Reviewers of C.G Electrical Services describe Charlie as friendly, knowledgeable and professional, with several saying they would recommend him or use him again. Repeated points include turning up when arranged, cleaning up after work and explaining the job as it went on. One reviewer reported a full rewire of an old farmhouse, another a consumer unit renewal and thorough EICR, and another an EV charger install that was left working and tidy. One reviewer said Charlie sorted out shoddy workmanship from others in their bungalow and stayed late so they had power. No reviewer reported a negative experience.
Fantastic service and job completed installing my EV charger. Charlie is friendly and professional, fully explained prior and during the job what he was doing. Communications were responded to speedily, and plenty of free advice before I purchased the charger. Rates were very reasonable, arrived on time, completed the job within the estimated time. Very neat and tidy even hoovered the garage. Ensured everything was up and running as it should be and car would charge ok. Excellent service from a great guy, would highly recommend and definitely use again. Many thanks Charlie.
Charlie is one of the most committed and hard working, knowledgable and genuine electricians you could ever wish to meet. I live almost an hour away from Charlie. He was at my neighbours house as he is linked to a trader who was doing a big project on their house. I asked for quite a days work and when we were looking for a fuse switch box in my conservatory he thought it would be behind my washing machine, once we tried to move machine he noticed my kitchen cupboards were held together by one 5mm screw which he then chose to add ‘L’ brackets to my units purely out of professional courtesy. I’ve had work done at my house. He is by a country like the best trade person I’ve had to do work at my place. Lastly the work I’d asked for was to add 3 tv brackets and TVs (1 being a 65’’ and 2 40’’ below) and add 3 plug sockets. Also to add a tv socket bracket and tv in my conservatory. Upstairs I asked for my tower rail to be raised and change and amend light cord switches to my bathroom. Absolute pleasure to chat with, made more than an effort to tidy up hoover up. All TV areas and work was more than tidy and accurate. Very trustworthy individual and has my full respect and I will only talk positively about the quality of work and tasks he completed. Thank you Charlie and I look forward to seeing you again for next years project.
Charlie has just completed a full install of electrics and related technology for remote operation of lights and other devices to our new outdoor pavillion. He has been super professional throughout, from initially listening to our needs, finding solutions and seeing everything through from start to finish, including helping us to understand the supporting technology. Charlie was also very understanding of our tight time frame and did his utmost to meet our deadlines. So without hesitation, we highly recommend Charlie for his skill, professionalism and personal approach 👌. S. Dix & K Hinchley
Excellent service. Thanks Charlie.
Charlie was excellent for the work we needed. He gave a great recommendation on fitting a different type of fan in the bathroom which is more effective, he was on time, clean and tidy. Work all looks great and very reasonable price.
Charlie came out as soon as requested did an excellent timely job at a reasonable price and was considerate and left us in good order
Charlie has completed several jobs for us over many years and his work is of a very high standard. He is friendly and explains what he is doing throughout the process. Every detail is covered and he is happy to discuss ideas and solutions to problems. Highly recommended!
Would highly recommend C H Electrical Services. Charlie is very hardworking, his work is spot on. He had a nightmare with the electrics in my bungalow, tidying up and replacing shoddy workmanship, often staying late just so as we had some power until the next day. He never leaves before he’s cleaned up any mess created while working. I will definitely be using his services in the future
Turns up when he says be will, does an excellent professional job, cleans up as he goes along and reasonable prices, what more can you ask for. An excellent tradesman, will definitely use again.
Excellent professional caring engineer. A craftsman
Charlie is a super electrician, he has very high standards and we know safety is his priority. Very friendly, polite, tidy and full of ideas to make things better. We have used Charlie many many times over the last 5 years and would highly recommend his services.
Charlie has done a full re wire to our old farmhouse, replacing the old 60’s wiring sensitively and professionally. He only has one way of doing things - the right way. Cannot recommend him enough.
Charlie was recommended to me. New person to the area needed a professional electrician to check the house and garage over. Charlie turned up on time and never stopped from 9to5. The certificates you need with binding regs now are phenomenal, audited paper trail is a must. Charlie’s ethics to work is first rate 5star. I would have no hesitation to recommend Charlie. His price and certification and paperwork are spot on. He will be my “Go Too” sparks in the future

Very reliable, committed, professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Excellent service, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and reasonably priced. Can’t recommend Charlie highly enough.
An excellent electrician, thorough, efficient, reliable and friendly. It has been such a relief to find Charlie. He identified many issues during his safety check when we bought our old cottage, including poor earthing and has been on hand when I needed to deal with UK Power Network. He has made time for us when our electric boiler failed last winter as he didn't want to leave us cold even though he was extremely busy. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Excellent electrician. Prompt, competent and good price. Highly recommend.
Not so much as a place as a friendly electrician 😊
High standard works at reasonable price.
Charlie is an incredibly professional, thorough and safety-oriented electrician. He thoroughly tested the electrical system in our house and immediately rectified various issues with care even working into the night to get things completed to a very high standard. He is meticulous, incredibly helpful and clearly has a wealth of experience in his field. He also suggested several great ideas we had not thought of and will be doing more work for us in the future. A great electrician and a thoroughly nice guy!
