Gault Electrical Solutions Ltd

Neil recently installed a new EV charger for me. From start to finish I received a professional service. He: - provided a comprehensive and competitive quote - gave detailed information about the works to be undertaken and the products to be used - kept me informed at each stage of the process and turned up when he said he would - acquired authorisation from SPEN - completed works with minimal fuss or disruption and left work areas tidy - provided me with certification of work - set up and explained how to use the charger, offering to come back when my EV actually arrives, if necessary - promptly acknowledged receipt of payment, which I found to be reassuring and appreciated very much. Overall I am very happy with the service provided by Neil and would not hesitate to contact him again for any future electrical work.

This is a slightly different kind of review. We recently held the Alva Glen Illuminations and its fair to say that without Neil they wouldn't have happened. He did paid work on the installation before the event and volunteered his time on the day. His workmanship was first class and his knowledge and persistence on the day were invaluable. Thanks for your help Neil from all of us

Fitted an EV home charger unit requiring 50m of cabling from house and quite awkward instalation. Job was done very well with prompt arrival, and full day to complete without any issues. All work done very neatly and to a high standard too. Neil has been clear and polite throughout so it's been easy with regard to any communications of changes or question's etc.

After doing some shopping around and looking at reviews. I got Neil round for a quote. His knowledge was evident from the beginning with regards to EV chargers and official commissioning via Scottish Power. Quote was cheaper than others by a little so showed it to be a fair price as well. Deposit paid and work commenced a couple of weeks later. Arrived promptly and completed a very tidy install. Neil will be my go to electrician from now on.

Just had an Ohme Home Charger fitted by Gault Electrical based in Alloa. Neil was very helpful from the first initial contact, he explained fully what the process was and what role he would play. He arranged the whole process including an updated input supply from Scottish Power (this part was free), and the purchase of an Ohme Home Pro charger. A very knowledgable electrician who paid attention to deatil, answered all of my questions and took plenty of time on the phone to ensure I knew what was involved, he also encouraged me to seek other quotes, which I did. The other companies were fine but did not provide the same customer service and level of detail in relation to the quote. On the day of fitting he explained the process and carried out the work to a high standard, he explained all the work that was carried out and ensured i also inspected it to make sure i was happy. He assited with the setting up of the app's to control the charger and carried out a test charge on my vehicle. My home was left clean and tidy after he finished Overall I am extremley happy with his service, highly knowledgeable and very professional. I would recommend Gault Electrical if you in in the market for an EV Charger or indeed any electrical work.

Got back to me quickly, turned up when they said they would, explained clearly what work was needed, and did a nice neat job. Excellent service, thank you!

Top class service from Neil and his team. From his first visit to peruse the site and job, to honest and speedy communications about the requirements, arrived on time with his apprentice, and worked speedily, and efficiently, tidying up after they completed. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Neil.

Carried out installation of EV charger at short notice. Tidy, professional job. Would recommend and certainly call again for any future work.

Neil did an excellent job installing our EV charger and quality of work was first class.

Professional service 👌 👏

Had Neil out to do an EICR check on our house and was completely satisfied with the service. After getting a few quotes from local electricians, I found Neil gave a fair price and had good availability for our needs. What I was most happy about was Neil's communication. Every question answered and nothing was a bother. Very prompt and did exactly as he said he would. Would definitely consider for any other electrical work 👍

No reply to 2 emails and a phone call after 3 weeks so unable to recommend sadly

Great service, came out and fixed my issue the day that I contacted them! Really professional and friendly, would definitely recommend.

First class service, would definitely use again

We had lost power to our garage after a burst pipe, and Neil came to investigate the problem within a short time of being called. He was very friendly and professional, and managed to identify the underlying problem quickly, leading to a restoration of power with far less disruption than we had feared. We also learned more about how our electrical power supply is arranged at our property, so overall we received excellent service from Neil, and would highly recommend him if you need electrical work done.

The electrician came out to quote when he said he would, provided advice and options for an external power source and to install permanent outdoor lights. He provided a quote for works and we agreed a date for the works to be done. Communication was good and he turned up on the agreed date. Works were completed as requested and everything was left tidy. The lights have been up a couple of days and look good. Overall a very good service with no negatives.

