Joe has recently completed an overhaul of our electrics, updating our circuit boards by building us 2 brand new Consumer Units which comply with all modern standards, as well as replacing light fittings and broken sockets, and fitting a new Ring doorbell. We are delighted with all of his work. Joe has brought sense and safety to our outdated electrics. He worked in a tidy and orderly manner and was a pleasure to have around the house. Joe helped me recently fix wiring issues some cowboy electricians did for the previous house owner. He was quick, reliable, quoted a fair price and most importantly was a man of his word in terms of managing expectations and promises. Evidence of this includes his arrival time and price being exactly what he quoted me, and also Joe was extremely helpful to identify a separate issue I mentioned in passing and arranged in the same evening a solution with the UK power network. He did exactly what he told me and was super professional Such a rarity in this country now and honestly we need more people like this!

An initial and detailed review identified a range of issues not surprising in a Victorian house whose electric systems had been introduced sporadically over 50 years. A program was introduced to bring all systems up to date - no small task - with a subsidiary objective of standardising light fittings; improve energy efficiency and meeting current regulations. Our upstairs shower, used consistently over 35 years is now earthed! We can sleep well at night!

I recently moved into a new flat with a host of electrical problems. Joseph was very thorough at investigating my problems and is clearly very knowledgeable. The work he carried out was to a high standard, he explained what he was doing clearly and he inspired confidence. He left my flat immaculate afterwards. He was easy to have around the house. Our house had neither been properly nor logically rewired for decades. With the aim of tackling the task professionally and safely, and at the same time improving our green credentials, we appointed Joe Katz to review the whole system and then replace it. Joe is highly qualified, exceptionally professional, good at unearthing problems and thinking through solutions. He communicates well with us, the clients, and will always follow up with any queries speedily, setting clear timing parameters. He is the tidiest electrician we have ever dealt with. Joseph was a pleasure to have in the house, respectful, well organised, with a good eye for design. From the install of a new main board bringing the house into the 21st century to sourcing orange cable for a light fitting, the work was always done in a timely fashion and to the agreed cost and standard. Joe is exceptional in his dedication and the pride he takes in his work. He is a committed and intelligent problem solver and really knows his stuff. Joe has completed various other jobs for us since. Never because his work needs revisiting but because we have now made (non-emergency) external and internal electrical improvements confident in his help. Joe is responsive and generous with his time, often stepping in to help outside hours. He is also fully trustworthy. I have no hesitation about him working in the house when we are not there. Equally, he is a pleasure to have around when we are at home.

Joseph did a fantastic job designing and installing lighting in our garden as well as completing several smaller jobs. Knowledgeable, helpful, sensible and good at solving problems. Joe was exceptional. He conducted an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) at our home, in order to identify an underlying tripping problem. He worked hard and consistently until he completed the Report, which was detailed and clear. He followed thiss us with an email about next steps. We'll certainly be working with him again.
