Doesn’t even deserve 1 star absolutely appalling service avoid at all costs

Considering you are “committed to getting people home safely” you should probably consider how you represent your company when driving a van with it advertised across! Complete lack of care while driving so how can you be trusted to do anything else with the appropriate care? Will definitely be discouraging friends and family from your company 👍🏼

Had a renovation done, with the housing and these cowboys totally messed up multiple times, still getting them back to finish jobs that they messed up, peeling paint work, bad plaster job, bathroom not sealed, sink not secure, flooring torn ,plug sockets not secure , and apparently we should be greatful has its for free,,,no it's not for free,would not choose these if I had the choice.

This company absolutely disgraceful painting when hailstoning missing half of pvc window frames out plus other pvc not painting all drainpipes got paint on my artificial grass wold not recommend this company at all not happy missed my porch way out!!! Not happy

I would not recommend Connolly Ltd based on my experience. Following a bathroom renovation carried out by their team, I’ve had ongoing issues that have still not been properly resolved months later. The paint throughout the entire bathroom (walls to ceiling) began peeling and cracking shortly after the work was completed, suggesting incorrect materials were used for a bathroom environment. What’s been even more frustrating is the lack of communication and reliability: Multiple appointments arranged where no one showed up Long delays in responses and constant chasing required Promises of follow-up work with no action taken Issues “fixed” only to return again I’ve taken time off work to wait in for contractors who never arrived, and I’m still left with a bathroom in poor condition. This has been an ongoing issue with no proper resolution, and I feel completely ignored as a tenant. I am now escalating this through Great Places Housing due to the lack of accountability from Connolly Ltd. Very disappointing service and workmanship.

Hello We have just had our bathroom refitted. It was privilege and honour having Connolly s staff doing it again. All staff from Gary right down to Steve who collects all the rubbish were brilliant. Very friendly and helpful. I must say that Jack the finisher goes above and beyond. He makes sure everything is ok before he leaves explain all what's happening. Please will you thank all of them. Window fitters broke the kitchen sink and the worktop. Did a make safe, no dust sheets and hidden underneath the mess was an ox heavy duty sheffield steel blade. Extremely dangerous health and safety issue. I have made a formal complaint. Only gave one star as i cannot give no stars as no option to do it..

If this company had no contracts with Housing Associations, then they would be dissolved. The upgrading of our property has just seriously downgraded it. If I was planning on buying my rented property, Connellys would of done me a favour and I would of had a substantial reduction in valuation. As it stands Connollys have completed their work, and left my property as the photos show. No respect for peoples homes, their belongings or even their safety. Unskilled labourers, unprofessional work. Show your landlord, this is your hindsight ...

Absolute joke of a company. Had a new bathroom fitted and they've made it worse than it was before! Contractors never turning up. Took time off work, to be sat around waiting and nobody came. All work was suppose to be completed in 10 days. Over a month it took and we are having issues. Paint of the ceiling is peeling off in the bathroom. Fan doesn't work. And we have a great big hole in downstairs toilet that they were suppose to be coming back filling and that was 3 weeks ago. Shocking communication as well. Messages read but never responded to.

I live in a block of flats and we are currently having all our windows replaced. I wasn't looking forward to the upheaval and mess but I needn't have worried! Mark and Kas came to replace mine and I told them my worries, especially about my very light grey carpet being marked. They reassured me that my flat would be left as they found it. Fuelled by the odd coffee and some light banter, they cracked on and had the job done in half the time that I expected. They tidied up after themselves and I was extremely pleased with the finished result. They were lovely hard working lads and I highly recommend them.

Had a new kitchen fitted There electricians replaced the wiring and a new consumer unit. They never checked it to see if it was ok We had a annual checkup and they found out we had no negative or earth on the kitchen ring . Don't trust this company they use contractors who leave your house unsafe

Only leaving one star as I can't leave none. No job was done well every work man had to come back, even the electrician broke my kitchen light and the job was never finished just left it, if you want a bunch of cowboys use these.

