EV Life installed Tesla Wall Connectors for several reviewers, who described the work as clean, neat or professional. One of them praised how well the cable was hidden. Two reviewers also found the company helpful, with one saying they were easy to contact. Criticism includes a charger failing with an internal contactor/relay fault after three years, which EV Life declined to fix under the Consumer Rights Act and advised a new charger instead. Another reviewer said the trip box was filled with water due to poor installation and that paperwork was withheld, while a third said emails and a promised call-back went unanswered.

EV Life (formerly KVA Electrical Contractors) supplied and installed a MyEnergi Zappi EV charger for me in July 2022 at a cost of over £800. The charger has now failed with an internal contactor/relay fault (error 2417), which their own engineer confirmed. This is a safety-critical component and the charger is now unusable. Despite this being a premature failure of a fixed electrical appliance, EV Life have refused to repair it under the Consumer Rights Act and have instead told me to buy a completely new charger because it is just outside the 3-year warranty. They have also failed to respond to emails after being sent a formal Consumer Rights Act notice. I am now unable to charge my car at home and have had to escalate the matter to Trading Standards and their installer accreditation body. I would strongly advise anyone considering EV Life to think carefully about what support you will receive if something goes wrong after installation.

Do not use! The trip box they installed is filled with water due to poor installation so needs parts replacing and they want to charge me hundreds just to look at it. They refused to leave the paperwork on the day of installation meaning I have had to chase the manufacturer to get essential info. They installed it in the wrong place because that’s where they wanted it. Very unhappy

Also trades as KVA Electrical Contractors Ltd Unfortunately I have to rate at 1 out of 5... I was recommended this company by a friend who has a Tesla charger installed by them a year or so back and as I required the same installation it seemed the logical choice. Contact made via email link from the Tesla website received no response and sending a request via their own website was similarly ignored. Turned to the telephone number to make contact and did get through to a lady who was "not at the office" when I called. She apologised and said she had my number and would call me back when she got to the office. They have not tried to contact me via any method for the last week...

EV Life installed our Tesla Wall Connector and we couldn't be more happy with the service provided. The work was carried out in a very clean and professional manner. They also managed to hide the cable like it's not even there.

Getting my Tesla wall charger installed by EV Life was a pleasure. The company was very helpful and easy to contact. The installation was neat and the engineer very helpful.
