I am very happy with Dorset Electrical Solutions and their work. From the moment I called for some advice, to the completion of the work they carried out, the process went smoothly, their communication was excellent, and their work high quality. Jodie and Nico were thoroughly helpful, Jake, who carried out the work, was a lovely guy who took a lot of care whilst working in our home and made sure we understood how everything worked before he left. I would highly recommend them.

Have had a few jobs completed by these guys. PIV unit was fitted, very clean, efficient installation, was a bit more work than expected to install proper extractor vents too. During this installation it was noted that the previous property owner had done a lot of the electrical fitting quite badly, so the guys came back to make everything safe. A new consumer unit and proper junction boxes fitted as necessary, plus all light fittings required cables trimmed. All done to a high standard. Would recommend.

Highly professional and friendly firm. They were able to schedule in a landlords electrical safety test for me at relatively short notice . They explained fully what they had to do and we’re able to remedy a couple of minor issues at no additional cost.

Dorset Electrical did a whole house re-wire which went well. They were clean and efficient in their work.

My experience of DES is they are prompt and professional. The electricians are polite and respectful. They follow up on any faults and are reasonably priced. I'd recommend them as reliable electricians.

Had a ventilation system fitted in the loft of a dormer bungalow. I’d already decided what I wanted when I filled in their online form so I wasn’t looking for advice or sales - the guy who called me was very nice and direct, quoted me a flat price and then I got an email with a link to a contract website which gave me all of the information I needed. I accepted the quote and someone called back to book the time which was not a long wait - I think from initial contact to complete it was less than a week. The guy fitting arrived at my house early but because someone was home when I got back 20 mins later he’d already put down the drop cloth, inspected the loft and brought everything needed inside. He was very respectful of my home, kept everything very clean, took his time to make sure everything was done properly. He also thoroughly explained how the system works, which settings to use. I don’t think I’ve got any negatives - communication was quick and clear, the price was what they quoted, the work was clean.

I have used Dorset electrical Solutions 3 times now and I wouldnt use anyone else, they are friendly, tidy and more importantly they do a good job.

Really pleased with the work carried out to install 2 x extractors and a PIV unit. The work was much more involved than first thought, and the poor guy was working in our loft on the hottest day of the year! But he returned a second day to finish up and the original price was honoured. A pleasure having you in our home and feeling the benefits of the extractors and PIV as soon as they were turned on!

Following our EICR with Dorset Electrical Services, many faults were found due to our wiring being so old. These issues were identified and remedied without issue at a very reasonable cost. Had a really good experience with DES. Their quote was the more reasonable by far and their lead time shorter. The work they did was done quickly, neatly and to a high standard. The electrician who attended was a lovely guy and clearly very knowledgeable. Only giving 4 stars as there was some miscommunication between the person who quoted for the job and the electrician who attended. This caused a bit of a delay and left me feeling a bit uncertain. BUT all was sorted in the end and I’m really pleased with the work they did.

I wanted a PIV system to help with the condensation issues in my house. The engineer came when expected, was friendly and polite, informative and tidied up well after himself. Everything is working lovely.

DES carried out 3 jobs fitting a PIV unit, bathroom fan extractor and EV charger. From initial request through the website the team quoted through a quick house visit and gave a really good price for the work. Some great advise was also given regarding the PIV unit and condensation issues. All jobs carried out to a high standard and all mess cleaned up straight away. Highly recommend!

I’d read some good reviews about DES and was impressed when the MD came out to inspect our home for installing a PIV system and bathroom and kitchen extractors fans. Jason was friendly and professional, which set the tone for all my dealings with DES. He arrived at lunchtime, and I had a quote for the works by email that same evening. Tina in the office arranged everything with ease and Matt and Kaylem who carried out the work could not have worked harder throughout the day of installation. They took the time to explain what they were going to do, then calmly and quietly just got on an did it. At the end, after cleaning every surface thoroughly, they then spent time testing the equipment and then showed me how it all worked. Smashing guys who did a first-class job with a smile on their faces. I would definitely recommend DES to anyone wanting electrical works.

DES installed 12 panels on the roof and the battery and inverter in my loft. Before going with DES we had a poor experience with a different local company and dreaded starting the process again however, DES were fantastic. Richard in sales was very clear with his explanations and applied no pressure for a sale which just showed confidence in the product, he worked hard getting us a fair price based on other quotes we had and was able to provide detailed pros and cons in comparison to other products including items he was offering. Sam (I believe) the surveyor was very down to earth, knew his stuff and again was understanding to my needs. Richard, Jodie and Brenda in the office was great, very patient and responsive to my silly questions whilst we waited for a DNO application, during the installation and after. Brandon the roofer was fab, he had a bigger job than was expected having to remove and refit the most of my ridge tiles (mostly on his own) it was a very tidy job and kept me updated throughout. Electricians were both clearly experts in the field, very knowledgeable, tidy happy to help and able to explain the details of the program. My only negative is the time it took to install (12 weeks) however, this was due to the DNO application process so has not effected their rating. Thank you all for your hard work, patience and professionalism.

Supply and fit for a Nuair PIV system. Really quick response, fair price and great workmanship. The fitter was also very knowledgeable.

Replacement Solis Inverter for Solar Panel system. DES came through with the most cost effective quote and scheduled the job for 5 days later. Engineer arrived promptly, worked efficiently and resolved problems when replacing old inverter. Very professional service! Thank you.

Had an PIV installed in loft with output in hallway. Engineer was excellent and very helpful. He worked really well and the work he did looks very professional. We discussed location of isolator switch and engineer was happy to meet our requirements. Would recommend for both quality and price.

Called to make an appointment to fit new LED lights in kitchen and bathrooms and to fit under cupboard lights which we had purchased beforehand and we got an appointment within days, the electrician was super helpful as we had a transformer missing, he went above and beyond to track it down so that we didn’t have to go and buy another set of lights…very professional, polite and reasonable price…thanks so much for all your hard work 😃 Moira Lawrence

One of our solar panel strings stopped working and given the current demand for solar power it wasn't possible to get a renewables-focused company to look at it. To resolve the problem required scaffolding, a roofer and electricians - all co-ordinated well. The scaffolders were excellent and arrived in a small van suitable for our narrow lane. The team of the roofer and electricians were great - resolving the issue in under two hours. They were polite, explained what they were doing and demonstrated the issue had been resolved. I'm really happy with the result!

Jason replaced all our halogen lights with LEDs (and we had a lot!) He also replaced some old outside lights. He supplied all the materials and fittings.