Neil came out same day found the fault sorted a temp fix till he can come and do the job would highly recomment

Had external sockets installed. Great service. Will use again. Thanks

Neil came in carried out all work required fast and professionally. Tidied up after completion! Vert clean efficient and polite. Highly recommend and will definitely use for future work.

A 5-star experience from start to finish! Neil sourced the best value, best quality LED lighting for our Wild Sauna. His workmanship is second to none and he kept me informed throughout the installation. Neil also resolved a long-standing issue with the lighting in our living room quickly and professionally. Would highly recommend Gault Electrical Solutions Ltd. for all your electrical needs! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Prompt ,friendly service ... Resolved a long standing problem swiftly and can be recommended

Neil has completed a number of electrical works for me and nothing is too much bother. He is reliable, has a good standard of work and has very reasonable rates. I would recommend Neil to anyone needing any electrical work.

Neil installed a new heating system for us and we are highly delighted with his work. He was very helpful, punctual, tidy and a joy to have working in our home. He did a first class job and we would highly recommend Gault Electrical.

Had Neil from Gault Electical Solutions at my house to fit a new fuseboard and install an outside socket. Great workmanship, and a very tidy worker. Also, an extremely honest guy. Neil came up with another solution for my outside socket, which in turn cost me less money. Over and above the work Neil carried out, he even put up my new pergola lights, which was very much appreciated. I would very highly recommend contacting Neil if you have any electrical work.

I had Neil carry out an EICR on my older property as I wasn't sure about the condition or history of the electrics. He identified a couple of minor issues and provided straightforward, practical solutions to bring everything up to standard. He also tested and made some updates to the smoke alarm system to ensure it met current regulations. Neil was really friendly, professional, and explained everything clearly without any jargon. Would definitely recommend him for anyone needing reliable electrical work.

Neil was recommended to me by the electrician who rewired my house a few years ago, as he was unavailable. Neil was helpful and professional, responding quickly to fix my problem. Communication was good at all times. Neil turned up on time and disruption was kept to a minimum. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Neil again.

Neil installed a new solar inverter and attic led lighting for me. Would recommend his services. Turned up on time and did what he said he would to a high standard, while remaining friendly and professional. Would use again. Support local business.

Very professional, excellent communication and explanation of the fault and how it will be resolved. Repair completed quickly and efficiently while obviously taking pride in his work, the area was left spotless during and afterwards. I highly recommend Neil for any electrical issues you may have.

Neil fitted my pair of 3-spur living room ceiling lights 3 years ago and I needed to change 2 bulbs. I couldn't figure out how to remove the long narrow shades to get access to the bulbs. Neil asked for a photo which I sent and said that type is likely to be an Allen key and indeed it was, via two hard to see grub screws on top of the shades. Thanks Neil for an excellent service once again for going out of your way to help. That's the kind of service you get when using Gault Electrical Soutions Ltd. Highly Recommended.

I had my house rewired and I am very happy. Neil turned up when he said and provided daily updates on the progress of the work. The work was done efficiently and to a good standard. Thank you.

Excellent service! Replaced external kitchen fan and created new switch for it - works perfectly! Always prompt and does an excellent job. Would certainly recommend Gault to everyone!

Highly recommended for any electrical work. Neil came out exactly when he said he would and carried out the jobs perfectly with no mess for me to tidy up. Very pleased with the work he done.

Neil was very professional and done exactly what I asked for. Defo recommend trust worthy and family man. Thanks again 💙

Neil done an amazing job doing the electrics in our kitchen. Would highly recommend him, he was always on time and very professional. .

Neil recently fitted a more powerful extractor fan in our bathroom. From arriving on time for the initial site visit to undertaking the work in a professional, quietly efficient manner, Neil provided a first class service that is excellent value.

Really great service, called to get a electrical check done and a quick appointment was made. Neil turned up on time and complete the check in no time at all. Really friendly service and excellent value compared to bigger companies. Will definitely be using again in the future and recommending to friends and family.

Excellent - From all communication to turning up (which is a problem in this area), to all work carried out - Neil has been consistently friendly, professional, knowledgeable and gets the job done. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Neil Gault electrical. He arrived on time gave excellent advice and was able to do the work at my convenience. Answered all my questions and I would definitely contact him for any future work.

