The works undertaken included a full electrical survey - new RCD fuse board - various new sockets and the installation and connection of five new radiators. As we were having a new fuse board, Chas also dealt with the certification and notifications to Building Control so we have total piece of mind for the future term. The works were completed over a two day period and we are really pleased with the end result plus we now have the ability to control our heating remotely which is a big advantage in controlling costs. Tentacle Electrical came out within 15 minutes when I couldn’t reset my RCD on a Friday afternoon. Chas identified the fault which was fortunately something that could be isolated. He recommended a new consumer unit as mine was over 30 years old. He returned to fit that last week and carry out some remedial work. He was friendly, turned up when he said he would and carried out the work efficiently and left everything neat and tidy. Would recommend and definitely use for any future electrical work.

I recently hired Chas for an EV charger installation, and while he was punctual, professional, and overall a pleasant person to work with, I unfortunately encountered some issues with the installation. Despite his efforts, the device didn't function properly initially. Chas attempted to troubleshoot the problem, initially suggesting it might be due to settings on my EV, then admitting he lacked experience with such installations and also did not have internet connection in my parking space to look up the installation instructions online. Ultimately, he attributed the issue to a faulty charger and recommended I contact the seller. However, after reaching out to the manufacturer, I discovered that the problem was simply a software update, easily resolved with a quick over-the-air update. Had I followed his advice, I might have unnecessarily purchased a new charger and incurred additional installation costs. Furthermore, I was disappointed by the lack of follow-up from him after the invoice was settled. While the initial experience was positive, the lack of ongoing support left something to be desired. Overall, while Chas demonstrated professionalism and timeliness, I would hesitate to recommend him specifically for EV charger installations based on my experience (at least Pod Points like mine)

Can’t recommend Chas at Tentacle enough. He’s a thoroughly decent guy who really helped us out tonight with a Sunday night emergency when our power went with no idea why. He also did our garden electrics earlier this year, installing a heater and lighting which is perfect. Nothing was too much trouble, he came out at short notice and did a great job, making suggestions for improvements and making it function way better than we’d imagined. With a quick pre-visit he was able to provide an accurate quote for the work to be undertaken and provided plenty of advice and options. On the day he arrived on time worked flat out to get the works completed, when faced a problem caused by previous electrical work he was able to work through the problem leaving all electrics in a better state than he found them.

Very punctual, highly professional, efficient service. Tentacle electrical was called to fix an electric shower that was an electrocution risk. This was inspected, dismantled and a new unit was replaced as early as it could be. They made sure that the electrical trip did not affect any other electrical connections in the flat. They found a plumbing mistake despite the new shower being fixed and had someone fix that too. I would highly recommend Tentacle electrical services.

He did such a great job was punctual and so responsive. He gave us a quote and did the job all within 24 hours! He changed our lights to LEDs, replaced a light socket, put in dimmer switches and installed our back camera and did it with a smile and professionalism you dont see often enough. I would highly recommend him he did a superb job.

A couple of small jobs done efficiently by Chas: good work.

We had our garden house wired from the main house with 70m cable coming out the front (under the floor), over the house and through the garden. Job was completed in about half a day and was done to high quality. We had received quoted that had the job taking 2-3 days so we were really impressed.

I had lost power to all sockets in one room and after getting other quotes, Chas came and sorted out the problem quickly, efficiently and at his (lower) quoted price, despite running into the inevitable 'surprises' in an old house. He also ran power to my shed. Very nice to deal with, stayed in touch and did what he said he was gonna do.
