Choosng Princes LHS Ltd to install my solar system was the best finacial decision I have made in many years. From the moment I contacted them until the moment the installation was completed they were highly professional - efficient, responsive, tidy and competitive. I subsequently used them to uprate my system with a battery which allowed me to change my car to a PHEV vehicle and I now run my car for free for 90% of the time. My excess generation re- exported to my supplier exactly paid my central heating oil bill for a full 12 months - another massive saving. In summary thanks to Princes LHS Ltd we now have free electricity for all our household needs plus free motoring "fuel" costs.

The installation of our Powerwall 3 plus Expansion Kit took just a day from placing the order. The electrical work needed to install the batteries and to connect them to an existing Tesla Gateway took just a couple of hours. The electrician was able to use existing wiring to establish a data link between the Powerwall 3 and the Gateway negating the need for remote metering. Since installation, we have experienced some configuration issues resulting in some odd data flows. Princes LHS has been proactive in getting Tesla Support to resolve these issues, and the installed system now seems to be working as advertised. We are more than happy to recommend Princes LHS to anyone thinking of going down the Tesla Powerwall installation route.

As Early Adopters with electric car. Found them to be a Brilliant company…..Initially they supplied and fitted my RED 16kW Heat pump and Water system then Tesla battery followed by 21 Solar panels. Princes LHS fitted my solar panels and battery storage. They organised everything very efficiently and the job is exceptionally neat. The battery is in a garage which is remote from the house and there are no visible cables on our property. Big thank you to Josh who has always been very helpful particularly when we had a glitch with the battery software. Could definitely recommend this company.

We had Princes LHS install Solar and a Tesla PW3, The installation was neat and tidy, cable runs are discreet and the work was completed in good time. Our main reason for going for a company in the area was incase of future issues which is where they really shine, We had an issue after a few months installation by an separate electrician working on our home who blew the main power wall fuse by the time anyone realised what happened it was out of hours however the team at Princes offered to help and didn't want to leave us with no power overnight no matter the time.

I chose Princes LHS because I wanted a Samsung heat pump and they are a Samsung approved installer with good reviews. It was a good choice. They are very knowledgeable and the installation was handled very well. I went on to have a Tesla home battery and solar panels installed by them and everything has been great.

Princes LHS have installed an ASHP and a solar system, including a Tesla Powerwall 3, at our property. The installation was very smooth with good communication throughout the process. The quality of workmanship was second to none. The workmen were always punctual and worked in a tidy manner, always cleaning up as they went and at the end of the day Highly recommended!

We had a heat pump and new radiators fitted in our dated home. The staff were friendly and great, we even went to work and let them carry on in our home. :) We will be definitely using them again!

I cannot recommend Princes LHS Ltd highly enough. They completely transformed our home into a fully electrified, incredibly efficient setup. We have an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) which was installed around 5 years ago & regulary serviced with no issues. In October we decided we would look at using someone local. I called Princes & booked a service at £198. The service was done by engineer S (I won't use their name here). S advised me that the 2 white expansion tanks needed to be replaced as they had failed. S went into detail to explain to me that these can actually be pumped up using a bicycle pump to do it. He did not pump them up during the service visit. He told me they needed replacing & the office would provide a quote for this & topping the glycol up which was low. I noticed later in the day after S left our pressure had dropped to 0. I thought this was unusual after a service but just topped it up. We decided to go ahead with the quote of close to £400 & paid, as requested, 50% of this, so almost £200. Having spoke to two other companies regarding servicing ASHPs we were advised that if the tanks had been checked & pumped up during service it would have been very obvious if they had failed as you would know within a minute.  When the second engineer (who I will refer to as G) came out I expressed concern re the tanks & he said he would check. He looked & told me they were both fine & just needed pumping up. We explained we had a service & G asked who had done it, as the tanks should have been pumped up then but that they probably didn't bother as they were difficult to access. Embarrassing when we had to say it was Princes, the very company he worked for! Having established that there was nothing up with our expansion tanks, G pumped them up, sorted the glycol, identified a leak (loose fitting on our water cylinder) which the service record noted had been fixed previously. G left stating he had turned the heating & hot water on & would speak to the office about the almost £200 paid given we didn't actually have or need the tanks replacing, only the glycol topping up. As G had been late I had to leave immediately as I was late for work. When I got home I noticed the house was cold & there was no hot water. I looked at the ASHP usage/data & was able to see that the heat pump had not worked since G left. We have data from our ASHP to confirm this. There was also an error code on the ASHP & a noise that sounded like a bag of spanners. We spent Friday evening with no heating & hot water in minus temperatures. On Saturday morning I called Princes & they sent G back out. G explained that the grinding was the coil in the Gledhill tank & suggested this would need a longer term fix but temporarily fixed it with cable ties. This is a problem we did not have until Princes touched our system. In the years we have had our system we have never had a rattling coil & we believe it is due to G adjusting our pump settings. The error was due to a blocked filter, something G apparently tested before he left the day before & everything was working (as mentioned above our ASHP data says otherwise). We had no apology from Princes for leaving us with no heating or hot water, no apology when we were told we needed work done we didn't, no apology that the service wasn't done correctly & even worse the fact that out of the almost £200 paid out of the almost £400 quote they told us we still owed just over £80 they would waive as a gesture of goodwill. We were very clear in saying we wouldn't have paid the £80. We have had no breakdown of wor they are indicating it is £280 for topping up the glyol. They have since said engineer S did pump up our expansion tanks but they have no record of it. It is not recorded in the service form which is concerning although S did record we needed replacement tanks which is convenient that he recorded this but not what he apparantly did. Princes state 'we are confident Steve is not a liar' so they are calling us liars! Princes then quoted us almost £200 to fix the issue which was causing the rattling in the tank & the temporary fix G did. They quoted to fix an issue they created that we did not have before.