We had Neil do several jobs for us and we are very happy to recommend him. Firstly he comes to have a look at the job and explains what he's going to do. Then he sends a quote and a start date. Neil arrives on time and gets on with the job. He is an absolute professional. He is thorough, tidy and trustworthy. He purchases good quality materials for the work and does an excellent job. He leaves the workspace clean and respects our home. He is registered and fully insured. Wholeheartedly recommend Gault Electrical Solutions Ltd.

Very impressed with the quick service.

I recently had Neil Gault, come out to inspect the electrical systems in my home, and I am beyond impressed with their service. From the moment Neil arrived, I could tell I was in good hands. He was punctual, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Neil, took the time to do a thorough check, carefully explaining each step as they went along and patiently answering all of my questions. He identified a few potential issues, explained my options, and provided honest recommendations. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, reliable electrician to inspect your electrics, I can’t recommend Neil Gault enough. Excellent service.

Can't recommend Gault Electrician highly enough. Very knowledgeable and professional but explained issues to a novice well! Great communication throughout and reliable. Definitely use again.

I've known and worked beside Neil for a number of years now and can't recommend him enough! Genuinely a great guy and also the most knowledgeable electrician I know. Trustworthy ✅️ Time keeping ✅️ Workmanship ✅️ Knowledge ✅️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First class service from Neil and his team. He's thorough, provides certification for all work he does and is very tidy and professional

Contacted Neil for an important job in my kitchen. No hesitation, took on the work, turned out on time and finished the work quickly and efficiently. No mess, no fuss, told me exactly what he was doing to fix the problem. He’s very professional, personable and communicative. I would highly recommend him to you

Carried out work to a professional standard, arrived on time and I would certainly use this company again

Great Service, very happy with all the work and the price. Neil was extremely professional and was on time and arrived when he said he would. Would definitely use Gault Electrical again in future.

Neil and his team took on the task of the full electrical installation of my newbuild property. This entailed the installation of over 3km of cabling, 100+lights, various sockets and other devices as this was also being wired as a smart home (control 4) and also involved all that this entails (I.e incorporating control panels etc. Nothing was too much trouble for Neil and the team and they were always on hand to provide advice and recommendations based on their previous experiences. Neil went above and beyond at times, going back through old photos to remember where hidden control wires were located and helping me to relocate some control wires (these were installed by others) and helping resolve an issue where joiners had nailed though a cable he came up with an innovative solution to the problem. I would recommend Neil Gault electricians to anyone embarking on a similar project, but they can equally take on smaller jobs as Neil has done for me since the main project was commpleted.

Neil gave a first impression of being extremely well organised with his booking system. When he arrived, he turned out to be a really nice guy, well mannered and polite. He fitted lights outside our house and did a small repair to our shower. I would highly recommend him.

Excellent service, now also working in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway. Really happy with communication, price, commitment to really do a good job, attention to detail; couldn't ask for better! Very happy and impressed with this business.

This guy is fantastic, had no power to my oven, called and left a message in morning, he phoned me back a couple of hours later as he was on a job and arrived 5 minutes later, and fixed the issue very quickly. He was honest and friendly, extremely reasonably priced and I'll be recommending him to everyone I know, thank you so much

Thank you very much to Neil for his help. No sockets were working and within seconds over the phone, after I sent him pictures, he talked me through how to sort the issue. I will definitely call him for any electrical work in the future.

Neil installed some fire and heat alarms in a house we'd recently moved into and removed the old wired-in smoke alarms. He gave really helpful advice, was great on communication, and really happy with all work done. Would definitely use again 🙂

Moved in to our New build property in May and got Neil to do all our electric work - Neil put spotlights throughout our house and recommended we use a specific type of spotlight so we can alter the type of light for each room - brighter in the kitchen, warmer in the bedroom etc which we absolutely love and adds a more homely feel throughout the house. We also wanted hanging pendent lights above our bedside tables in our bedroom. Neil was able to connect these wirelessly to clickers, meaning we didn’t need to have any sockets on the panelling behind our bed. This was something Neil also recommended that we didn’t even know was possible. Couldn’t recommend Neil enough for the work he’s done and can’t wait to get him back for what we have planned in the future! Great guy & great service.

Had Neil with Gault electrical solutions come to do a full rewire, new heaters and lights; things are looking terrific! I would heartily recommend them for their diligence, friendliness and ability.

First class service from quote to job completion. Prompt service and great communication throughout. A pleasure to do business with. Will have no hesitation to use again, and no hesitation to recommend Gault Electrical to anyone else.

