Reviews

1.3

Most reviewers report significant issues contacting Ealing Council, citing long phone wait times, unreliable online portals, and delays resolving council tax or local maintenance enquiries. Critical reviews also highlight concerns regarding road schemes, parking enforcement, and street cleanliness. However, some residents report positive experiences with individual staff members who assisted with emergency housing funding, council tax support, and marriage registration.

Absolutely horrible. Not only is their website impossible to navigate and find out council tax bills, contacting them for information is near impossible as well. Super poorly ran council.

Hi, I’ve been living in Ealing for some time now. I understand that the cost of living is high and that running the borough isn’t cheap, but I have to ask: what exactly are you cutting here? I’m sharing a video showing grass being mowed in a park — but there is no overgrown grass, no long grass that actually needs cutting. It looks like you are simply mowing grass that has already been cut. Maybe this is one of the reasons why council costs are so high — because money is being wasted on unnecessary work. Someone has to be paid to do this, the machinery has to be maintained, and the tractor needs fuel. In the end, who pays for this? The residents of Ealing. Please start using our money more wisely and focus on spending it where it is actually needed. Cutting already short grass, especially on a day when temperatures are reaching 35–40°C, is completely unnecessary and a waste of resources. We deserve better management of our council funds.

Thursday 2nd July '2026: As a resident under ealing council for 12-13years up until July '2025. I have always had a great service from them. I just wanted to say a Big Thank you to Harjeet, for assisting me in my time of need with homelessness. Though none of the properties that she recommended to me from the companies they use, were of a good, living state and therefore ended up finding my own new room to rent. Hestia were the ones who informed me about the Prevention Funding and Harjeet assited with it finally being paid to the landlord. Its been a stressful 2mths, with me feeling anxious and low unsure about my new living situation due to the outstanding rent/deposit... but it all got sorted (today) in the end and I am very greatful. Thank you again, Harjeet & Ealing Council. As a Top Tier Google Maps Reviewer with over 8million views on all reviews. It is alway a great pleasure to leave positive feedback. Thank you again, Harjeet & Ealing Council. 🙏

Ealing has somehow managed to create a system where everyone loses. It’s not just drivers being punished — even the people who do switch to public transport end up suffering. The borough has turned travel into a double‑sided nightmare: - Punished drivers — narrowed roads, pointless bus lanes, constant roadworks, potholes everywhere, and layouts that feel like they were designed by someone who hates cars. - Punished bus users — bus stops closed for months, diversions every week, buses crawling through the same roadworks that drivers are stuck in. - Punished residents — no matter what mode of transport you choose, you’re delayed, stressed, and paying for the privilege. Ealing keeps telling people to “use public transport”, but then digs up the entire route, shuts half the stops, and leaves buses crawling behind temporary traffic lights. Meanwhile, drivers are squeezed into single lanes, slapped with bus lanes, and forced through bottlenecks that make no sense. It’s honestly impressive — in the worst way — how a borough can discourage driving AND fail public transport at the same time. Ealing has become a place where travelling is not a journey, it’s a punishment.

I am attempting to responsibly recycle 2 bin bags full of textiles. These are a mixture of clothes that have been worn/stained, shoes that are falling apart, that sort of thing. I checked the website two weeks ago and it said I could place my textiles in bags on top of the recycling bin. I did so and came back to find the bin empty and the bags on the ground with no information as to why they hadn’t been taken. I tried filling the online form out, but it didn’t work. Yesterday I noticed 3 other houses had put their textiles out and they were in white bags. I had preciously used black bags so I thought maybe that’s why. I swapped over to white bags. Same story. So I called the council and held for 10 minutes to speak to someone. I was advised they don’t offer that service anymore. I have to arrange for a home collection with some charity they’ve partnered with. This charity sorts items by hand and either sells or recycles them into other products. So my textiles do not fit their criteria. The council employee told me to put the textiles in a black bag in general waste and claimed she wasn’t an expert. Then why are you in the position you’re in? Why must it be so hard to be a responsible citizen?
