss it. Well done an excellent customer service response. Richard came out to assess my property and discuss what I was looking to install, a typical 15kW solar array to be located in one of my field adjacent to the house. This was back on the 9th of November. Even though I have chased them for a response, Jenny Kidd Office Administrator, I have had no reply. What else do I need to say!!
Tried to use these people in shropshire, and they are a disaster. All talk. Promised us a new heat pump in 10 to 12 weeks last October, which should of been January/early feb. After months of chasing a date was offered in August! We rang them the week before to check it was being done as we had heard nothing, and the date had been put back a week. They obviously weren't going to inform us of this. Shifts at work had been arranged around the date. I had lost out on several hundred pounds overtime as a result. At this point we demanded our deposit back. They had had our 3300 deposit for nearly 10 months at this point. They then started making threats about us accepting 1000 less because we apparently had cost them money. No thought to the money the delays had cost us, or the inconvenience. We have taken the partial settlement just to get this pathetic company off our backs. We will be taking them to court for the rest. Utter rubbish, and nasty people as well. AVOID AVOID AVOID Thanks for the response. The review is just 100% the truth I'm afraid. I've just found the review that I've posted in the screenshot below. Sound familiar?! The only difference is they got their deposit back in full. I think you may of set a precedent there. Please expect some contact shortly as we will be going through the courts for the rest of our deposit back. The contract we signed said 8 to 12 weeks installation. It had gone well past 40 weeks Finally, my partner has not said a thing about you , so I've no idea where you get that from.
I had a Air source heat pump fitted recently. I am so pleased with the job they did. The work they did was professional and neat, everything is finished like an art piece. The team was great too, they were really friendly and just got on with their work. Highly recommanded.Thank you.
Recently had an Air source heat pump fitted, the installation team where great, they worked around my needs (home dialysis) and are totally professional in all they do. Very friendly and supportive ensuring we were confident in operating the new installation. The whole site was left clean all old boiler bits and other bits taken away. The new air pump has now been working for a month without a hitch. One of the senior staff talked me through the feed in tariff application ensuring there were no problems. So a big thank you to Rural and Country
There’s a perplexing mix of experiences here in previous reviews and after much thought, I added our own. Certainly, we were bona fide customers of R&C and at time of writing this, they had our 3K deposit still to confirm that. Initially, with the deposit paid, Mike was helpful (if a trifle forceful) in response to early email requests for info and at our survey in January 2020 Lee could not have been more engaging and informative. However, it was 11 weeks before we saw the survey report, despite repeated requests. We were patient and we were courteous in correspondence and more than made allowances for the Covid challenges this year but in the ensuing months, long periods of time elapsed without response to our remaining concerns: the insurance provided had elapsed and was not extended; radiators at the time of the planned installation (of an air source heat pump) were and were not advised; their size or appearance (and for a time, even their cost) could not be specified and aspects of the report did not correlate with the rooms in our home or with comments made on the day of survey. Despite multiple requests over 4 months, we weren’t able to arrange a single conversation with Lee or Mike, whether for answers to these questions, or to discuss more broadly a contract we were increasingly concerned about. Eventually, after much distress and worry, and having lost all confidence, we submitted a formal “letter” of complaint and withdrew from the installation. Though receipt of that email was acknowledged immediately, a further 4 months later we had still not had a reply. There is follow-up to this: after this post was placed, we did receive a letter which both apologised for poor service and reproached me for this post and a lack of understanding, but included a return of our deposit in full, for which we are truly grateful.
Very pleased with our air source heat pump. After-sales support excellent. I am happy to recommend.
