Excellent service from Z J Electrical. Had a burnt out cooker outlet (lucky we didn't go up in smoke!). Zi responded to my initial enquiry swiftly, went though estimated cost and followed up with a suggested time. He arrived promptly on the agreed day and fortunately had a replacement part on his van, so everything was taken care of quickly and efficiently. Tested it, explained everything very clearly and went through probable causes. Also offered detailed advice when I enquired about potential future improvements elsewhere. Very reasonable price too, would definitely use them again. Can highly recommend!

Zi has helped us with various jobs around the house, including an EICR, new sockets, wall lights and pendants. He's very thorough and always took the time to clearly explain what he was doing and why. Communication was great throughout — he was happy to answer questions at every stage. Zi was great: from the first exchanges right to the end, he kept communication open, clear, informed, and proactive. He was very respectful of the house, clearly letting me know when some inevitable damage would occur (to the walls, mainly) and kept the work area neat, tidy and clean. Even when presented with a challenging installation (uncommon lighting fixtures with no installation manual), he calmly and professionally put the lamps together, and advised us on how to get the best result, helping us adjust and refine our original idea. All in all, he did a great job, and I can’t recommend him enough. Count me a happy, returning customer!

We had what turned out to be a non-emergency, but Zi still came within 20 mins of me calling. He was extremely friendly and thorough, and gave us really important advice about our sockets and how we’d set up some stuff. He was also very understanding of our cat trying to attack him! I know Zilvinas since about one year, as I have built his business website. Recently, I had an electrical fault at my flat, where due to some heavy rain and leak through the roof, the lights switch in the fuse board kept on glitching. Immediately I called Zilvinas, as he is the only local electrician I know and I know that he's good, having seen the work he does around the area. Very quickly he managed to find the fault and made a patch in the light in which the leak was coming through, so that we could at least use the rest of the lights in the house. I would recommend him to anyone with electrical faults/needs in Leyton and surrounding areas.

Zi fixed a broken electric radiator in my flat and installed two more radiators and an extractor fan. He helped me through the rather painful process of trying to figure out what kind of radiators and fan I needed and wanted to buy. I found him flexible, responsive and thorough, determined to properly resolve any issues he encountered. He left my home tidy and offered to return soon after to do some additional tasks that weren’t possible that day. As a woman living alone, it’s not always easy to invite unknown tradesmen into my home, but I felt comfortable being in my flat with Zi around for much of the day. All being well, I feel I've found a good local electrician I would use again.

So if you’re wanting to prioritise quality, safe and compliant work and a phenomenal attention to detail and design then you won’t be disappointed. From the fixing of old and dangerous electrical boards, to the replacement and fixing or existing circuits and fittings—lights, switches and so on. The before and after is impressive. We also had a highly complex Ubiquiti Cat6A wired ethernet installation across multiple floors; all routing back to a data cabinet in the garage—including extensive conduit runs to PoE cameras, sensors, doorbell and access points. They handled all of this work immaculately. So if you’re looking for a team to handle your networking needs, which was also high on our list—then these are the guys. We are beyond pleased with the work carried out by Zi. We needed a new consumer unit and were worried about substantial remedial work needing to be done to an ancient-looking wiring job in a 1930s-built house (see the before pictures!). We desperately needed to keep the costs down, so the whole job has been put off for years - which has been a stress at the back of our minds. Zi came and provided a full Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR); we found some remedial work needed to be done (e.g. swap the non-IP44 rated bathroom light, fix a dodgy socket, etc.). Zi was more than happy to allow me to remedy these more simple issues myself, which he would inspect when he came back to install the consumer unit a couple of weeks later. This alone gave me a lot of confidence in him, as I know many tradesmen who would not have been as accommodating and strong-armed us into paying them to do the work (with plenty of extras!). When Zi came to install the consumer unit, he was extremely patient in answering all my many questions thoroughly and expertly throughout the installation. He has been extremely responsive to any messages over WhatsApp both before and after the job as well! It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Zi; he has proven himself to be a true consummate professional! We're very happy with the new installation; it's very neat and tidy - and of course, finally safe!

RCD was tripping intermittently leaving it difficult to WFH, Zi helped initially just over text to figure out what was up, then came and found & sorted the issue (3 corroded/damaged wall sockets), did me a full EICR safety check, and put up an outdoor socket for me. Very satisfied.

I can really recommend ZJ electrical services! They checked all the electrics and produced the EICR straight away. They were very thorough and explained all elements of the testing, which was incredibly useful. They were flexible about when to do the work and very friendly. Great work and reasonably priced! I highly recommend ZJ Electrical Services. My new washing machine had stopped working and I suspected it was due to the power socket as the plug was fused in. I wanted to use a local Electrician and decided to contact this company first. Over the phone, Zi explained that it sounded like there was a short circuit in the power socket and that he needed to investigate this. He came over and showed me why the power socket had failed and that the earth wire had been dislodged, likely due to it not being connected up properly in the past by others. Zi managed to pull out the washing machine plug from the power socket, safely closed off the older power socket and installed a new power socket point nearer the washing machine ensuring that everything was all in working order and compliant, explaining everything throughout. He also replaced another power socket that was not working. I found Zi to be an honest, efficient and professional electrician and his charges for doing the work are very reasonable. He also came out at a time that suited me. I have no more worries about potential hazards or faulty wiring serving my new washing machine. Thank you very much Zi.
I had a great service from Zi and Mic, honest, straightforward and a clear transparent price. They explained the pros and cons of the more expensive option I had been considering because it wasn't best for me and also picked up on various little jobs that needed doing and get everything sorted out. Also being below the VAT threshold saves you a lot of money as well. Very much recommended.
Always nervous when need to find a new tradesperson and suspicious when they have 5/5 in all google reviews however with Zi and his team they are all genuine for sure. I had a failed Generation (FIT) meter, so urgently needed it replaced, he had a member of staff working down the road, sourced what are very hard to get hold of meters, and everything was fitted with 2 hours of his services being engaged. Listened to problem over phone, understood it and resolved it without fuss or bother, super polite and pleasure to have engaged. Highly recommended.

Recently moved into the area & needed some relatively urgent work to the bathroom light fitting. I sent a few messages and rang multiple electricians. Zj took my call & guided me through what the issues were, and what possible solutions there were. He was the only person who took the time to do this, and also was the only electrician to identify multiple safety faults with the current installation. The fix, whilst fairly basic, became complicated for a number of reasons. Zj again took the time to run me through all my options, and provide expert guidance throughout. He even took the time, free of charge, to come out and disconnect our faulty/unsafe light fitting a week prior to the work to ensure our bathroom was safe. The job itself was completed efficiently and professionally. For the service, I received excellent value from Zj. 10/10 - Highly recommend.
