We had a significant upgrade to the fuse box, lighting, smoke alarms and much more, throughout our house. SMK Electrical Services provided an excellent level of professionalism, customer service and quality work. We'll definitely be coming back to them in the future. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Installation of two double power sockets and moving wiring and sockets for Cat6, aerial and satellite. Brandon did a great job. The end result was spot on. He listened to what I wanted and talked about how to do it, checked with me and then got on with it. The work was neat for both the cables runs and sockets installed. He left the area clean and tidy afterwards. No complaints.

Sean spent about two weeks working on our house when we first moved in. He carried out a full EICR report and then carefully worked through all of the high-priority items that needed attention. I can’t recommend Sean and his team highly enough. He replaced a light timer switch, upgrading it from analogue to digital. Another electrical company had tried and failed by simply swapping the unit without realising it needed complete rewiring, clearly not understanding the job. Sean recognised what was required to make everything work properly and carried out the work quickly. There was a minor issue during testing but Brandon returned and after testing, figured out it was due to the timer settings, not the unit or installation. In hindsight, it made perfect sense: the lights were turning off at midnight and the second setting was showing as 00:00! It now works perfectly. I’d highly recommend SMK Electrical Services for their expertise, professionalism and thorough follow-up.

Sean did an amazing job from quote to finish. He spent a good amount of time talking us through his thoughts, future proofing as well as the I’m pact a full rewire would have on our home. Once booked he kept to timelines, provided a video once finished talking us through what had been completed. Documentation and certificates were provided within 24 hours of completion. We were recommended SMK ELECTRICAL SERVICES by our neighbour. They were very professional and clearly explained what work was required to fix a roof light window actuator that had seized. They used dust-sheets and shoe covers whilst on site and cleaned up afterwards. The cost of the repair was very reasonable and the entire process was very straight forward. We will definitely be using them again for our electrical repairs, and would highly recommend them.

SMK were asked to fit an additional PIR and lighting along a secure path to two private flats. The attention to detail and work completed was excellent: they carefully removed pebbles and slate before digging to hide cable, ensured the additional cable was well hidden too, and having tidied up the electric boxes and set up an isolator switch too, replaced everything as though no one had been there! The PIR and lighting is perfect and appreciated. Great service, local company and would recommend to anyone who needs work. Am asking SMK back to replace our circuit board soon.

As a member of the Church Council of St. Mark's Church, Bromley, I recently employed SMK Electrical Services to replace current fitments in the church hall with LED fitments, repair security lights and replace a light bollard in the church garden. I would like to say that this company provided such wonderful service in a way that made me feel completely comfortable as they came to my sisters home. As both my sister and myself are both disabled it was imperative to agree times of access and certain specific details beforehand which Sean and Brandon were happy to do. They stuck to the agreement and in every respect carried out the work efficiently and effectively. Everything was checked and double checked and they took the time to see that everything was working properly before they left. I have never had such excellent treatment before and I will most certainly use SMK again. They replaced the fuse box and installed a new one and a brand new shower which my sister is very happy with and I am confident that she is safe with the equipment installed. Sheila.

From the assessment/planning stage to the replacement of my utility room wiring and circuit board, Sean was exemplary in terms of communication, explanation and installation. Himself and Brandon also performed a very thorough review and testing of the electrics in my ageing house and highlighted previously unknown problem areas and fire risks. Sean has completed several works for us since we moved into our new home 18 months ago. Starting with an overall survey of the electrics in our home, he's since decommissioned old and redundant electrics, replaced our consumer unit, and replaced and upgraded switches and light fittings which desperately needed doing. We have plans for him to return to upgrade our porch lights, thermostat and smart doorbell and a bunch of other jobs over the next few months. Always professional, polite, quick and most importantly, does an excellent high quality job, we can't rate him enough.

Sean is my go to for any electrical work. He is always responsive, very professional and does a great job. He has done at least a rewire, investigated some problems, installed some light fittings and fitted a bathroom extractor for us. I appreciate and trust the pragmatic advice.

Not a bad word to say about these gents. An exemplary service from start to finish. The company's namesake, Sean, visited for a thorough consultation, was very friendly, courteous, professional and generous with his time. There was then some back-and-forth (while we were indecisive about matters) during which Sean was helpfully communicative regarding product details and accommodating about scheduling. Then, joined by his equally amiable colleague Brandon, the job itself was proficiently and considerately executed, providing tidy solutions to some spurious work left by historic 'electricians'. The work included installation of two extractor fans and a ceiling light (with remote switch) plus a complete replacement of the fusebox and general assessment of the house's wiring. Very pleased with all the work done and, above all, how it was all conducted (no pun intended). Look no further for an electrician, especially if you're based in the Beckenham/Bromley area.

Sean is an extremely competant electrician, a very hard worker, and performs miracles. He changed our very ancient electrical system into a modern, up to date, easy to operate and efficient one. He istalled Storage Heaters, a new Mother Board and loads more. We would not hesitate to reccomend him, on all levels, professional and personal.

I would stay well clear of this so called electrician. If I could give 0 stars I would. Came to my property to attempt to fix a simple electrical fault. He suggested I should knock down my whole kitchen ceiling which had just been renewed and stated it would cost me thousands to repair the fault as he would also have to lift up the floor boards upstairs. He continuously slagged off my previous electrician and claimed he was not good at the job. He left me worried thinking there was a major fault with my electrics, feeling unsafe in my own home. Had I not told him to leave he was about to smash my new kitchen ceiling with his sledgehammer in multiple places as he could not rectify the issue. As soon as he stepped in the house he set his timer and asked me to pay him for his time when he left even though he did absolutely nothing apart from causing damage to my property. Added to this he spent most of the time on his phone to his dad asking for advice. The kitchen lighting fittings is damaged which will have to be replaced as well as re-plastering the ceiling. To top it off, all of this could have been avoided as my daughter is the one who realised the fault was to do with the electric timer switch and it simply needed resetting!! I would also add I also paid his father who came initially and again could not identify the fault therefore he sent his son who he claimed was very experienced! Definitely would not recommend to anyone

I’ve Used SMK many times the last occasion being March 2024 when they fitted new wall and ceiling lights, hard wired a wi-fi connection and made safe the circuit board issuing minor works certs in the process. Sean and Brandon installed electric supplies and a separate consumer unit to serve outdoor requirements to the front and rear gardens and alleyway. This was lighting for the alley, lighting and sockets for a summer house and bike shed. In addition it included for supplies for motorised actuation of gates and an additional Ring doorbell on the front boundary wall. The work was done to a very high standard with all appropriate certificates issued and I'm very happy with the outcome, Sean even took the time to correct some unsafe feature left over from past installations at the main board. Our house was rewired by Sean’s Dad, Tom and we have used Tom, and now Sean, for all our electrical work since. The most recent job was to fit 2 light fittings which were fiddly but Sean carried out the work carefully and efficiently . On this occasion he added some extra sockets, moved some wall lights, relocated my WiFi router and set up a mesh system and organised other electrical gadgets so it all looks neat and tidy. Sean's work was an absolute picture! He and his dad installed a complete new consumer unit in our (recently bought) Edwardian house. They found all the circuits, checked them all, and then rewired them with individual cut out switches. The bit you never see is in the picture - now hidden behind the metal box - I never knew wires could be so pleasingly arranged! They went the extra mile (in more ways than one!), turned up on time, cleared up after themselves, and entertained us with their stories when they had a short break from the work.

Sean has come to my rescue a few times, mainly to fix some issues that have developed since an extension built by other suppliers. He is accurate, realistic and incredibly professional. I recommend him highly. My only regret is not getting him to do it in the first place…