I have just had my new windows + doors fitted and I wanted to say how pleased I am! I was nervous about the whole thing but Alicia put my mind at ease, reassuring me, and the workmen were very respectful, kind and efficient. They did a fantastic job! I LOVE my new windows + doors and am so pleased at how nicer they make my house look! I can't thank everyone enough for all the improvements and care + consideration all through the process, I still have more things to be done but I am not worrying about it cos I know it will be fine and done with the utmost care. Thank u guys, for a brill job!

Connolly have just finished a new bathroom and kitchen for me, to say I'm happy is an understatement. Everyone from the team leaders to the guys on the ground have been excellent. Communication was great as I work so left them to it, nice updates on what's happening. Each day cleaned up after themselves and I'm now very proud of my little flat where as before I wanted to move, I am enjoying all rooms especially my glorious shower. Unprofessional. Playing very loud music all day. There is silicone on the carpets from the window install. Window frames are dented from being hammered into the gap.

Ok so I wasn’t going to write this because I’m not one to complain on line but my god what iv encountered today with Alicia the site manager I still can’t wrap my head around. Il start from the beginning so iv been caring for my terminally ill father for just over a year now I also have 4 children and a house to run so I can be busy as you can imagine there has been times i haven’t been available or my head hasn’t been in the right place Alicia does not accept me being busy she will ring your phone out and then even started to bell my cousins phone out and saying that he can be in to let me in. (He has his own house and life so why should he) she litterally try’s to tell you that you must be in so then you feel obligated to agree. Anyway most of the work is done on my proper now apart from the loft hatch and windows. She called me the other day to arrange a time for the Tuesday. I have I now Sadly lost my dad and Tuesday was his funeral so I had to decline then she talked me into the Wednesday. Anyway it got to Wednesday and I just wasn’t in any way prepared for visitors coming in and out of my home having just lost my dad. so my cousin answered the door and explained to the work men who perfectly understood as any other normal person would. About half an hour later I heard a big bang on my door then an even louder bang on my front room window and she wasn’t for leaving. My cousin angrily answered the door and her attitude was disgusting. He told her I’d had the funeral the day before and her reply was “she’s a time waster everyone has lost somebody) im not even joking that’s what she said . He then told her to go away and closed the door she was still stood there he opened it again and rightly so got mad at her she just kept saying I was a time waster and shouting and having attitude. Even if I hadn’t lost my dad it is still unacceptable to bang on somebody window and home in this way and with that attitude and my own front door. How dare she. I don’t want anything to do with her again or this company as long as she works for them. The builders are nice when they come and always do a nice job. But my god what a vile woman. She’s gunna do it to the wrong person one day!

Be Careful with this Company, Dont Complain or they will turn on you!!! The 1st day was Amazing a great guy came in and did a great job, the independent plumber was amazing also the independent tiler and plaster were great and very clean. The day after great again until the all under 25-28yrs old electricians came... I suffer badly wiv C.O.P.D. and have an 8month old baby, so we chose to leave are Home in there great hands 👌 we returned around 3pm to home in a state as expected but our frontroom had layers of dust all over our sons preparation area and equipment and all his toys, clothes, food plus our tables and the hardwood flooring were also absolutely covered in dust! Even though we had let them know in advance about my condition! They told us in advance that they would be helpful and friendly but all iv experienced is argumentative tit for tat when you should really do the jobs (which were done wonderfully, except the initial lies about cleaning, help and friendliness and lying about us) and definitely clean up after there work! I'd like to add we had 2 flooring guys come in and I have to say they were polite, kind, helpful and they have done a Fantastic job, it's the star 🌟 in my New kitchen Thank you to the amazing flooring guys and a Big Thank You from all the family goes to Gary(the site Manager).He goes above and beyond to help and solve any issues fast and effectively. 😀😃

Had work done in my area and have to say to all the lads involved with all aspects of work carried out,where a absolutley brilliant set of lads,communication was amazing and any problems or questions they was always sorted and answered quickly.they all worked hard and need to take some credit and site team where great too! The upgrade has made me love my home!!

