Excellent, absolutely recommend Martin Day. Very good communication over email, then arrived on time and with a smile, despite the warm weather. Did a wonderful job replacing a tricky bathroom extractor fan, and gave informed recommendations without being pushy, including spotting an unrelated issue with our fuseboard. I would definitely use Martin Day again. EDIT: ...and have! Martin later carried out an EICR and was an absolute joy to have around, did a fantastic job, giving updates and explanations along the way, and left everything safe and tidy.

I hired Martin a few weeks ago to come and check the distribution board and my general house electrics. This hadn't been carried out for a number of years, and I was planning on selling the house within the next few months. Martin was very thorough and methodical and explained a number of things for me while he checked all the circuits and socket outlets. I also asked him to isolate an old external power point that had a damaged cable in the garden.This gave me peace of mind and would also help with the sale. I can recommend Martin to anyone requiring an electrician, he is a pleasant and experienced tradesman.

Martin is very friendly and very good at what he does. When i called him he wasn't that far away so said he would pop in that afternoon and have a look at the job and he was true to his word he turn up.
Martin is the absolute best. We've had him sorting out every flavour of electrical challenge for 11 years, from the simplest light-switch change to the most gnarly of fiddly tasks. He always finds a solution, he's always on your side, and he appreciates what a good coffee tastes like. If we weren't moving country we'd never choose anyone else.
I requested EICR for the house I was buying. I explained the situation and I asked what I needed. I also informed that the sellers are difficult and requested to call me if any problems. The following day I received the bill, without a call / a text message with any information. It turned out that the inspection could have not been done fully. The company is 1person and has a dual-behavior? Before the job he was polite, but after he was rude and treated me as his fellow no respect whatsoever! He did not pick up the phone, he shouted and he put the phone down. I received rude text messages. I can provide proof of the conversation via the text messages and emails. I don't recommend.

He worked hard to solve some challenges to get the best possible outcome in the circumstances and where there was a bit of work that couldn't be completed as planned, he found an alternate approach and provided clear advice and guidance. Overall, very pleased with the work that was completed.

After I attempted some DIY electrical wiring in my son’s bedroom (which caused several lights in other rooms of my house to no longer work!), you were really quick to come out, find the problem, and professionally fix my botched job!
