I had my ASHP fitted a year ago. Whilst the engineers themselves are excellent and I think did a good job, the after sales care is very poor. I received poor advice on the number and size of radiators and returned several as there wasn't sufficient room in the house for them! It was agreed that I would be credited for these against future services but this seems to have been conveniently forgotten so I am now several hundred pounds out of pocket. I will of course pursue this, in court if necessary. I also now believe that I paid far more than average for the system; at the time I trusted the good name of the company but I think was taken advantage of. The previously reasonable customer care department has been outsourced to a call centre with telephone lines mostly engaged and no one with any clue on the end of the phone when you do get through. I do hope that Cotswold Energy read this and other reviews and do something to recover their good name.

Very poor after service : Had my ASHP fitted 3 years ago and I have been calling and emailing since mid September to book an annual service. No one returns my calls or emails and I am told that I am on the list to be seen. Still no call back from anyone. If I could go to someone else to get it serviced I would but feel that for warranties to be valid I am stuck with Cotswold. They used to be a very good company, sadly not anymore . Very frustrating.

Disgustingly poor after care. Error on certificates meant we couldn't register for a solar tarrif for months. 7 months later the issue is still unresolved and contacting anybody is just a case of being passed from pillar to post. 4+weeks between emails with staff who clearly have no clue on solar systems. Avoid !

After five months of being messed about and given the runaround, I eventually cancelled my order for solar panels from Cotswold Energy, which had been arranged through ScottishPower who refunded me my deposit and were very apologetic.

Hopeless aftercare. Fitted a heatpump system under ECO4 scheme last year. Intermittent fault with pump controller left house with no heating in January and still chasing repair. Emails ignored and fobbed-off on the telephone for months now. Have a warranty on paper, but not in practice. Wish we'd kept the storage heaters, far less hassle.

Cotswold Energy Group recently installed solar panels and replaced old storage heaters and insulation on our property with new efficient models . All the work was done quickly and we were left with a clean house which is warmer and uses less energy. It was a good and efficient service that we were very pleased with and can recommend .

A pleasant experience with Cotswold energy. Installation of heat pump went very smoothly. Looking forward to the benefits this coming winter.

Recently had 10 solar panels and 2 batteries installed by CEG to supplement 10 grant funded panels previously installed via Stroud CC. This turned out to be complex and I got different advice from other companies. James was very committed and helpful navigating us through this patiently explaining options throughout. Lloyd and the team were excellent installing everything under stragegic guidance from Lawrence ensuring everything went to plan. All delivered on time and good value especially as high wattage panels fitted and system integrated with our Heat Pump also from CEG. System has been working well since installation, very satisfied, would highly recommend.

We had 10 Solar panels and a battery installed on our new build They gave 3 month lead time when I booked but as our build was delayed the installation was a week after we moved. Very efficient had it all done in a couple of days. We have had no problems with it and are now making money selling back to the grid using Octopus

Quick installation of air source heat pump and radiators. Guys arrived when scheduled, very pleasant and helpful. Worked out replacing radiators and installing heat pump with minimum amount of disruption. Couple of small snags afterwards, sorted very promptly

I was not happy with my experience of them fitting an ASHP: - They clearly have taken on too much work in the current climate. Firstly, this led to very long lead times, followed by last minute delays, followed by a desire to wrap things up super quick. - The installation itself cut corners. I agreed to the power cable being routed along the outside of the house to avoid lifting floorboards. I assumed they would be discreet. It was simply clipped to the barge board of porch. After installation, during cold weather, ice formed at the base. I was told this was normal but they could fit a drain, if it was an issue. There was an actual drain three feet away if they'd spent five minutes more on the original install. - Similarly, the original installation was planned to backfit into the original position in the kitchen. I opted to put it in a dedicated space in a side porch. With hindsight, they would never have got it into this space. - After the installation, my chimney leaked, where they removed the old boiler. When I complained, I was told the chimney was dangerous and I would have to pay extra. Luckily, I had my recent house survey that proved this was nonsense. When I threatened legal action, it was miraculously fixed, no danger. - Now, 8 months later, I've been contacted to say my installation should have included surge protection. Would I like one at my own cost? No, I'll refer you to your trade body thanks.

