Watching the big Grass cutter today doing the field on Hamilton Road Ts25 3en the gentleman doing the work as done an amazing job this is the 2nd time the same person has done the field being a tenant of Hamilton Road its a pleasure seeing someone take pride in their work 10/10

Never enough persons to man the desks. Only one today, so it was a long wait for everyone.

3rd time this year bin hasn't been emptied. No tag on bin. Absolutely useless. No more payments off me!

Excellent service from the refuse team this morning, thank you to the person who dealt with me on the phone and thank you for collecting my missed bin. Sorry I didn't get a name.

If you need to go to the civic for anything be prepared to wait while thier is two people on at any time if you have a complaint forget it as thier answer to everything is lack of funds write it down or call the police homeless then you get told have you got relative's you can go to or a friend that can put you up they get paid and go home unless your giving them money and then they soon listen every one knows who lives in Hartlepool the council do jack hence the state of the streets and all the derlict eye sores we have all over the town unless you work for the council or know some one who does deal with whatever yourself as the council is a waste of time and effort the same as our MP

The streets are littered with rat urine, weeds and rubbish. The dog fecal matter is nearly on ever 5x5 quare meter. The council is placing mounds of money deep in their poo bags.

Shame on you for fining a 76 year old man for feeding the birds while fly tippers run riot. You should hang your heads in shame. Pathetic organisation.

Worst council ever, not helpful and do not support or give correct advice only after money

This council is the embodiment of weaponized incompetence! Extremely rude customer service, make you pay outrageous sums of council tax (and for what?!), failure to take care of litter management and bins are only collected once a fortnight! And let's not mention the laissez faire attitude towards money laundering fronts... Absolutely abysmal!

First tine visting seaton carew today. The place is really nice. But the fact you are charging 30p for every use of a public toilet which we already pretty much pay our taxes its an absaloute joke.

I Go every month and pay my council tax I recently discovered that the payment desk is closed it's now open until 13.00 must be saving money 🤑🤑🤑

Absolutely the most incompetent bunch of people you could ever hope to run in to. Council tennent. Asbestos in loft, been waiting 5 years ish to be sorted. House is damp, took over a year to get a damp treatment which was done only in 1 room where it was the worst. Boiler broke down, attempted repairs on 5 separate occasions and I had to phone again today because instead of repairing my thermostat they disabled it, took it and didn't bother telling me. Made several complaints over 7 years of living here and yet to have an actual apology or any accountability on the part of the council. This is just the tip of the iceberg. This is how they discharge their duty of care to a registered vulnerable and disabled person.

Highways planning have made Wooler Road and Elwick Road an arterial road through the town but there is no evidence of management of these roads, no speed calming or enforcement, I fear a child will be killed before any observance is given. Reporting of failed street lighting here goes ignored and if it was not for those unpaid (and no good pension) hero members of the public who go out cleaning up the streets and cutting grass in communal areas, this town with Council Tax 3 times that of Westminster, would be a complete mess. I'm sure there are some hard working council individuals with some excellent performance but overall Hartlepool council have an appalling record for looking after the heritage the Victorians gifted us with, it's shameful.

they only care about money

I am a private tenant and hartlepool council has been out to my house and seen the property on a few occasions and for months on end I have left massage after massage for them to contact me since November last year I had a solicitor involved with it them are well aware of it and my landlord work for council

First time visitor and hopefully a last time visitor. Nowhere to park when visiting, was told by a member of staff to park in the nearby morrisons because its free for 2 hours. Seemed busy inside. Relatively clean. They do have disabled access ramps. Situated right across from Hartlepool town centre. Nothing much else to add.

Carnt Park near by charges everywhere also find it not very good or understanding

It’s located at the civic center on Victoria Road in Hartlepool. It’s like what is referred to as the local government in Nigeria where major decisions regarding the borough is taken at both county and district level. However I would like to suggest that certain things within the district be changed such enforcing that dog owners should cultivate the habit of cleaning their dog’s poo. It’s somehow embarrassing to see dog’s poo littered all over the place and nothing about it. I would also like that house be properly numbered so that mails are not posted to the wrong addresses

Can I just say, as a resident of Hartlepool, the council is useless. The tax is too high, inflation is mental and it’s extremely bad services.

I am disabled and ask by my 13 yr old gandson to take him to see the museum because his dad died 2 yrs ago at age 45 yrs with covid and need spend some time with him Called in Hartlepool marina because he car was sick. Parked car in disabled bay out side caffie with badge giving time. Four later a fine £100 by NWP arrived. This intrapment because no warning on the yellow parking bay nor near for a disabled person to see it. I will pay bill but I will follow this under Information Act in how many disable person have been coned into thinking because the on the there marina website on goole show a logo to park and not that you have pay for disabled parking. NWP states that there are signs dotted their site. We disable and cant walk around the carpark and even their posted it small letters up great hight. What doing is intrapment and for reason I will take futher and into courts if need be. Hartlepool country council needs to be brought it this because there losing visitors. So Be WARNED do not go there.

What do yi3really expect from Hartlepool council. Over all a useless organisation. Fortnightly bin collections, rediculous high tax and seemily so little services from it. Recently requested a new larger bin as we now have 6 people in our household only to be told repeatedly that there is £64 charge. The bin is not lost or stolen, we just wish for a larger bin that, according to their own website we are allowed now...if we pay them an additional £64. Have to ask what we pay our tax for. Still have to book to use the local skip, get passed about like a hot potatoe when you actually want any information. Dont read emails properly when you send them anything, only interested in taking our taxes and dont give a snot about the people of the town, just their own image.

