We had our annual maintenance service today with Masterfix. Our engineer Ricky was excellent and went above and beyond to make sure our apartment was in good working condition. Top service.

I had a great experience with the Master Fix engineer, Mustafa. He was very humble, patient, and took the time to answer all my questions clearly. He fixed the electrical issues in my flat efficiently and replaced the damaged items with new ones. His knowledge, professionalism, and friendly attitude really stood out. He is excellent at his work, and I truly appreciate the service provided. Highly recommended!

disgusting company extremely unhelpful

After paying a £132 call-out fee that resulted in no repair, I was quoted £450 labour to replace a £62 driver due to an internal policy. This makes routine household lighting repairs unaffordable.

We have a 1 bed apartment with one toilet which is currently broken and MasterFix have emailed to reschedule TWICE because their engineer is running late at a previous job! 2 weeks with a toilet that barely works. Thanks for no help!

Masterfix did some significant work on my house as a result of an insurance claim. Overall the experience with Masterfix was positive, with the workers being skilled, friendly and knowledgeable & the project management side being run very effectively too (the insurance side was a rather different story, but that's not due to Masterfix). The work was completed to a high standard (subject to the typical niggles and snags found on any big project). Ian, the project manager, was easy to get hold of, responsive & friendly. He ensured that project updates were regular and covered off issues as soon as they were raised. I would have no hesitation in recommending Masterfix (during the insurance work we had experience of another contract company and the difference was very stark - Masterfix were far more professional, accomodating and much much more pleasant to work with). TLDR - Great company, great service, high standard of work.

[Masterfix does out of hours emergency repairs for some Hamptons managed properties] After losing hot water an early evening, I reached Katie on Masterfix's emergency number. When explaining the issue, I speculated a different repair job may have cost me hot water. Katie immediately shut me down saying they could not touch other contractors work. When I said I wasn't sure that was the problem, she pivoted to saying my lacking hot water was not an emergency. She then litigated with me why I would need hot water. She provided no empathy, or solution. Hamptons have since confirmed Masterfix was in the wrong, as well any Google search that notes no hot water is an emergency. If you get Katie on the phone, you'll be happier and healthier paying for an out of pocket fix yourself. What a trainwreck experience. The only reason it's not 1 star is Masterfix was able to solve a previous heating issue, though outside of the promised time range.

Kieran did a wonderful job restoring power to our flat after we had tried for 2 days to find the right person. He found the cause quickly and performed a repair that was much more straight forward than we had previously been led to expect. We are very grateful for his services and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

Following a big flood in our house, Adrian and his team were assigned to carry out the renovation work. They were first class. Adrian was responsive and helpful at all times, even on a Sunday when problems occurred. We always felt that he understood the issues and did his best to help and make sure that problems were minimal. The work that the team did was excellent and we now have a beautiful house at the end of it. We feel very fortunate that Adrian was in charge.

Tony is my new favourite person! He came and fixed our toilet flush - which has been broken for over a year and a half (it never flushed first time, and when it did flush, the water would keep running constantly until you slammed the flush about 20 times to get it to stop!) Tony fixed this for us in 5 minutes! The flush is now smooth and the water stops when it’s finished, no aggravating non-stop trickle, just peace and quiet! THANK YOU Tony! Massively appreciate it!

Following a fire at our property, Masterfix were appointed as the company to make the insurance repairs and redecoration and we could not be more pleased with their work. Project managed by Ian and with James, George and others on site as needed, the project was excellent. The whole area was masked up and we felt we were listened to and the respect for our property excellent. All expectations met above and beyond.

Masterfix have been dealing with my property in Scotland and everything has been absolutely shocking I have been back and forth with them for over 16 months there office have been avoiding me and won’t repair the house they have even walked off the job absolute shambles of an insurance company want to send them to your home do not allow them to pass the front door

Great team working

Masterfix collected my excess on my insurance policy as a requirement to put me in their list for repair work to be undertaken. A called several times to get an indication of when work would be likely to be undertake and to say their response was vague is an understatement. I was given no indication of where I was on their list or when the repairs would be undertaken. Upshot is after 4+ months they are no longer able to do the work and to add insult to injury I’m still waiting on my excess of £400 being returned - utterly useless with zero customer focus.

They are lucky i didnt call the police on them for breaking & entering. They were a no show to our appointment. 3 weeks later, one of their workers barges into my flat, unannounced. Needless to mention he scared he hell out of me. Good I didn't fall down the stairs as I rushed down to see who was trying to break into my flat. He "knocked and no-one answered" so he let himself in. Question remains, how on earth did he manage to enter? Shockingly unprofessional company