Really impressed with the service from all at Cotswold Energy Group. They explained the process in clear terms and provided a detailed quote. I was incredibly impressed with how responsive the team were and how quickly they were able to provide an installation. The site team were friendly, professional and finished the job quickly. The whole experience was smooth and painless - and I'm already seeing the energy savings from our solar + battery installation. Couldn't be happier, would definitely recommend.

Cotswold Energy Installed our Air Source Sump last year connecting it to existing underfloor heating and radiators and replacing our old hot water tank. From start to finish Tom and his staff were professional designing and specifying an installation which has proven to be excellent, providing us with a lovely warm house. The specification has proved to be perfect with the installation carried out professionally on time and budget. Twelve months on Cotswold Energy have just carried out our annual service to the same high standards. We can thoroughly recommend Cotswold Group.

Cotswold Energy Group installed our system a few years back and with everything happening with energy nowadays, what a great decision we made. We are quietly smiling at everyone with massive monthly bills and now have a great heating system. The whole project by CGG was professional and they delivered a fantastic green solution that with our solar panels and battery we are very happy.

It’s the first time I’ve left a negative review for a company, which I do not do lightly. However, we had such a poor experience with Cotswold Energy I feel obligated to warn others. We entered into a contract with Cotswold Energy to supply and install an air source heat pump and underfloor heating system at our property. The positive reviews were one of the reasons we decided to employ Cotswold Energy but unfortunately we were severely let down by their capabilities and attitude. There were changes in key staff involved with our project with apparently no handover as we received conflicting information from different colleagues regarding details of our project. Problems were exacerbated by the fact that they employed a subcontractor for an important aspect of the work. We did not receive any written plans of the system or any written specifications for the expected preparatory work. The assigned project manager - who was also one of the company directors - did not appear to have any detailed knowledge about the specifics of our job and seemed unaware of aspects that we had discussed with other colleagues. He seemed to rely on the guidance of their unreliable subcontractor for direction. The situation led to a disagreement between us and ultimately we had to employ a new company to complete the work. The attitude of the management in dealing with our complaints was dismissive, rude and unhelpful. The company was unwilling to admit any fault and continually tried to shift blame for their mistakes onto us, despite the fact that they had failed to adhere to the renewable energy consumer code and the agreed contract. Our experience with Cotswold Energy has caused us unnecessary stress and delays and we would strongly advise anyone looking to install a renewable heating system to avoid this company.

We have just had our electric boilers replaced by Cotswold Energy with Air Source Heating. The project went really well, from our initial contact with Zoe and Robin last summer up to Simon the Project Managers input over the past few days. Sam and Josh were absolutely brilliant they arrived on time and worked so hard to get us up and running as quick as possible. They treated us and our home with respect and were courteous at all times. They were happy to explain their procedures and answered our questions as they went along. At the end of the day their cleaned up and hoovered, leaving the house neat and tidy. Support was given for all the necessary documentation to be completed, which was really helpful. Cotswold Energy were one of three companies that we contacted for quotes. We definitely made the right decision, and I would recommend their service as second to none. Just an update on aftercare service as now had heat pump for 18 months - Cotswold continued to be on hand for queries on Melcloud App along with query on pressure on system. Sam happily popped over to check all in order and explained what I need to look out for moving forward. Definitely made the right decision to go with CHC

Our ASHP was installed last year by Cotswold Energy. They were extremely efficient, always available for advice and the installation was very professionally completed. This was despite the problems surrounding our project - we had a rogue and completely incompetent general builder who made life extremely difficult for all concerned, however Arran and his team coped with all the resultant problems in a sympathetic and very helpful manner. Our ASHP has worked well for the last 12months. I would have no hesitation in recommending CEG to anybody who is thinking of installing a heat pump

CE did a great job of installing a Mitsubishi Ecodan ASHP for us overcoming some installation challanges in an old property and it has been faultless since.

We've now had our heat pump, fitted by Cotswold energy, for over a year and I can see that the efficiency is truly 3x better than our previous standard modern gas boiler. CEG had done a very tidy job at the installation and they haven't needed to come back apart from a system service recently. Would recommend both heat pumps and CEG.

I had a Mitsubushi ASHP installed by Cotswold Energy just over a year old. It has performed fautlessly and has significantly reduced my energy bills as well as my carbon footprint. It has needed no attention except changes for holidays and the like which have been very easy to do. I was very impressed with the CE team during planning and installation and they worked seamlessly with the Green Shop who added PV and a Solar iBoost device. Wholeheartedly recommended and the more people who fit ASHPs the better.