Very pleasant to deal with, very friendly and honest. Will definitely be my go to for future work

Gault Electrical are a fantastic company to deal with. They came out exactly when promised and are very professional. They identified and fixed a major issue within our circuit box in next to no time and seriously saved a major house fire risk that we had been left with. I would trust and recommend Gault Electrical to anyone and we will only go through them for any Electrical work we need. True Life Savers !!

Professional in every respect, from first contact to installation, clean up and final bill. Neil is someone you can trust to look after your property the same as you would do yourself. For example we ordered an outdoor lamp that Neil also installed at another property. Because he wasn't happy with the quality he swapped both ours and the other person's lamps for something better. We are delighted with the outdoor lighting, and with our new lights in the kitchen. Would highly recommend.

Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide installation - great price, excellent service and job done as arranged. I will use them for other electrical work when needed - without hesitation.

I had a number of light fittings, sockets and switches replaced by Gault Electrical. Excellent service from Neil throughout. From my initial enquiry he responded immediatley to arrange a visit to quote for the job and then quickly provided a resonable estimate for the work. He then turned up on time on the scheduled date and completed all work efficiently to a high standard. Highly recommended.

We're very happy with the work that Neil has done at our house. We've had downlights fitted all over, and they look great--we're really loving them!-- and Neil took care to place them at the most convenient spots in the ceiling for lighting purposes (taking into account the constraints by the beams). He encountered some handicaps on the go: a lot more beams than usual on the first floor ceiling, which meant more work for him to get all the cables through, and hence a delay in his own schedule. He was happy to work until late on a Friday and then most of the Sunday (!) so he could finish everything within the same booking. We appreciated this a lot (thank you!), as it means we can now focus on the redecoration part with all the fitting-phase being completed. He also did a couple of extra things (fitted a new security light in the garden, new kitchen panel, upgraded a couple of things in the fuseboard, dimmer switch) and all good. To cut it short: he works very efficiently and professionally, and takes into account the customers' needs and perspective. Very happy indeed.

Great service and really professional job. Neil communicated at all stages from quote to completion. Highly recommended

The first comment I have to make is that Neil (Gault Electrical Solutions) restored my faith in tradesmen! His communication from the moment I met him whilst he was working at a neighbour's house, to discussing my requirements over the phone, to confirming an appointment in his diary with me by e mail, to reconfirming the appointment the night before to arriving ON TIME on the appointed day was excellent. This all reassured me that I was going to receive a quality service from a very professional, customer focussed electrician. I was so pleased with the work and service that I received from Neil that I have now asked him to carry out another electrical upgrade within my house. I hope I don't overload Neil (Gault Electrical Solutions) with work when I say that I would highly recommend him for any electrical work

Neil and his apprentice Dylan did a great job wiring our new extension, very friendly and a professional job done, would highly recommend this company.

Having had work done by Neil before I knew I would get a good job done when needing my Hive heating installed. Great communication, excellent quote and superb work done. I would highly recommend this guy 👍

Reliable tradesperson. Carried out work to professional standard.

Niel did a great job of installing new panel heaters for me. He was quick to respond, turned up on time and did a great job with great attention to detail. I am very pleased with the service he provided and will be using again.

Gave neil a call 2day and he helped out no questions asked great service and highly recommended 👍

Attended to extractor fan issue. Great service. Fast, efficient and very fairly priced. No hesitation in recommending and will use for any further electrical needs in future.

3 outside motion activated floodlights fitted. I requested these to be fitted urgently. Very impressed. I have since used Gault Electrical to fit an outside socket and carry out an electrical test. He found that the main cable coming into my house was not properly earthed. This was Scottish Powers responsibility but he organised the repair (Scottish Power did for free) then came back to carry out his checks. Very professional report. A few other jobs to complete which hopefully Gault Electrical will be able to do.

We had an issue with our trip switch keep tripping. Gave them a call, Neil arrived within an hour. Turns out we had a faulty tumbledryer and loose wiring. Which could have led to a fire. Would be happy to recommend

Top job and a professional high standard as always! Cannot reccommed Neil highly enough!

Excellent service provided and a great job done with very little notice! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Neil for any electrical work needed! 👍🏼

absolutely first class service ,very knowledgeable, competent 100% reliable, can't thank you enough! until the next job - highly recommended to all
