I would highly recommend JT Jarvis. They recently fixed an issue with my garden lights that had been tripping for over a year. They were incredibly patient and took their time thoroughly investigating the fault rather than rushing the job. Eventually, they identified the issue and resolved it properly. On the same day, they also installed our kitchen chandelier, which was done perfectly. I’ve been using JT Jarvis for years, ever since my first apartment, and they have always been reliable, professional, and trustworthy. It’s rare to find contractors with this level of consistency and care. Highly recommended.

An excellent company to deal with. Helen in the office is very friendly and efficient. She took my call on a weekend evening when I would have expected to have had to leave a voicemail. James is a friendly knowledgeable electrician who listened to my requirements and carried out the work on the agreed date and at the agreed cost. He was being shadowed by his young apprentice and was passing on his skills and knowledge as they did the work. Comprehensive paperwork was provided in a timely manner for all of the work carried out. I'm very pleased to have chosen this company and would recommend them.

I contacted Jarvis & Son for some small electrical jobs (replacing some light fittings & an alarm bell box) simply because of their excellent reviews online. I wasn't disappointed. They proved to be reliable, conscientious and reasonably priced. The work was completed quickly with no problems and I was very satisfied with both their standards of workmanship and their customer service. I won't hesitate to contact them again for any future work, and I'd happily recommend them to anyone who needs an electrician.

Having never used this company before, I’m so glad I found them. John & James came out, check the viability of my electric-supply & immediately told me there was absolutely nothing wrong (contrary to what I was constantly being told & the multitude of structural work I’d need done for our boiler to function) From the very start, they were patient, thorough & incredibly professional, and even though the issue turned out not to be electrical, they went the extra mile by writing to my boiler company which ultimately helped me get the problem resolved. Helen was incredibly attentive and compassionate. She listened carefully to my concerns and made me feel heard and supported every step of the way. I am now facing the winter season without financial or safety concerns. I highly recommend JT Jarvis & Sons for their great service - a team that really cares.

John and James fitted some new under cupboard lights in the kitchen and then went on to replace down lighters in the bathroom. It’s wonderful to have people who know what they are doing and also able to give advise about what would best fit the areas we were not sure off. Always professional and areas left clean and tidy. We had a new socket fitted and sunk into wall, John and James found a solution to a problem with a light fitting in the kitchen. Everything left neat and tidy and looks great. Replaced a cooked hood and repaired a faulty light fitting. The workmen were polite, well-mannered and on time. Standard of work was very high, cannot fault it. Have no hesitation in using again or recommending to anyone.

Repaired the cooker hood which wasn't working at all, replaced a broken fixing on the filter cover, and replaced the front door bell. Excellent service at reasonable cost. Workmen were polite and friendly, and arrived at expected time.

I've had no power to my kitchen lights and was told by another electrician I'd need a rewire to restore the power John came to my house asked me to buy the new light fittings and he would come back to assess what could be the problem, John came back with his boy's and within no time the lights were up in the kitchen and back on after sorting things out, the previous electrician caused the problem and John's boys soon got the power back to the kitchen if I could give 10 stars I would thank you all

I Got into a mess puting a new light fitting up, i phoned jt jarvis and they were here within 40mins. Absolutly brilliant verry fast did a great job and even talked me through what had happened an how you would fix it as he was doing it. We used J T Jarvis & Son for the installation of three light fittings and to mount our 65in TV onto the wall, as well as channel the cables through the wall. We were very pleased with the work from start to finish, from Helen's efficiency with organising the call out and quote, through to John and Paul's installation and general well-mannered approach. I have only great things to say about this company and their amazing staff. My partner and I are over the moon with the work carried out in our home. There was a delay due to lockdown and totally unavoidable, the speed at which it was completed following lifting of this was fantastic and both lads are really exceptional in their approach to both the work and customer interaction. This is the second, and much larger piece of work they've done and we're now commissioning more. They are a credit to the industry and company, Geoff and co, and I would highly recommend.

This is a long standing family business. They have done a number of jobs for me in the last few years. The work is high quality, everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. Last night 23/12/19 I found a security light they fitted for me earlier this year was not working. I sent an email last night to explain, not expecting to get response until after Christmas. I got a phone call from them this morning at 9 am. They had read my email and understood the difficulty I would have in not having the light working. They said although they had a skeleton staff on as it is Christmas Eve, that someone would come out this morning. By 10 am, they had arrived, identified the problem and fitted a new light. I cannot express my gratitude for the service. This is going above and beyond. I highly recommend this company. It is important that we all support good family businesses like this.

I had my ceiling pull switch done by J T Jarvis & Son Ltd recently. Old pull switch had burnt-out. Staff arrived on time. He cut out the burnt wires and pull out the new ones and refitted the new pull switch provided. Job done very quickly, nice and neat. Good knowledge in safety as he on and off checking the main board switches and pull switch. Reasonable price and definitely recommends this company to other people. Thanks!

We needed some extensive rewiring. Our cottage is old and the electrics were in a real state. Three other contractors didn’t even want to touch the job because the extent of the work couldn’t really be assessed without actually getting stuck in. This is where the professionalism and years of experience of JT Jarvis & Son came into play. With a meticulous, methodical approach the guys worked their way through to completion. At all times they endeavoured to minimise cost and disruption. Where we had been warned by others that floorboards an ceilings would have to be ripped up, the chaps took a considered approach and did the work to the highest standards with minimum disruption. I have no doubt that less scrupulous contractors might well have let the costs spiral out of control. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. If you want work carried out to the highest standards, whilst keeping a keen eye on budget these are the people you need to speak to. Highly professional, thoroughly reliable and trustworthy.

A couple of weeks ago, all the electrics went out in my house, so I called J T Jarvis. Their electricians were with us within half an hour and they solved the problem quickly. Everyone I have dealt with at the company, from the electricians who came out, to the staff in the office, have been extremely helpful, friendly and professional, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I my late wife & I have called on the services of JTJarvis for many years for both the supply & repair of our domestic household appliances & for our house repairs & servicing. Throughout the years we have always considered them to be our electrical experts in every way & would never dream of trusting anyone else. I have recently had to call on them to use all their skills, to put right, the very worrying problem of my having all household plug sockets repeatedly & unexpectedly to cut out causeing the consumer unit to have to be re-set. This the company directors & employees have attended to with the utmost diligence & in my case, being over 82 years, the utmost sympathy & understanding. As to both Geoff & Paul the electrician's who attended I really cannot speak more highly of them. A more professional, respectful, trustworthy, friendly & reliable service from them both would be impossible to find.