R&C installed an Air Source Heat Pump in February. About a month ago we had a glitch when I tried to extend the programme timer (almost certainly because I am an IT dinosaur). I contacted R&C and Lee talked me through the solution on the telephone until we got it right. He was efficient, effective, amiable and friendly, and (most important) he was tolerant of my technological inadequacies. Our telephone exchange lasted nearly 15 minutes whilst he told me which buttons to press until the problem was sorted out. The system went into some kind of lockdown earlier this week (cause unknown) and this time it was Alan who returned my call for help. Like Lee he was effective, accommodating and friendly and took enormous trouble instructing me how to sort out our difficulty. The system is now working well. The After Sales Service which we have experienced with R&C cannot be faulted. Lee, Alan and clearly the attitude of this Company as a whole, are much to be applauded. I commend them without hesitation. Richard Nethercott November 2020
I had a pellet boiler installed under the RHI by an alternative service provider. They subsequently went bust and left me with a boiler that was relatively ineffective. I contacted Rural and Country to help. Not only did they send a number of people round to inspect, they serviced the boiler, repaired a faulty valve, replaced an under specified pump, rerouted the wiring, properly connected a secondary zone valve which controls the underfloor heating, removed and replaced an incredibly dangerous immersion heater and finally upgraded the control system. The cost of all this? Peanuts. I now have a very happy family - an amazing service provider I can call on at any time and faith in a modern heating system. For years I thought that pellet boilers were just rubbish - what I learnt was that my installation company was. I can’t thank you guys enough. Special thanks to Lee and Vinny, you went massively above and beyond.
Had a heat pump fitted just two weeks ago the team have done a great job, very clean and tidy nothing was two much trouble would recomend to anyone thanks Mick, lee, and team.
I have recently had a number of both domestic and commercial car chargers installed by Rural and Country for both my business and homes of employees. The process was smooth and effective, going above and beyond when finding things that weren’t quite right during the survey. The advice they gave was brilliant. These aren’t just a fire and forget service provider, they hand held every step of the way. I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Warning! Mike and Lee took our money in November 2019 to do drilling work. They finished leaving a dangerous mess for which they deny responsibility. They took more money in March and June. Since then they have done next to nothing except seeming to try every way they can to get out of finishing the job and fixing the mess! Our advice: steer well clear of these two.
Was a bona-fide customer who has been let down by Rural and Country Energy Ltd.
AVOID this company at ALL costs!!! Do not be charmed by Mike and Lee, they will happily take your money and not return calls when problems occur!!!
BEWARE. This Company at present is no longer a member of NAPIT as their certification has been suspended due to poor management. Three years after installation we are still awaiting them to return to site to finish the job. Their service to us has been deplorable. AVOID I will amend feedback if and when they return to site.
An excellent company all round but probably what impressed most was the various fitters who carried out the installation. They were very professional and always left the property neat and tidy at the completion of the days work. Jan and I would highly recommend Rural and Country to anyone considering installing a ground heat source
Just had a Heat Pump & Solar panels installed by Rural & Country Energy. The company were recommended by Mitsubishi and were also pretty local to us, so we arranged for a site visit by Richard. We went ahead with the recommendations and are really pleased with the results. The system is far more flexible than our boiler and we are certainly spending less running it. I would recommend this company, it's advice and it's services.
Mike and Lee from Rural & Country Energy provided great upfront information to help our decision making. There was no pressure sell, but ultimately with Government grant the decision was a no brainer. The installation team were conscientious, knowledgeable, neat and tidy and the system has ultimately delivered as promised. I am already recommending Air Source heating and Rural & Country Energy to install through word of mouth and have no hesitation in recommending them online too.
Rural & Country provided me with a first-class service. Mike came to conduct the survey and put the quotation together which was both easy to follow and descriptive, the cost was laid out clearly allowing me to make an informed choice under no pressure. Once contracts had been signed and the cooling-off period had elapsed I was then handled by the office team and the installation team who turned up on time and carried out the works quickly and efficiently finishing just over a day earlier than expected which was a bonus. My ground source heat pump works just as Mike had explained and I could not be happier. Would highly recommend this business.
Would recommend the company and the heat pump technology they use.
The guys fitted us a complete air source heat pump system, radiators, pipework, hot water tank plus PV panels on the roof. Everything was explained fully, the work and the guys themselves were really professional and the after sales support has been great too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!