I have no idea why Connerlys and their staff have bad reviews, they are working on the estate I live on, and have just fitted new windows all round, and new front and back door, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, new loft hatch, insulated my ginnel wall, rendered the walls, and I'm just waiting for a new ginnel gate. All through the process, I have been kept up to date with everything by Alicia, whos been brilliant, either by text or phone, if I had any questions, they were answered straight away. The lads who did the installations, were all very polite, respectful to my home and property, and always tidied up after themselves at the end of the day. The only problem I had was with one window fitter, who was very intimidating, rude and abusive. The problem was dealt with and I am satisfied with the outcome. Apart from that, I have absolutely no complaints at all about any part of the process at all. I would highly recommend Connerlys to do any work! 5⭐️

Connollys did my windows and doors, groundwork and extractor fans kitchen and bathroom and new insulation, The lads are so polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble and no questions asked. They are a credit to this company and would recommend them to anyone! The site manager Mike is so lovely and Alisha is a credit to the company so professional and lovely. Your all just amazing and can’t thank you all enough thank you carly 🫶🏽

Brilliant can't big the team up enough from the design and planning to the efficient itinerary which we as a large family could plan around the communication was spot on ,we had a kitchen ripout and refit with electric and plumbing upgrade aswell and from the first day to the last all the trades were thoroughly hard working, professional, efficient and happy to help clean and tidy and went the extra mile to help and accommodate us which is so refreshing and a credit to your work force I would definitely recommend these guys you wont be disappointed a massive thanks to all the team Paul

Had my bungalows windows replaced yesterday by Kev and Tom form Connollys and they were brilliant Turned up when they were suppose to, polite guys who do anything thing to help and advise, nothing was too much trouble. There work was high standard and they also clean up after themselves all rubbish was removed with them. I would definitely let them back in again. Well done lads. Definitely 110% from me.

We had a kitchen and downstairs toilet upgrade done by the Wythenshawe kitchen site team and was over the moon with it. Every member of the team, labourers builders, electrians, plumbers, the lot were spot on. With this type of work comes a mess but this team kept on top of it, and every day cleaned up at the end. Every day was scheduled in so my wife and I knew who to expect every day and when. Any small request was done and explained. Thank you to Gareth from Parkway Green, Christine from Connelly,s and Every WORKER that did our job. Still over the moon wit it.

Recently had a kitchen refit from Connollys the gas engineer was so rude, raising his voice in my home at me.....twice!!! Stormed in and out of my home with a very aggressive demeanor. He wasn't at approachable when I wanted to ask him a couple of questions. My washing machine wasn't connected back in properly and he tried yo say it was my machine that it was broke. I said there was nothing wrong with my machine but before I could finish what I was saying I was overpowered by his aggressive and confrontational tone telling me I've just tried turning it on now it doesn't work. He stormed through my lounge to his van when his instructions were to use the back entrance of my house. When he came back he was very aggressive again in his tone and sarcastic asking me " have you actually tried turning it on or just turning the dial" humiliating me in front of other workers that were smirking when he said this. He fixed it but only because I had to challenge him on the fact that it was definitely not my machine and that something must have happened when it was disconnected. He finished walked into my lounge again where I was, raised his voice to me again and said "go and try it for yourself". His aggressive attitude was very unnerving I couldn't say anything I was shocked by his bad attitude. He then raised his voice louder this time and sarcastically said "your welcome". Disgraceful lad and very disrespectful.

Not only do they treat there workers appallingly the way my auntie was dealt with by one of the senior staff was disgusting oh an liam connolly if you see this you owe 350 quid still found my old invoice so I'll be taking you to court v soon

Not sure why they have loads of bad reviews because I couldn’t be anymore happier with my kitchen I absolutely love it, was kept updated with who would be coming into my home and Kerry was very understanding when I would miss the door, all staff member were nice come in and got the job done but I wasn’t very keen on the painters they did a lot of swearing and got paint on my coat but accidents do happen I mentioned this to Lauren and she said they were contractors apart from them over all im very very happy thank yous

