Terrible communication from Chris - had to chase multiple times via WhatsApp just to confirm the appointment. Completely disorganised - turned up without allocating the necessary time for the job, then left with a flimsy excuse. To make matters worse, he made an outrageous claim that my entire house needed a rewire - a statement that was completely false, as confirmed by reputable electricians afterward. Mayday wasted my time, delayed my project, and caused me financial loss. I would never their services again and strongly advise others to avoid them.

Hired Chris at Mayday Electrical to do an EICR and PAT testing for a flat I rent out, along with sorting some crossed wiring in a light switch. Chris from Mayday electrical was brilliant. Water had gotten into our plug points under the sink blowing a fuse. He arrived quickly and sorted out the problem and even relocated our plug points so we wouldn’t have the same issue again. He also kindly checked a wired junction and made that safer and neater. I manage a flat in a group of four flats in a converted house in Islington. We needed our fire alarm system updated to be compliant with regulations in the communal area and in all our flats. Chris and his team installed the new fire alarm system, lights and alarms in each of our flats. They were very professional, provided excellent workmanship, competitive with pricing and were very good at communicating with us all. I took on a massive project in a church which required lighting for the main hall area. The church had suffered from poor lighting for years and everyone was complaining about the dull lights. The job was left to me to solve the issue, but as the hall was so massive, I didn't know where to start. The main hall required an expert electrician to come in and design a system that would be bright enough to light up the hall. I had seen Maydays electrical videos on YouTube so decided to hit them up to see if they could come and in help me out on this project. Chris, who was the main electrician for the company, was simply excellent. He not only came in and designed the system, but he also carried out the full installation. Chris and his team were fantastic with our EV charger install. They were responsive, on time, and did great work (on a job that turned out to be more complicated than we anticipated). Would highly recommend them! If you're thinking about getting an EV charger put it, the big companies (e-on, pod point, etc) might seem cheaper at first, but they make you go through all sorts of hoops and add extra costs. Chris was honest, willing to explain every step of the process, and always had a smile.

Always relieved to know that we can call on Chris at Mayday Electrical Solutions when we have a power failure at home. During the lockdown my pond pump packed up. I didn't imagine any electrician would consider this an emergency (that is if they were still working). However, Chris texted back to say that Mayday would get back to me within three days as they were exceptionally busy. Nevertheless within barely twenty minutes he emailed to say he would come the next day. He fixed the problem and carried out some additional work to ensure that it would not recur. Throughout it all he was extremely polite and friendly and patiently explained the nature of the problem. what a find. Mayday are definitely on my list to use again when the need arises. Made appointment for the next morning, and arrived on time, truly an emergency service but for a standard fee. Arrived to change neon tube for LED fitting, was in and out in minutes, and took away the old tube although this hadn't been agreed in advance. Ten out of ten.
