We used Russell Hewes recently for our downstairs house renovation and they did an exceptional job. We had tight time constraints which meant we were under pressure to make quite a few decisions. Our builder, Gus, and the Russell Hewes team were all extremely knowledgeable and helped relieve a lot of the pressure by talking through decisions with us and providing us with their recommendations. They worked directly with Howdens and other suppliers, ensuring materials were delivered quickly and dealt with them if there were any issues, which took a lot of time off our hands. Their communication was great, providing almost daily updates on the progress. It’s been such a great investment and we’ve had so many compliments on what we’ve done to the house. We couldn’t be happier that we decided to use Russell and his team and we’d highly recommend them to anyone searching for a building company!

Russell and team were excellent. Very professional, courteous and punctual. They did a thorough job to a very high standard, easy to work with and very open to discussing changes as we went along. Very happy with our extension and the significant structural work they performed, they have since completed similar works to my friends house after being so impressed, I would definitely recommend and use again.

Russell and the team undertook a sizeable side return extension and kitchen refit. This also included extending the patio and pushing the raised garden back. Our experience with Russell and the team has been fantastic. From the first meeting it was very clear that Russell cares deeply about the projects he undertakes and that the team around him shares that passion. They were incredibly respectful of the property which made living there while the work is done a lot easier. From setting up a fully functioning temporary kitchen to cleaning every day before the team left. Communication was very good and the project manager as well as Russell was always readily available to field our questions and allay whatever concerns we had. There were some unexpected twists and turns and without Russell's involvement and the team's focus on delivering the best possible work it could've been a very stressful few months. The work was done on time, with great attention to detail and it was no hassle at all having the build team in the house throughout the project. I have been so impressed with Russell Hewes electricians. I had a major job that needed doing with care and the whole team were thoughtful (eg about noise), extremely polite and cleaned up every day. This building company has been amazing. The builders and other workmen were extremely reliable, arriving on time everyday and taking pride in their work which was of a high standard. The work was completed well before the scheduled time and the company also took into account our family circumstances and adjusted to this. Very easy company to deal with and highly recommended !!

The project to replace flooring in our basement, following a flood, was very well planned. The work was completed to extremely high standards and was on time and within budget. I cannot recommend Russell and his team enough. Professional, courteous and diligent. Their attention to detail is second to none and their ambition to complete a job to the highest standard possible, was clear from the offset. We'd been let down by an independent carpenter who walked off a job due to health reasons. He'd also cut a lot of corners and almost done more damage than good. Note to self, ALWAYS use a reputable company - saving a few pounds here and there, just isn't worth the risk. Much better to go with a team that can be trusted! Russell took care of everything - they arrived on time, were clear on timelines, scope, materials required, etc. They were also flexible however, to add jobs that weren't detailed from the beginning. Such a welcome relief to the nightmare we previously had. Slawek was assigned to our job and we were so impressed, right from the start. The job was to complete what had been started, but not finished (fitting skirting, architrave, laying flooring and other jobs like fitting a letterbox, etc). Most tradesmen would complain about the work that had been done by their predecessor, but Slawek was adamant to try and rectify his mistakes and finish to a much higher level! And he did! Work that had been dragging on across many days with the previous carpenter, took Slawek half the time and was finished to a much higher standard. We'll only be using Russell Hewes going forward - trustworthy, reliable and true to their word! Thanks for finally making the house a home.

Russell and his Team have just finished a large refurbishment of my flat. They fitted soundproofing under my kitchen floor (my bedroom is below the kitchen) sanded the wooden floors through, fitted a new kitchen, decorated most the house and refurbished the stairs. it was more work than it sounds and took around 3 weeks with reasonable disruption to the kitchen. The service i received from Russell was excellent. I chose to go with Russell as he could do the full works, rather than hiring 4 different companies, which saved me a lot of time, money and stress. Russell took care of everything, from planning the timeline of the work, ordering all the materials and fixtures and fittings that i had chosen, as well as being flexible to add jobs that came up during the work, for example adding a new radiator which meant the floor needed to re-taken up and pipes changed. The quality of the work has been better than i expected and overall my place looks amazing, it has made such a difference. I will be using Russell Hewes for my next project due to the quality of work and personal service i received. Thank you!

Russell and his team carried out a hip to gable extension with a rear roof extension on my property. My partner and I met with Russell and two of his builders to discuss the proposed development and were they were very professional, knowledgeable and were confident they could deliver us our dream loft space. Russell's builders would arrive on time and begin to carry out the work causing little to no distributions to our morning routine. Russell and his team would also keep in regular contact via the WhatsApp group his administration team created to let us know how the build was progressing. We've now been left with an amazing loft space and we couldn't be more pleased with his work. Cheers Russell and team, we will be definitely be getting you guys back in for our next project.

Russell and his team renovated our 2 bedroom flat almost 3 years ago. It was a project to modernise it from top to bottom. I couldn't be happier with the result, and the quality of work. We're now putting the flat on the market and received so much great feedback from agents on how impressed they are with the work done. And this was heard over the years from most visitors. Our next property might be another project and if so, the RH team will be called.