1 star is far too much ! Bunch of botchers, amateurs & cowboy builders. Disgusting service . 22/07/2024 Annual Electrical Inspection in my house . 2 guys from Connolly Ltd came 8am . After few hours ,I noticed lights are not working . Before their visit I've had no problems with anything. Everytime I switch off light in the kitchen fuses in main electric board are blown out. This is direct danger to my life , I should feel safer after their visit but I am not. Shocking , absolutely ridiculous. If you have no clue what you doing ,don't pretend to be professional electrician. Informed Wigan Council Housing , was told it is emergency repair but still waiting for someone to fix it. Last year after Connolly has done my Inspection suddenly , 2days after my cooker/oven stopped working. Was ready to buy new one , but we found out cooker is absolutely fine. During electrical checks connolly employee didn't screw cable back properly, as it should be . Again causing direct risk , danger and stress. Awfull. Going to make official complains

Current having a kitchen done, the workers just don't seem to listen, I told the liaison officer, they can use the front garden, they used my backgarden and messed up my utility room, dry plaster on my fridge freezer and washing machine, washing trampled on as I was not aware they would be so rude to do this. Disgraceful. Making a mess everywhere and places that they should not he using!

Friday 8/4/2024 The team @ Connolly done my kitchen for me - & it was hard for them because of my mobility & he’s h & post traumatic stress - I found the team very professional & understanding about my mobility issues & was willing to do anything to help me & make my experience with them stress free -which they did Abby come across very professionally & essay going it felt like she was one of our military family- based brothers- I pick d my kitchen & I am very pleased with the quality & fitting they did in my bungalow- Coucil bungalow- The lads - brother s worked as a team together & got the job done safely & professionally- I like to say as well the planner that made my kitchen plan add it draw out & sent to my email the same day & I could see on his plane s he was busy & in no way I was rushed in any way - I let the team to do there job & they add Access from my back door & never went through my front door to make my life easier for them & me- Me & the team didn’t have much contact - but when we did it was very pleasant to us all - & I new the days they wasn’t there - coming they let me know so I new we’re I was - Anyway they add access anytime because of me being mostly house bound- My I allso say in the weeks I add no kitchen to use because of the work - the head office made sure I add a hot meal - like meals on wheel - so I add a hot meal every day - My military brothers sin this & now - they all-way Be a part of our family - The finish & professional way they preformed the work from start to finish was So stress free & made me humble & honered to meet them & the company doing my Coucil kitchen for me & being a proud council tenant for over 40 years - thank you as well Rochdale council & everyone offering this service to our nab our s tenant s council tenant Thank you to everyone - god bless you all .

poor value everything done on the cheap

Absolute shambles of a company made a mess of the job never finished the job plan dates to attend as they want to do other jobs and dont show up happend on 2 occasions. The work which was carried out to a very poor standard.

Don't clean up after themselves and gets dirt everywhere. They stole something from my flat and broke a few items. Do not trust these guys

The worst company I have ever had the misfortune to encounter! Site wouldn't allow no stars. I would give 10 minus.

Windows done good.

Window Installation, all ok, arrived on time and laid floor protection, They complained that I removed the internal old wooden secondary glazing window frames, which I did when told that it is not part of their works (would have not looked tidy having been left in place) After their inspector coming round and telling me off like a naughty boy, they then agreed to remove the other bedroom old wooden frame. They broke our stairgate, no apology given nor reimbursement for the cost of a replacement gate, The upstairs replacement windows themselves did not have any locks on whatsoever, Our children managed to open the window fully! Serious safety risk!! both the Housing inspector and Connolly inspector did not take my complaint seriously, only that they would enquire about safety locks (did not hear back from either) I called our housing association and within a couple of hours a contractor came and fitted child safety locks! I understand that the windows are a means of escape! I shall be watching these closely when it comes to the rewire and kitchen replacement! I shall be back to edit review once work completed!

Need I say more. Zero stars would have been given if able to. Patronising people with plenty to say but zero organisation. I had to supply some materials myself to cover furniture. When I asked for this to be re inbursed I felt treated as a lyerThey have left my loft area not finished. Their words count for nothing sadly.