Came out to give me a quote, stated he would go back to discuss with his engineers and call back. Didn't call back, popped into their office on my way past, said would call next week, still didn't call. If you don't want the job just let me know don't say you'll call and then don't bother.

Professional guys with huge experience.

I’ve had both positive and negative experiences with Princes LHS. In December 2021, they installed a Powerwall, upgraded our consumer panel, and added a secondary solar array. The installation of the Powerwall and solar array was generally good, but we experienced continuous issues with our consumer panel, which kept tripping. We had to reset the panel five or six times a day. After 12 months of communication, they eventually sent someone out to replace one of the RCDs. However, we were charged £250 for this, despite the considerable cost of the initial installation. Given the circumstances, I expected a more reasonable, parts-only charge. I later considered additional work with Princes LHS. Josh contacted us regarding the installation of a second Tesla Powerwall 2, and we paid a deposit. Unfortunately, the DNO application for the second Powerwall was declined. Although I was offered alternative options, I struggled to discuss them due to poor communication. I sent an email and left two messages with the office staff over a period of three weeks, but received no response. It wasn’t until my third phone call that I finally got a reply. This lack of responsiveness was frustrating and gave me the impression that my business wasn’t valued. According to the small print of the contract, Princes LHS withheld £180 from my deposit for the second Powerwall. I suggested, given their poor communication, that they might consider waiving this fee, but my email went unanswered. While the technical work was generally up to standard, I would advise caution when it comes to customer service and communication. Unfortunately, due to these issues, I will be seeking other companies for future electrical and renewable installations.

Really pleased with our new bathroom. Steve is a very experienced bathroom fitter and came up with suggestions I hadn’t thought about such as moving the sink away from the corner to fit a full size towel radiator in and having a bath filler on the shower unit so no taps to clean behind 😁. I thought we had to live with the boxed in pipe work but he buried this in the wall. All in all a very thorough job.

Had a solar battery and home charger installation. The team worked hard to fit it in some difficult conditions. I was consulted at every stage. A neat and tidy job. After sales support has so far been very good. Would definitely use them again.

There were delays to our installation owing to the need to complete installations for those customers with green grants. Changes in management personnel led to some inconsistencies, but all staff were friendly and responsive, technicians worked hard and although there were occasional communication issues, we were impressed by the delivery of our GSHP. None of these issues detract from the quality of the installation.

I chose Princes as I THOUGHT they would do a professional tidily finished installation. How wrong I was, instead I was left with a feeling that my home and I had been assaulted. Horrid arrogant uncaring management, rude and untruthful that overcharge greatly for the standard of work given. Shameful behaviour from a "supposedly" professional company. Not recommended one iota. The reply by the owner is untrue. If you want your home to be hacked about and left in that condion, use Prince's. The installation was safe (I hope), but if you want a tidy installation with a caring attitude please look elsewhere. The arrogance of this company is outstanding.

We have used Princes for all the electrical and plumbing work in our new build plus the installation of an air source heat pump, under floor heating, solar panels and battery storage system. When it comes to renewables there are few people who would be able to match Matt's knowledge. Josh (electrician) and Jack (plumber) were brilliant - We took their advice on a number of matters and knew we would always get an honest and informed answer. When they made suggestions for improvement we knew we would be foolish not to take their advice! Josh came up with some excellent ideas for our garden lighting and we are really pleased with it. There have been a few minor hiccups in communication with the office staff but we cannot fault the quality of the work that has been done. On a job this size there are bound to be a few snags but these have all been resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner. Ultimately this is what matters.

Excellent service all round. Information was really helpful before making my decision Nothing was too much trouble and I could contact them at any time with questions or advice. I was always informed beforehand when work was planned, and jobs were carried out in a professional and friendly manner. All work was checked carefully and carried out to a high standard.

I've now used Princes for the installation of solar panels, battery technology, and an air source heat pump - as well as conventional electrical wiring work. I've always been pleased with the quality of workmanship, the friendliness of the staff, and the effectiveness of the installations. Just occasionally there are hiccups in communication where I have to chase for answers to questions or the despatch of paperwork, but any such minor issues are generally quickly resolved. I have no hesitation in continuing to use Princes, or to recommend them to others.

Fantastic service, I have used these guys several times and they never fail to deliver sound expert advice followed up with top trades to complete the work at very competitive rates. If your in the market for going green and saving money, give them a call. Highly recommend!!!

I just wanted to praise Reece for all his help in getting my Zappi charger installed, while he was working from home. He rushed through the install for me to ensure, I could get it in before the Gov changed the grant amount, but also before the Gov put the UK on lockdown. He was really helpful and communication was great! Also to the chap who installed the Zappi today, he worked really hard and was very helpful. Once this Virus has settled down and the UK has gone back to normal, I will be in touch to go ahead with the Solar installation.

I have had a number of installations completed by Princes LHS and never had a problem. I purchased a Tesla Powerwall (my second purchase from them over the years) and I’m really pleased with the amount it’s saving me each month. The guy I spoke to (I think Matt) was really helpful. Overall, very pleased.

We needed to replace our heating system and we obtained quotes from a number of potential suppliers. The knowledge and professionalism shown right from the outset by Matt made the decision as to who to appoint to do the job was a no brainer. As it happened they gave the cheapest quote by a small margin but we would have gone with them even if that wasn’t the case. We ordered a new air source heat pump system and photovoltaics. The engineers who did the work were very friendly, helpful and professional. The attention to detail and quality of installation was obvious. We both work from home and they worked round us to ensure noise was kept to a minimum when we were making conference calls etc. The proof of the pudding is that we now have a totally reliable system, and electrical bills less than half what we had before. If only every supplier was this good life would be much better!
