We had to have our alarm upgraded to wireless when the phone line was transferred over. It was expensive, and a total waste of money. The panels go off in the middle of the night displaying faults and can only be silenced temporarily. Ace didn’t replicate like for like as we asked so some windows had the old sensors on and we were non the wiser that they weren’t working until we had the window replaced. More recently the alarm panel again started beeping and when we couldn’t silence it they said we needed a call out. I said I didn’t want a call out as I was sick of forking out payment for the alarm. Ryan said he understood we had a lot of snagging issues with our alarm so sent an engineer anyway. Turned out it was a fault with DCL or someone or other further down the chain, and not Ace, and because of this he decided we should be charged for a call out and extra for the time the engineer spent on the phone finding out that this was the problem, even though he didn’t actually fix the problem he merely told us it would re-set once the provider was back on line. Couldn’t he have called from the office to find this out? We have just paid for another year with this company on the monitoring service. Huge mistake. If I can’t get a refund then as soon as the year is up we are moving to another company. The service at Ace used to be good, but now it’s appalling . Don’t trust them as far as I could throw them, which is a ridiculous way to feel about a security firm.
I highly recommend 1st Ace. They are amazing at what they do and have helped our site out of a pickle on many an occasion. I have not once in the last 4 years had a "bad" interaction with any staff on their side and they have always been incredibly helpful and forthcoming with information. I would like to say a massive personal thank you to each and every member of their team for all that they do and have done for us, and I look forwards to working with them further in the future. You are all superb and an absolute credit to yourselves and the company!

The team were prompt, knowledgeable, and made the whole process completely stress-free. What really stood out was the after-sales support—nothing has ever been too much trouble. Every member of the sales and support team we’ve dealt with has been polite, helpful, and genuinely keen to make sure everything is working perfectly. We’re so impressed with the level of service and care we’ve received. Would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy alarm company.

Wish I had never booked with this company! I spent thousands getting all set up with an alarm that I have NEVER been able to use because my (tiny) dogs set it off when I'm out. This was not sorted out by them and I could only use it when my dogs slept in my bedroom overnight so they could not set it off. Then it broke altogether so I couldn't even use it overnight either. I keep getting invoices chasing me to make payment for servicing which I told them I did not want as I didn't want to use their company anymore. I haven't even had the service and the product is not fit for purpose. I feel like they took advantage of the fact I needed an alarm quickly, happily took my money and then never ensured the product did what it was meant to. The manager on the phone is really patronising and pressurising trying to keep getting more money from me despite the awful customer service. I really wish I had taken the time to shop around now and read the Trust Pilot reviews where people seem to of had similar experiences to me.
Recently had a new auto gate fitted at my home. Couldn’t recommend enough. Everyone from the survey to the guys fittings were excellent. Polite, tidy work and great all round. 100% recommend
I'm guessing the men who work for this company have limited intelligence as they cut me up at a roundabout, then swore at me as I used my horn to warn them of my presence. Quite stupid as I have dash cam and the van is labelled up. Use a different company's services for competent employees.
Nice business
When the gate was firstly installed, the customer services were good. Disastrously, our internet cable was damaged on the day when they installed the post. They never claimed it. After sale services was below par, Dave refused to come or to inspect the issues we have the gate, keep being argumentative rather than being helpful to assist the customers. Not recommended to others, please avoid! !

Took a day off work to wait for engineer. No one turned up in the time period given for the visit and no call from company with an explanation. I had to call them only to be told the engineer went home sick and no one was coming out.
Very friendly people. Came to fit a mains powered smoke alarm for me as i didn't want to electrocute myself. Excellent job. Highly recommended.
