We recently had a supplemental solar battery installed. The communication was excellent, and the service was professional, efficient, and competitively priced. We are very satisfied and will definitely use this company again. We regret not choosing them initially.

Our electric car charger suddenly stopped working, mid charge, and we were stuck. Daniel Gardner was able to send an electrician out the day after I phoned who quickly was able to assess the problem: the charger was damaged beyond repair after water ingress. This was a design flaw. A replacement was ordered and fitted within a matter of days. Both electricians were friendly and knowledgeable, they cleared everything away when the work was done. I am sure there are cheaper electricians available but we felt we were getting work done which was speedy, competent and efficient. The bill was exactly the same as the quote, so there were no hidden add-ones as the work progressed.

Had an issue with our sockets. Electrician came same day and sorted issue within 30 mins. Reasonably priced.

We've had quite a lot of work done by Daniel and the team and they've always been responsive and tidy. We mentioned to them that we were looking at installing solar panels on the roof and they offered to quote for the work. They put us in touch with Jim Miller from MMS Ltd who visited the house and discussed the options. Jim put together a very good spec and the team from DG managed the install over two days. The job was well done with no fuss and we now have a system that is delivering 95% of our electrical needs straight off the roof. Overall it was a great experience with the team being interested in doing a good job and ensuring that we were satisfied with the specification and the install. I'm aware that the installation of solar panels is one of those hyped areas that can leave you a bit dizzy, but going with a tried and tested local trader gave us confidence and I would be very happy to recommend them to others.

Recommend this firm highly. Every effort was made to resolve the electrical issues in our home as quickly as possible and a full EICR report completed specifying what work needing to be done to bring the electricals up to standard. This work was done promptly and efficiently and the guys cleaned up afterwards and left the place tidy. Everyone was helpful from the office administrator to the manager and the electricians doing the work who explained the process and answered any questions.

We used Daniel Gardner Electrical to check the Consumer Unit etc and the various fittings in our home which is around forty years old. From initial approach to carrying out the tests to receipt of a further quote for remedial work to carrying out the remedial work and retesting took about three weeks from start to finish. Excellent service throughout. We used them on recommendation from a friend and will certainly recommend them to others.

As a Community Hall we need to get have as little downtime as possible to allow groups to meet as usual. In November 2022 Daniel Gardner committed to install our upgrades starting on the 4th January 2023. And that was exactly when it started, and the work was completed in two days as was predicted. I contacted Daniel Gardner to help with my electrics in an old cottage as circuits were constantly tripping. They responded quickly and traced the problem along with identifying numerous other problems, including a lack of earth for the wiring. After installing a new consumer unit, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a new outside socket and completing a mammoth task on making the lighting wiring safe they have left me with an electrically safe house. I got in touch with this company to ask for a quote to install smoke and heat detectors as per new Scottish law. I was quoted £610. I contacted three other companies in the area and their quotes for exactly the same job were between £300 and £340. Complete rip off, considering that everyone is struggling with the cost of living. The excuse I received from this company for quoting that much was that they are simply better than everyone else - of course they are... And after I asked to justify why they want so much money, they blocked me from their Messenger - very professional. Please shop around; there are plenty of decent traders in Fife.

Having been highly recommended by a friend I employed Daniel Gardner to carry out various jobs in my home. Those included installation of new led lighting system in the garage, fitting of legally required smoke, heat and monoxide alarms, and fitting new light fittings both outside and throughout the house. Those jobs were all carried out to a particularly high standard and with the minimum of disruption. I contacted Daniel Gardner for some advice before contracting them to carry out an electrical inspection. Kieran was very helpful and the inspection was carried out by Neil, who is very thorough. New to Cupar and a friend recommended I go to Daniel Gardner to arrange pendants and lights to be fitted. Kieran was professional and extremely friendly when I called and reassured me that he would get someone to me asap. Less than 2 weeks later the job was done. Neil and Phil were great! Checking with me before installing each light and they were genuine, decent guys who just got on with the job. Will definately be using them again as there is lots of work still to be done.

Called company on a Saturday morning when power failed due to a fault on washing machine. Only company who gave telephone advice to get our power back. Called on Monday morning to install isolator switch. Work carried our very tidily by an extremely competent electrician who explained all work carried out. Very satisfied with cost and after sales service. No hesitation in recommending.

The office was excellent in fixing and then re-arranging the date of the electrician’s visit as I needed to move it. The electrician was polite and very efficient in looking at the problems we were having with our bathroom and kitchen extraction fans. He managed to source a replacement fan for our kitchen that day and came back at the end of the day after his other scheduled visits to fit it. The charge for the work was in line with what I’d have expected to pay for the work carried out.

We have spent 2 years renovating our home and dealt with a number of tradespeople in this time, and Daniel Gardner Electrical Contractor were one of the best. We needed our entire mains supply fire alarm system replacing as well as safety checks and some bits and pieces, and they were incredibly helpful, responsive, always arrived on time, were very thorough, clean and tidy, and offered great advice. Communication was always great and I could not recommend them more highly. I will always recommend them to anyone who needs electrical help now, they really were superb!

our electricity tripped at 5.30pm on a Friday night! Called Daniel who worked with us trying different solutions to see us through the weekend, then sent his electricians to us on the Monday to investigate the issue. They were very thorough and advised on upgrades that were needed. Came to complete the job a few days later. Highly professional, the electricians were polite and helpful and kept disruptions to a minimum as they knew we were working from home. Now feel reassured with the electricity. 5 star service, would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this more, I had a problem with my Alarm system which no one else could find. I called Daniel which I should have done in the first place , he sent Chris the very next day. Chris spent a couple of hours looking for the fault and did all this with a smile on his face, he was polite chatty and certainly new his trade. Fault was found and all was good with a test. Daniel Gardner's organisation has been a consistent and excellent electrical sub contractor for St Leonards School in St Andrews for a number of years. This year a new transformer was installed with 2*300 amp cables supplying one of the boarding houses. This required a new switch room and a change over the supply during the Christmas term holidays. The team working on it were excellent and dedicated to provide the best solution with a specific deadline for us as a client.