70 quid fine for parking 20 mins away from marina, small bits of paper on fence really hard to see. Ticketed about 50 cars . Money grabbing bstds. Should be ashamed of yourselves. Stick your tall ships where the sun don't shine from now on. W⚓️s.

I had a great experience with the Council.I called up to enquire about getting a new school for my daughter and I spoke to the School Admissions Officer (Primary)-𝙹𝚊𝚗𝚎𝚝 𝙳𝚎𝚗𝚗𝚒𝚜.She was so helpful and kind and even allayed my anxiety about the whole process.I’m so grateful because I was really having a hard time and she made me feel better.Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

This council is like many, up and down the country. Run by the fat cat complacent society. Qualifications are. belligerence, anti social attitude and ability to waste public money.

Just done a speed awareness course run by Daniel. Really enjoyable and informative believe it or not. Totally unexpected

Being a volunteer litter picker I often have to put in a request for it to be collected. Trying to get through online is usually hopeless. Today (Bank Holiday) the website says they are open. Perhaps someone should tell them they are not. I shall phone up tomorrow when the lady there organises everything well.

Won't even speak on Saturdays and Sundays. And judging by other reviews they're not even helpful when you get through to them.

This Council is notorious for having the highest Council Tax in the country, and probably giving the worst service. Dealing with anyone tends to be a knightmare, you can tell by attitude in most of the departments, that they have no respect for the taxpayers, and beyond any criticism that is thrown at them. Too many to mention on here, but the waste of residents money, is constant. One example, repaired pavements last Summer, knowing full well they would be dug up to install Fibre Broadband, shortly afterwards. Now they are being repaired again. Pure observation not ageism, but my dealings with my local councillors has been dire. Rarely a proper explanation of my complaints, or even a resolve to them, and they scurry away as quickly as possible! They are clearly not up to the job, but enjoy the expenses they receive!! The council tax is about to be increased, and they are going to now charge to have garden waste removed!! They make all the excuses in the world for their shortfall in funds, but I suspect most of it is down to bad management and treating themselves too well. The salaries given to the Chief Councillor and the CEO are abhorrent!!

Not a good start! First time visiting the council in hartlepool. Somehow I have to have extra documentation, which none of our previous staff have had to do!!!! Hmm.

HBC is a disgrace to the PEOPLE of Hartlepool!

In this morning at 9 am i had speed awareness course trainer who was doing this event .He was racist given to me hard time i had very bad experince he claimed my english its not good enough i need interpreter I am living in uk since 25 years he doesnt like i live in center london because he cannot afford to live there. when i have introduced myself he did made fun on my name. I have attached goverment website below.Little advise please pay extra better book course in london you will not be disappointed just remember Racist man Mr Geoff doesnt like people with different skin colour Is it possible to fail a speed awareness course? While there is not a test to pass, if you fail to complete the course in a satisfactory way (not participating or quitting the workshop before it finishes, for example), then you will have to take the points or be summoned to court.

High council tax. Recycling by appointment only five days a week. Streets full of litter and weeds. Not good enough.

It seems that Hartlepool Borough Council has just given up. Emails and complaints simply go unanswered. I regularly report litter / dog fouling / broken glass and fly-tipping issues. Receive automated emails stating: “We visit and if necessary clean every street weekly. We attend the working day after refuse / recycling collections”. The seagulls and rats do more of a job removing the detritus than HBC. Where does the higher than average council tax go? Certainly not on customer service, street sweeping or spectacles for the people that attend the clearly filthy public spaces and deem street cleaning not to be “necessary”.

Bad service

Tried for a number of days to make an appointment for the tip online wish no luck. The tip is outside and the skips separated so why with the restrictions lifted on covid can they not reopen as normal with some restrictions in place but not having to make an appointment

I've recently had dealings with Hartlepool Borough Council regarding an issue with the purchase of a property and was dealt with by Lorraine Bennison. I would just like to thank her for her help. If everyone was as helpful, efficient and friendly as her things would certainly be alot easier in life.

Should have had brown bin emptied today, another no show even though the council calendar said otherwise, this isn't the first time this has happened this year! Brown bin collections are very unreliable these days!

Excellent communication, staff are friendly and helpful. Booked a Regestrar and was very swift and efficient.

The council seem to have a do not reply and it will go away policy. if you are trying to contact someone about a complaint you will probably be wasting your time.

Still waiting on a response from a complaint about one of their health services in hartlepool which was made in Dec 2020...twice I have to add as well. No one is listening no one cares. Why am I paying for a service that doesnt deliver?

Visited for advice and found all staff friendly and efficient.

it's a shame that 1 star is the lowest option... this town, and council that run it, has become a joke! Turning the street lights off to save money! I thought retrofitting them to LED lights would be enough, but apparently not. why didn't you just turn them off in the first place, instead of wasting time and money upgrading, to then just turn them off!! These clowns need stopping!!

I am still dealing with three formal complaints. One of which was a very serious breach in our civil liberties in theform of illegal searches of our home and assault on the gaining of the illegal entry without warrants. The police refuse to investigate the assaults and aggravated burglary and the council refuse to investigate their employees who committed these crimes. Stephen Phillips and jo Moore.