Call as a result of a leaflet drop spoke to a man, told him we had arranged to have a new oil fired boiler fitted at the end of August but that we would be interested in details of an Air Source Heat pump and could he ask someone to contact us today as it was urgent. No phone call no email. Suggest you avoid.
A good friendly service and a job well done, certainly will recommend.
Rural and Country supplied and fitted an air source heat pump to replace our aged, inefficient and smelly oil boiler. The service is seamless from their first visit to commissioning the system. At every stage, our questions were answered and advice given. The after sales service is also excellent so I would recommend them if you want to go a bit greener.
Our aged Rayburn died at the beginning of February leaving us without heating and cooking facilities. We contacted Rural and Country Energy and within two weeks they had surveyed our property and installed air source heat pumps and within a further week had installed and commissioned solar panels. We can’t thank Mike, Lee, Jessica and the rest of their team enough for all their hard work in sorting us out so quickly. We have found the entire team efficient, approachable and only too ready to help. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company.
We cannot fault this company, easy to contact, no nonsense, explains everything in plain English with no jargon. Nothing is too much trouble. Every one we have had contact with has been very friendly, and are polite and mannerly . Would definitely recommend!
I added a storage battery to my existing solar system just under 3 years ago which was installed by Rural & Country Energy. This required replacing the inverter and rewiring the entire system, including installation of switchgear in the house to allow use of the solar system in the event of a power outage - a feature that wasn't possible with the original installation. Everything has worked splendidly since and I am very pleased with both the work that was done and the performance of the upgraded system. Many thanks to Mike and his team for their professionalism!
We have had a ground source heat pump fitted by Rural & Country Energy. Their advice on the specification, planning the system and delivery was excellent. The team lead by Lee were knowledgeable, friendly and first class. We are so pleased with the heating system it has given a new dimension to our home. First class service, I would recommend them for any renewable energy scheme.
Not sure whether the other negative reviewers were using the same company as us! Rural and Country installed a substantial ground source heat pump for us, and we have used them since to upgrade our radiators. We’re now looking at using their services again for a complete renovation project. The fact that we’d happily use them for repeat work speaks volumes for how we find the quality of their work and importantly how personable and helpful Mike and Lee, and their guys, especially Martin, are to deal with. If considering using Rural and Country I’d ignore the odd bad review (must have had project specific issues) and speak to them direct. They gave us the opportunity to visit and speak to existing satisfied customers which was a huge comfort when considering using relatively ‘new’ technologies. We’re very pleased with the system we’ve had installed, saves us money and environmentally sound.
I have nothing but praise and support for Ian, Mike and Lee amongst others at this company. As a service provider myself I understand the difficulties of pleasing all the people all of the time. However many negartive reviews left here, I would suggest and through experience, are due to the writer's frustration and perhaps with some self reflection are predicated upon theri own mistakes or mis-understanding. It is very easy to lash out and leave a negative unjustfied set of comments that do not reflect the facts. From my own experiences of using Rural and Countries services I cannot prasie enough their engagement model which is thorough, professional, expert and timely. When teething issues have been encountered they have been quick to respond and find a solution, offering advice and guidance throughout the support services. All engaged I have found to be proactive, professional and courteous. I have no hesitation in recommending them and am already considering other 'green' installations. I am happy to share my experiences further with anyone that seeks a reference by contacting them in the first instance.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We bought a biomass heating system in 2016. After a number of 'teething problems' we discovered it used far more fuel than estimated by the technical/sales team. After a year, it started drawing in huge amounts of air, rendering it entirely useless. Then the boiler split. It was replaced but by that time we had had enough and had started a complaints process. As part of that, we discovered that the system was a commercial installation and not compliant with the Domestic RHI Scheme we had been registered for. Our MSC certificate was for a completely different model! Two years down the line, we have finally got most of our money back. The company's attitude has been rude and aggressive, making out that we are the problem. Don't use them! If it's too late, complain. And keep on complaining until you get your money back. Good luck!
Do not use! They will happily take your money then provide no after care when problems occur