Cotswold Energy installed our Mitsubishi ASHP almost three years ago and especially taking into account the trouble that the LPG system used to cause us this was one of our best investments. The equipment has worked faultlessly and once we mastered its interaction with our (German!) underfloor heating system it proved very efficient. Cotswold Energy's annual maintenance services also proved very reliable and efficient. And now that they are expanding into solar panels and batteries they have every chance of becoming a truly compehensive energy services company which when we first dealt with them was almost completely missing on the market. Brilliant service and always easy to get to speak to the right person. Air source heat pump system is so easy and can be controlled easily from your phone. Economic to run and I would never dream of going back to a gas boiler!

I decided to convert from an oil fired boiler to ASHP last April using the Green Homes government grant. CEG helped me through the application process; someone was always available at the end of the phone to answer queries. The installation ran smoothly and was completed to schedule by a very professional and pleasant installation team. The after service has also been excellent. I recently reported an error code and lack of hot water and CEG sent an engineer within 2 days who explained the problem in simple terms that I could understand. He also showed me how I could raise the water pressure myself if I chose to do so.

Great friendly team to work with and our Mitsubishi heat pump has been an absolute god send and saved us a lot of money compared to the oil system we were on before. Would definitely recommend the company and the products they offer!

We contacted three companies before selecting Cotswold Energy for our ASHP. They weren't quite the cheapest but the overall experience during the specifying and quotation period was excellent. Time was taken to explain the system, and requirements clearly and communication was excellent. Having made our decision we were not disappointed with the overall service we received. The ASHP was delivered ahead of schedule and installed before the the initial anticipated date. Like wise the install team were fast efficient workers and friendly too. The whole system was was installed and up and running in the week as planned but an extra day was required to complete the pipe work for the planned under floor heating in the new extension. Overall the whole experience was a pleasurable one and we're pleased with the performance of the ASHP.

Replacement Heat Pump. Our 11 year old heat pump had failed and replacement parts were not available so we were without heating in March. CEG provided a good price compared to other suppliers and were also able to offer me the air source heat pump that I wanted "off the shelf" due to another customer having just changed their mind on system size. Installation was 2 weeks later and completed very neatly in less than a day. We now have a more controllable system that keeps us warmer than the previous ASHP. A year later we haven't had any problems at all.

Good System but poor communications The air source heat pump and heating alterations installed by Cotswold Energy are generally working well but there were a number of issues, largely down to very poor internal communications, which mean that the system is not ideal. Lack of communication between the survey team and the installers has meant that the pump could not be located where originally planned and a significant amount of ugly external piping has been left on show. During the installation, quite a number of minor snags had to be rectified at later visits and workmen regularly turned up not at the time booked or not at all. Since installation the system appears to work well apart from the holiday function which was reported not working in January and is still awaiting rectification.

Early in 2021 we decided to get rid of our aging biomass boiler for an Air Source Heat Pump. We contacted several companies and got 2 quotes. Cotswold Energy were similar in price, but the technical knowledge that Zoe & Simon showed on their first visit to quote gave us confidence that they were the firm to go with, especially as the system we needed wasn't straightforward. (Worth noting that I design commercial heating systems so I can tell when someone doesn't know what they're talking about with a heating system!). Zoe kept us up to date throughout the whole process, and during the installation the site team were a pleasure to have around. On the whole they kept things clean and tidy, the only issue being brick dust from core drilling through an outside wall, but that was understandable. The ASHP was installed in September 2021, so we've now had a full winter of it providing our heating. It works very well, keeping our house (part new, part circa 1905) warm and at a stable temperature. I've recommended Cotswold Energy to several friends - we're really pleased with the installation & the system.

We had an AHSP fitted by CEG in Nov 2021 and have been very happy with the result, my wife declaring that she has been warm during the winter for the first time! In contrast to the many "cowboy" outfits around, CEG staff acted professionally at all times, including during the surveying, costing and plumbing work. It was a major job, so not without any problems (eg the original pump was unavailable at the last minute, there were a couple of leaks at the end of the job), but each time these issues were dealt with in a straightforward fashion that put the customer first. Thanks CEG!

