Platinum Solar & Battery Solutions installed a full solar PV and battery storage system in our new self-built house. The system includes over 20 solar panels as well as battery storage and an EV charger. Platinum planned the system and then worked together seamlessly with our builders and contractors on the installation, which they completed in time for us to move in. The team is extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions promptly, ensuring we were completely happy with their design before coming on site. Since then, they've maintained the same high level of customer service, helping us to fine tune the system so we get the most out of it. The proof of this is that we recently asked them to come back and increase our battery storage from about 18 kWh to just over 40 kWh, a significant upgrade we're very happy with. They even handled the boring bits (paperwork, obtaining MPANs, etc) efficiently. Thanks to their work, we're now not only making the most of very low night-time tariffs to charge our batteries and EVs, we're even exporting surplus solar power back to our supplier at the higher feed-in rate. Our energy account is now in credit instead of permanently in debit. That's more than impressive for a house powered entirely by electricity.

These Guys are really good. Great collaboration during spec and design, installed and delivered when they said they would and installed to plan. Great after installation support too. 36 panels and 60kwh of batteries so a big system. Its outperforming the specs by about 40% right now. Today the system made 92 kWh.
We recently had a Solar Panel Installation completed by Platinum Electrical Solutions and honestly couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Ours was not a straightforward job at all, the house is Grade II listed, with restrictions from the local authority, and we were really keen to find a solution that was highly functional and efficient but also as discreet as possible. In particular, we didn’t want any panels visible from the front, rear, or sides of the property at ground level. Platinum completely understood this requirement and worked around it brilliantly, resulting in the panels being positioned within the roof gully so they are virtually invisible while still performing exactly as needed. After careful scoping and planning, the end result was an in-roof (recessed) solar panel system with associated battery storage, inverter and EPS (emergency power supply). The system blends in perfectly with the property and respects the historic nature of the building, exactly what we were hoping for. The team were fantastic throughout. They worked to the highest standards, were professional, extremely tidy, courteous, and genuinely respectful of the fact they were working on a listed property. They also helped us navigate some of the restrictions and challenges that come with listed buildings, including ensuring there are no visible cables with most of the cabling run underground, which makes a huge difference aesthetically. The results have been amazing, even considering we’re in winter and solar generation is lower. Our electricity bills have dropped from around £10–£12 a day to under £2 a day, which is incredible. This is a real testament to the initial planning and making sure the battery storage was sized correctly from day one. We are extremely happy with the solution and wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend Platinum Electrical Solutions to anyone considering solar especially if you have a tricky or sensitive property.

I work in residential property management dealing with flat block management. I have been using Platinum for a number of years now as a main contractor of mine and will continue to do so. I speak mostly with Steve but have had some dealings with Tony in the past while Steve has been on leave and both are highly professional and always looking to help.
