I found Blue Wave's booking system and work professional, but overpriced. When I initially enquired the cost, I was verbally told the work would be charged at a reasonable hourly rate. The quote was not itemised but I agreed to the work being carried out on the assumption that the job was not trivial. It was only when I realised how minor the job had been that I challenged the firm and was told that charges for travel and sourcing materials had been added. In my view, excessively. More transparency from the start would have been useful

Can't praise these guys enough. The installation of my new boiler wasn't entirely straightforward, but they did a fabulous job and I'm happy. Very knowledgeable and professional, respectful of my property and friendly. They will be replacing my old bath with a new shower soon, these guys will be my go to in the future. There was a time when you had a months grace before you had to pay your bill! When someone elderly and disabled has an emergency they sometimes need that months grace! The demand for payment arrived within 2 days.

Work done well but watch out on the time spent on the job and materials costs after you sign your contract, plus don't ring back if you have a problem with the final invoice as they didn't help much.

Tradesman arrived promptly and got on with his work (renewing sealant on bath) quickly. Less than 90 minutes later everything was tidied up and finished. We won’t know for sure how good a job he did until we see how the bath stands up to regular use but the initial signs are all very positive.

Needed a plumber urgently. The one I normally use was not able to get the work done for another 3 weeks. Quick search online lead me to Bluewave. Liked the fact they are local. They managed to get a plumber out to me within a couple of hours and fixed what needed to be fixed. Highly recommend and will definitely use them again as I have rental properties.

I’ve used Bluewave in the past for a few different things. Plumbing, gas, carpentry. All excellent and reasonable priced. This time it was to cap a gas pipe for my mother in law. They came when they said they would and completed the work quickly and to a high order. I’m pleased and more importantly my mother in law is pleased. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Blue Wave were brilliant! I run a pottery painting studio and my kiln broke down. The engineer arrived within half an hour of my call and worked tirelessly to fix it. In the middle of a busy summer season, I was extremely grateful for and impressed by the efficient service. The engineer went above and beyond to ensure that the kiln was fixed in time for the next firing. This is not the first time I have used Blue Wave and I have always been impressed with their service. Serviced my perfectly working boiler & then every 3 days the boiler pressure would drop causing the boiler to fail. Three weeks later Blue wave then returned and charged me to come out and not find the problem telling me to ‘just top up the pressure every few days or fit an automatic boiler pressure filler at great expense. I then found a local plumber who had a look and found the problem in 5 minutes (faulty boiler pressure switch). I spend £300 for bluewave to break my boiler = amateurs. I hear nothing but negative about these from local trades people. A one stop shop for problems avoid like the plague

Installed an Easee one charger for me in my apartment block underground garage. Needed 65 meter of cabling to get to the parking space, but all went off without a hitch. Friendly, efficient and completed on time. Can't say fairer than that.

Very professional. You speak to someone who asks all the right questions to ensure the right person/ team is used. They arrived on time and did the job well. If I had one criticism it is that the invoice gave an hourly rate but wasn’t then clear that here was an additional 20% to pay.

We were having some problems with our toilets and my landlord used Bluewave to fix I’m the issue. I greeted Josh who arrived on time ready to go. Such a polite and lovely guy. Found the problem right away, order the parts while here and fixed the problem so quickly. Super impressed and would defiantly recommend, professional throughout.

I have thought long and hard about leaving a review but the longer time goes on and the more things wrong we find, the more I feel justified in writing this. We had our house rewired, we said that we would fill the chasing in ourselves so save a bit of money, we gave them a plan of what we would like where, we even drew crosses on the walls to show location of plugs/switches etc. The chasing was that bad that they had to come back, there was no way it was deep enough for us to be able to cover and make level, it would have left a raised ridge. They tried to blame the apprentice but clearly they should have been checking his work. Since then we have done more work to our house, we have found old wiring and bits of wiring (clearly during the wiring process), screws, fittings and other packaging dumped under floor boards. Just lazy in my opinion and shows no respect to someones house. All of the light fittings in the ceiling have been moved from their original location, leaving holes to be filled but also and rather blooming stupidly, now puts the light fitting just in plaster and not now screwed into the wooden rafter above as they were before. The bathroom vent was put in poorly, not straight and has had to be moved since. Several of the plugs were not put where we asked them to be put. The work was shoddy at best. Strangely since they completed the job they have never bothered to contact us to see if everything was ok and they have never asked for a review. All businesses know what a positive review can do for a local business, to me that speaks volumes, did they realise what a poor job they had done? I would really recommend you go elsewhere for your electrical work, it cost us thousands and has left us with a lot of things to correct.

Just awful. Invoice was over 20% higher than the estimate before the work was even finished with no explanation of why. If it had been completed probably would have been 30% higher. I expect some give either way in an estimate but maybe 10% tops with a phone call and / or email to explain what is making it cost more and why. I got none of that. When I asked Bluewave to explain I was met with a hard and nasty attitude. I would not recommend at all.

My parent’s house needed rewiring and Bluewave were by far the most economical. They were prompt and extremely hard working. Couldn’t be more happy.

Bluewave have been super helpful doing a lot of work on our lighting both inside and outside. We are about to start a major house renovation project and we are going to use Bluewave for three reasons; the good quality of their work, their next level project management and the professionalism of their guys. I would definitely recommend them.