CEG discussed, explained and installed our air source heat pump. It was done efficiently, neatly, on time, on budget and has kept us warm and with hot water since December 2021 without any drama. We would recommend CEG

Cotswold Energy have been a pleasure to deal with from day 1 and have installed an ASHP whose performance has exceeded my expectations. I have been impressed with the fact that a real person answers the phone and that I have been able to talk to the relevant person directly. The installation was done very neatly and Cotswold have led me through all the necessary paperwork needed for RHI registration. When a meter failed and stopped the heat pump working they replaced it on the same day that I contacted them.

We had been considering installing an air source heat pump for some years and finally the RHI incentive encouraged more serious thought. We live in a recently extended stone built house and knew good design and sizing of a suitable system would be critical. We contacted 5 ASHP specialist installers and found that Cotswold were the only company able to fully explain their design - this inspired confidence and we felt they fully justified quoting a price higher than that quoted by some others. The team - installers and technical back-up (especially Zoe) - were exemplary in answering questions and consulting about issues prior to and during installation (pipe runs, location of components, explanations, etc) so that we now have a bespoke system that does everything we require. Inevitably there were issues during the installation but these were quickly resolved satisfactorily. It was a pleasure to have obvious professionals working in our house. The installation has been running 6 months and we are delighted with overall performance - much smoother temperature control and always warm enough, running costs similar to previous mains gas heating. A good experience, highly recommended.

We had a failing 25 year old gas boiler and wanted to go for a green option and decided to get an Air Source Heat Pump. We'd only done modest retrofit measures - loft insulation and draught measures for doors and windows because the house is Listed. We selected Cotswold Energy Group, who did a thorough survey, analysis and proposal. Despite living in an old house, there was very little disruption - the installers were excellent. We were also helped with our paperwork (grant application). We have had excellent post installation hand-holding as we got to know the system, and now just let it do its thing. Despite it being a 200 years old Listed Building with solid walls, the system has performed very well, as per the design and specification. We are very pleased with it.

Arrogant & negligent is how i describe this company. they left us without heating or a working system for 2 winters.. you wired up a voltless controller which is why we had no working system!!

A most pleasurable experience from start to finished, commisioned, fully running system !! The technicians were superb ambassadors for Cotswold Energy. They were very friendly, polite & efficient, clearing any mess made as they worked & after each days work. They went out of their way to remove every single piece of old plumbing pipe, water storage tank etc & have made a superb job of plumbing in any new pipe work needed & correcting a couple of old plumbing niggles !!! Big "Thank you" to Josh, Sam, Jack & the run around lad who`s name i embarrassingly can`t remember. What a lovely bunch of lads they are !! I would thouroughly recommend Cotswold Energy to anyone wishing to upgrade their heating system to a new, renewable sytem instead.

I asked Cotswold Energy Group to quote for an Air Source Heat Pump system to replace the 30-year old gas boiler in this large, 200 to 300 year old Grade ll listed stone house. Tom and Robin came and took a thorough look. They went into every room checking all dimensions including the windows and radiators. They checked with me that we did not want a ground source system. They sent me a detailed, well structured, proposal for an air source heat pump system backed up by a gas boiler at times of peak heat need. This would substantially reduce our carbon footprint. We studied it carefully and felt our first impression of CEG as a serious and thorough supplier had been correct. We are not going ahead with the system because of the cost at a time when we have other significant work to do on the house but I hope to go back to them in a few years time and if, before then, we decide to replace the old boiler with a modern more efficient one we will definitely ask Cotswold Energy Group to quote for that.

Cotswold Energy Group were one a handful of companies I contacted to quote for a replacement of my old Worcester highflow boiler. Aaron arranged to come out the same evening (Tuesday), and provided a competitive quote as well as a 10 guarantee from Worcester Bosch, due to them being approved, registered installers. Aaron offered us usage of portable oil filled radiators while we waited, and claimed that if the new boiler was in stock with suppliers, then it could be installed on the Friday of the same week. We were contacted on the Wednesday to ask if they could install the boiler a day early. Absolutely!! Dave worked tirelessly on the Thursday to ensure that we would have heating and hot water that night. He left at 19:00. Aaron and Dave returned the following day to finish off. We are delighted with our new boiler. The work completed by Cotswold Energy Group has been faultless. Thank you!