The photos show unfinished work which still is not finished - The protective layer they put on my floors has stuck so long it’s not coming off it’s been the worst experience i’ve ever had with a company resulting in extreme financial hardship through their neglect and incompetence

unreliable, dont do what they promise, dont lock up securley take a rediculous amount of time to do work, told it would be 10/12 days - 6 weeks - still unfinished

Worst site management ever! Weeks of delay, lack of communication, poor quality... Total incompetence - Avoid! Connolly have been hired by One Manchester housing association to do kitchen refurbishment project. In multiple apartments at the same time they supposed to do full refurb. Project envisaged 3 weeks of works. Now it has been almost 5 weeks and our kitchens are still unusable! Absolute lack of communication, not answering calls, not replying to messages or days of delays - Who ever is responsible for managing this project is doing terrible, unprofessional job and having a laugh...

Problems from start to finish avoid this company is a joke and still haven't come back to fix what they broke

AVOID THIS FIRM/COMPANY LIKE A PLAGUE!!! Not a company/firm I would recommend to anyone due to the bad experience. I recently had with them. Personally belongs were stolen by staff members of the firm doing work at my house and they also invaded personal spaces, they were not doing work in. A company of unscrupulous people that are MASTER THIEVES instead of focusing on the work they are constructed to do they invaded my private and personal spaces which do not form a part of their job spec/scope and stole almost £200,000 worth of jewellery, bags and clothing. What pains me the most is that the police won’t even help put them behind bars to avoid them from doing the same thing to other people. Every single day I keep noticing that something else was stolen, they have caused me nothing but pain and they should be stopped. I would not recommend them at all, due to the criminal activities they are clearly contracted to do which puts home owners and tenants at risks. Both in personal health and safety matters. Take heed, and avoid this company completely. I will make sure that I expose them on every media platform.

Avoid Avoid Avoid ! we had a new kitchen installed several months ago what should of took 10 to 12 days took several months and was done to a very poor standard the management where very disorganised tradesmen would arange a date to come then not turn up and much of the time turned up when they felt like it i had to get them back over and over in order to get the job to an half decent standard and we are still having problemss now the so called management where very rude caroline in particular even tells lies has no respect for the customers and clearly in the wrong job i can only describe my ordeal with this company as a complete nightmare from start to finish what a set of cowboys 😡😡😡😡

Connolly are currently working on my street. They are the most unprofessional and obnoxious contractor I've ever known. They have cut me up in traffic and blocked the exits and entries of the street unnecessarily. They shout and swear to each other across the estate, ignoring the groups of children walking past to go to school. They have a generally aggressive behaviour. The litter and mess they leave behind is ridiculous. Some of this may be forgivable if they weren't just doing the quickest job possible with everything they touch.

Stole kids toys, if not broke them, and then leaving there equipment laying around aswell, refused to send a liaison to discuss problems... aswell no safely measure was provided on scaffolding,even with stating needed it, and yet next door had on but we never.

They dont listen and dont care, they are not a good company. They dont treat you like a person should be treated and leave you to sort things out yourself at expense. They dont stick to agreements, I feel like making a civil claim against them but only had a verbal agreement not written very disappointed indeed. This company needs an independent audit the work they did in my property is cowboy work.

They've worked on a neighbours house; The men put half their rubbish into my yard, and spat at my feet when I came out to try to talk to them. Hadn't even opened my mouth. Came back to my yard to find even more rubbish & a USED tissue, as if covid doesn't exist. I'm high risk, thanks.

Just wanted to say thank you to Tania and the workmen, who fitted my doors, for an excellent service. They even went the extra mile to retrieve an item that was of sentimental value to me. A special thanks to both of the workmen who took the time and effort to do this for me, much appreciated. The quality of their work was impeccable, leaving my house in the same condition as when they entered. All were polite, friendly and professional. Loving my new doors too!

Absolutely disgusting! Left me with half a kitchen finished and then advised they where not coming back and left me with my house a building site, with a 4yr old! No explanation as to why they where not coming back! They never responded to any of my textes, emails or answered my phone calls. Absolutely disgusting! Now I have to find the money to pay someone else to do it!