Keep hanging me up when I just asking if someone is coming up to fix my problem after my full payment. Hanged me up on the first call, and hanged up again as soon as he hear my voice on the second call. Ridiculous. Perfect customer service.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had in a long time. The job set out to them was pretty simple, trace a fibre cable of a specific company into my apartment. Even though I already have an electrician that I know well that does basically everything inside the apartment, my building recommended Masterfix to me for this job, as access was required in the building’s common electrical areas and they said that Masterfix is approved for that and that they weren’t sure if my electrician could do the job. So I reluctantly agreed. Simple enough, I said to myself, it would be difficult to mess it up anyway. Boy how wrong I was! We are now over a month later and this seemingly simple job has turned into a whole saga. The first time they came everything seemed fine, except the exorbitant £130 call out fee that had to be paid up front for 15 minutes of work. That was until the ISP engineers came to install the Wi-Fi and we all realised that the wire that Masterfix traced into the apartment was another company’s wire, which on the day was the first one they found and so just popped it in without any hesitation. After a series of emails and a painful communication process, I managed to explain to them where the wire should be and they proposed that their electrician can “pop in for a little look” on a specific day. Of course, when I told them that on that day I would not be home after 1.30pm they said that he’ll be coming from 2-5pm, but I didn’t make any fuss about this as I still, foolishly believed that it would be an easy job and that I didn’t need to be there since I had clearly explained where the wire should be. Fast forward to that day and the electrician came and went in the span of 7 minutes (luckily for me my Google doorbell camera captured the exact time span he was there) and just quickly looked at the SAME place he looked at the first time, predictably not finding the wire once again. Meanwhile they didn’t even inform me of his visit (which if not for my doorbell I would have no idea if it happened or not) and I had to send out another email for them to confirm that he came and determined that “there was no wire”, which of course is strange since the whole building has one for each flat. Therefore, that point being the tipping point for me I decided to not contact them again and just pursue another avenue to solve my, apparently, very complicated issue. That was until 3 days later, when they just randomly sent me another email instructing me to pay them ANOTHER £130 for the supposed “call out” on that day. So the quick “pop in for a little look”, (which in hindsight was not wrong since literally the visit lasted less than 10 minutes and the look was even smaller than a little one!), where they never suggested anything about me having to pay them (remember the first time they asked for the fee upfront, the cheeky buggers), and which I just took as a gesture of good will, turned into me having to fork out another £130 for a job that was still incomplete. So, I’ve now thrown £260 down the drain to a bunch of scammers, for a job that any normal company or electrician would have completed in one visit with 1/10th of the cost. If I could give them a negative rating I genuinely would and I hope that you avoid them at all costs!

I am convinced that the customer service at Masterfix enjoy degrading people over the phone. Hang your head in shame.

September 2023 - we were having subsidence works at home and Masterfix were the chosen contractor by the insurance company. I hate having any disruption at home at the best of times and I made the mistake of looking at the google reviews shortly before the job commenced. All I can say is that if you're fortunate enough to have Adrian as a project manager then you're going to be ok. He was so reassuring, he was in contact with us throughout and listened to all our concerns. Thanks to Reo, Gary, John and Johnny who treated our home with respect and who made this whole process as painless as possible. 5-start service and quality as far as we're concerned.

Basically paying for someone to come and tell you they can’t fix - avoid !!! Modern day scammers

I'm forced to pay for this company's work as the letting agent seem to use them. Every time they attend they seem to like to do it out of hours (and charge extra). They've never actually managed to fix anything yet, just send invoices! Avoid

Horrendous services - even though they replied to my comment saying they will look into our case if we emailed them, I did emailed this person called Chris Ball, guess what, no reply! Employees who work for this company should be ashamed, such a scam.

I have worked with Masterfix on a number of projects and they are a real pleasure to work with. Friendly, efficient and organised!

Masterfix like to create a security risk my leaving keys for an unattended property. A fox passed away in my garden and an operator decided to dump the carcass on top of child's play equipment. Their attention to detail is appalling and I appear to have wasted my time producing a report detailing snagging and correction works due to their inability into quality control management and focusing on rushing through the works. I can only discuss my own experience with this expensive central London contractor.

ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES!! The surveyor never turned up to the job. The builders caused more damage than they fixed! Paint on my furniture and radiators! Customer service was dreadful and basically just told me the incomplete job and damage was my problem and not theres!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

They were appointed by insurance provider to address subsidence issues internally & externally. Awful experience. Took months to schedule date for repairs then they walked off the job. Rescheduled to return a month later for 3-4 days and worked only 1/2 day. Didn’t complete their work scope. Emails and phone calls went unanswered and plenty of lies along the way. Terrible service.

Strung me along for weeks. Wasted my time and money with them. I had to constantly chase them up daily. In the end went with Pimlico Plumbers, job was done rapidly and wasn’t much more expensive.

Terrible customer service. Engineer came over twice to our flat, saying our boiler was fine, no heater for over 2 weeks and they kept saying there is no problem with the boiler. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone as they have not only being useless, but quite disrespectful with their customer service.

Sadly disappointing. Our rental property's management company uses Masterfix as their 'go to' resource for out of hours work. Having had an electrical circuit trip three times on a friday night (and with two young children in darkness) I contacted Masterfix to help. Their admin staff were understanding and helpful and in fairness their response staff were sent quickly. The electrician sent couldnt have been more unhelpful; his surly attitude could have been excused had he sorted the problem but his excuses as to why he couldn't fix it didnt ring true...eventually he said he had other 'emergencies' to go to Kids in the dark....went to another company I didnt want to write an unfair review. This is the third time Masterfix have visited my property over the last 3 months for electrical faults. I appreciate that as an emergency solution they cannot be held accountable for a property's electrical wiring but not once did they provide any kind of fix
