John did an amazing job installing our EV charger. He really knows his stuff and helped us figure out exactly what we needed for a great price. The work was done super quickly, and the result is even better than I expected. I'm really impressed and will definitely be coming back for any future sustainable home upgrades!

What can I say other than excellent service! I put a post on Facebook last week looking for an electrician to install an EV charger, and someone recommended Polar Energy. John, the owner, came out to look at the job and gave me a quote. I was really happy with the price – it was exactly what I was hoping to pay. More importantly, I got the impression straight away that I was going to get a quality installation from someone who genuinely cared about doing a good job, and I wasn’t wrong. The installation was first class from start to finish. The workmanship is excellent, everything was explained clearly, and they left the area spotlessly clean and tidy afterwards. Jon from Polar Energy Ltd did an outstanding job connecting my house to a new upgraded 3-phase power supply, installing new consumer unit and installing a 22kW Zaptec Go 2 EV charger. From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. What really impressed me was that he was happy to install an EV charger from a brand he hadn't worked with before with new features like V2G-Ready, V2H. He didn't mind to install additional earthing(Condu Disc) which he never did before and which was necessary with this type of EV charger and V2G, V2H feature. He took the time to understand it properly and completed the installation to a very high standard without any issues. His workmanship was excellent and quick, everything was neat and tidy, and he was always happy to answer my questions. Price was also very reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jon to anyone looking for a skilled, experienced and trustworthy electrician. Thank you for a fantastic job!

Polite and knowledgeable installation team. They were friendly, worked efficiently and tidied up after themselves. Nothing was too much trouble. Explained how the system works and ensured that the App was downloaded and working. Discussed the settings on the App and the relevant options. Wasn’t a straightforward installation, but all hurdles were thought about and overcome at the initial enquiry. A quote was received with detailed instructions of the work to be undertaken within a couple of days. I would recommend them and if required use them again in the future.

Jon and Tom from Polar-Energy were very friendly and helpful and came out within 4 days to carry out a safety check on my solar panels after an issue. They also advised me what to do about the issue in future and gave me some advice (which I requested) about upgrading my system with a battery and gateway system to allow use of the battery during power cuts. Jon then came back on a separate day to replace some broken light switches. The only reason for giving a 4 star rather than 5 star review is that Jon didn’t attend on the original day for the second appointment and didn’t inform me he wasn’t able to make it until later in the day which meant I was waiting around all day. He did apologise and confirm how busy he was so no doubt it slipped his mind to get in contact earlier. He did make it at the exact time when the appointment was rearranged though and was roughly on time for the first appointment. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

Chris came and did the electrics for our new kitchen, new fuse box and did a electrical report. The quote was clear and itemised, so we knew what cost what and what the bill would be. Chris did not stop, he worked incredibly hard and took care in our home when installing new electrics. He made sure everything was up to a high standard and safe. We cannot recommend Chris and Polar energy enough.

We have used Polar Energy for all the electrical fixes and needs at the community centre. We know we can trust them, and that our building is safe to be rented out to the community. No job is too big or too small - everything is explained clearly and we would not trust anybody else.

I recently had solar panels and a battery system installed by Polar Energy, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. Even as I’m writing this, it’s pouring with rain and there’s barely any daylight—yet the system is still generating more electricity than I’m using. The battery performance has also been excellent, storing and supplying energy exactly as expected. From start to finish, everything was handled professionally. The scaffolding was set up and efficiently, all paperwork was completed thoroughly and on time, and the site was left spotless—no mess or debris whatsoever. The team provided clear, practical advice on the best panels for my needs, and the inclusion of bird-proofing was a great touch. The survey reports were also written in a way that was easy to understand, which made the whole process much more reassuring. If I had to find one small “issue,” it’s that they seem to have underestimated just how much energy the system would produce—which is hardly a complaint! Overall, a fantastic service and a company I would highly recommend.

What a great service provided by Jon. After a recommendation, we were pleased with every aspect of having our consumer unit changed. Jon, explained everything to us first, always kept us informed and started and finished the job in a very professional manner. Removed all old parts, all packaging and vacuumed up afterwards.
