S & M Electrical Ltd has mixed feedback. One reviewer said the company was professional and extremely reactive, while another described two electricians as knowledgeable and reported a high standard of work arranged outside business hours. Another reviewer reported a quick response the day after the initial call and a distribution board replacement done cleanly and tidily. Criticisms include one reviewer saying the company took £180 for identifying a problem and then £220 from their account, and another saying an electrician overcharged, did not do half the works and that head office did not care. Other reviewers described overcharging and unnecessary rewiring advice, with one saying a prepaid fee for three hours was not reimbursed despite no work being done.
Management Company who have been using S&M for a long time. They are professional and extremely reactive, providing our clients with high quality service. I have used electricians for years and I am very impressed S&M.
Avoid like the plague, this company are complete rip off merchants. Didn’t even touch the job and called me to take payment £180 for ‘identifying the problem’. I have just seen that they have in fact STOLEN £220 from my account. Absolute and utter disgrace
They responded very quickly to my initial request for a quote to replace a distribution board for my Victorian house. The price quoted was very competitive and they were able to come quickly as I asked. They did a great job and made sure everything was clean and tidy when they finished. I would not hesitate to use their services again, they are excellent.
Outstanding and professional company. I have had 2 separate electricians from the company come out to the business property- both extremely knowledgeable and couldn't do enough to help. Quality of work to a very high standard. Arranged a suitable time to carry out the works outside of business hours to ensure no disruption. Top quality service offered from quotation through to aftercare. Many thanks.
The service from this company was quite exceptional. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Total rip off merchants
The electrician came around over charged, didn’t do half the works and requested payment straight away. The head office didn’t care.
Seriously overcharging and gave incorrect professional advice advised on necessary rewiring which was not necessary and it has been rectified without by a different electrician n and the way he wanted to do it I did not agree I paid in advance and he refused to reimburse me the correct money and charged me 3 hours of his time where as he did not do any work Definitely advice to avoid him
Very happy with service, quick response, day after initial call, I would definitely use again when needed
