Contacted GASLEC as needed a gas hob disconnected and a new one fitted. Great communication throughout and the engineer was cheerful and arrived on time. A small issue we had following the visit was sorted out quickly and efficiently by Kim and the engineer. Would highly recommend.

Gaslec responded quickly to my enquiry, they gave me a reasonable quote and scheduled the work the next week. This check fed into my conveyance proceedings, Keenan communicated with both estate agent and the seller to arrange a time for it. Afterwards, I was sent the results and proof of the appointment and following payment received a certificate of condition. The process was quick, easy and well-managed. I'd happily recommend Gaslec.

I have been using Gaslec for more than 10 years now and as a landlord with student properties I definitely need a dependable and responsive Gas and Electricians team. Ever since using Gaslec I have had nothing but good experiences. They always act swiftly, never messed me about and make the impossible happen, sometimes even out of hours and on weekends! Their engineers are all highly skilled and polite and well organised and always happy to explain everything in detail if needs be. Equally their quotes are clear and precise. Friendly and fast service. Had a gas safety cert done as well as a boiler service. Pricing better than others I was quoted. Chap who did the work was helpful and answered a handful of random questions I had - as a first time home owner who knows nothing I really valued the input.

First time using Gaslec. Our Combi boiler had been giving trouble for a couple of months and another company was not able to determine what was wrong. Eventually the boiler failed completely and we decided to try Gaslec on a recommendation. The Gaslec engineer was very diligent in working out what the problem was, including phoning the boiler manufacturer several times, and our boiler is now working properly again at last.

I have to say, my boiler service was a delight to observe. I work in a training centre where gas engineers are trained and reassessed. This was a customer service of the highest degree. Engaging, confident and professional are the words I would use to describe my experience. First class and from me, I never say things like this, unless I really mean it. Already booked for next year.

For them to look at my boiler a year ago as it kept losing pressure. They told me I needed a new boiler and I can buy one off them for 3k. Got a second opinion and another plumber fixed my boiler for £80. Has been working perfectly since. Be very careful with this company and get a second opinion.

The engineer who came to service my boiler was smart and presentable, but did not stay longer than 25 mins and told me that I needed a new expansion vessel. I contacted the manufacturer's appointed engineers, who came to undertake this work and they informed me that the Gaslec engineer had misdiagnosed the problem, which turned out to be a blocked pipe. No new expansion vessel needed! No, I do not recommend Gaslec.

Paul at gaslec is a top bloke, if you're looking for an honest tradesman - definitely go with gaslec. I was looking to get underfloor heating but he explained very articulately that it didn't work with current boiler setup and I should install a rad for £200 instead. Definitely will be using gaslec again going forward.

I can't praise Gaslec highly enough. They respond immediately to any queries and sent someone around at very short notice when our boiler stopped working. When fitting a new boiler, everything went very smoothly. The fitters arrived on time, did a thorough job and left everything neat and tidy. Their customer service is excellent.

Resolution of an intermittemnt fault! In short, we had an intermittent fault with our shower. There was a difference of opinion between the shower manufacturer and Gaslec as to what was the cause. Gaslec came out and found the fault in the "mains board". No extra charge. Professional and friendly. Very pleased to have a working shower again!

I asked this company to conduct a report on the electrics of a studio flat in Exeter that I am hoping to purchase. The company undertook the inspection on 25 June 2024, and submitted their report on 27 June, just two days later. They did a very good job.

We only recently moved to exeter..we found it challenging to find good reliable sensibly priced corgi registered gas people and plumbers. This company are fantastic throughout the whole process. We chatted to a lovely lady who scheduled our work and it was only a three hour time slot…brilliant The man came but there was an issue with our new gas hob’s placement.. We replaced it how he asked..emailed (with pictures) the new position etc they immediately re-scheduled within that week.. All worked carried out and the Gas man was incredibly helpful with further advice to another job we want doing in the future. Couldn’t recommend this company more.. Very sensibly priced. My shower started giving out only cold water, I called Gaslec and asked what my options were, Kim was so helpful she explained things simply for me as I have no idea about any of it and she gave me so many options and explained through each to ensure I had all the information. Neil that came round to do the work was so friendly and again explained everything thoroughly. The work was completed within a couple of days of calling and I honestly could not have asked for more. From first contact with this business I found the office staff very polite and very accommodating when trying to book my initial assessment appointment. Once requitements were seen at my home I had a quote within 24 hours The plumbers when they came were punctual, polite understanding of my requirements and very tidy and keen to clean up and put furniture back in place I am very pleased with the the end result and my new radiators are heating the house very efficiently Old radiators were also taken away which could be a major benefit to some people. This business set us back weeks, telling us the day before they were due that the parts hadn't arrived. We had to rearrange all the other trades and agreed a new date. They turned up eventually but completed only half the job. No electric radiators replaced, no bathroom lights replaced. Front door handle broken. No communication at all,found out after the event once they had left. Obviously didn't forget to invoice us! Will never use them again.

Engineer had parked two vehicles totally blocking shared pavement / cycle path close to a corner. When asked to move and told of the danger he was causing by making people walk in the road the engineer shrugged his shoulders and rolled out standard “just here for a minute mate” response. I tried to persevere and ask them to move but they refused. Engineer informed me he was the boss so appears to be nobody else to raise this with. Company attitude appeared to suck!

Although they may be more expensive than some other companies, you do have access to their friendly staff at head office; they have credit card facilities, are professional and are on time. We’ve had cause to use them three times in the last 8 weeks, (a) tap replacement, (b) gas cooker installation and (c) a replacement boiler. on all three occasions the engineer has turned up when they said they would, explained clearly what they were going to do, done what they said they would do, fixed the problem / done the work, left site clean and tidy and then charged what they'd said they would when asked to quote.

GASLEC- what a company ! Maybe they should be renamed: GAS-SLICK. It would be apt ! The whole team is efficient and friendly,but special mentions to Mary and Natasha in the office for their excellent service. And of course Jack,our engineer.He quickly grasped the complexities of dismantling our existing ancient Heath- Robinsonish Central heating system (leadpipes and all !) ,and expertly devised a planofaction, which he then proceeded to expedite with speed ,professionalism and calm assurance; whilst all the time explaining to us the workings of the new installation, and fielding our many questions with infinite patience. He even BRASS-ed the boiler's exposed copper pipes until they gleamed brightly- beautiful ! We were left with a radiating warm feeling ! !

Gaslec engineers were called in to service the boiler and investigate a leak on an external pipe. Jack was extremely professional and efficient. Boiler serviced and leak in external pipe fixed. Called out because we had no pressure in our heating system, subsequently we decided to get a new boiler instead of repairs, as it was all but 15 years old already. Then they sent us Jack. If you're going to have someone come into your house for the better part of 3 days ripping things out and installing things... Jack's the guy to get. Jack runs well on coffee and will dignify all of your inane questions about heating with answer that you'll be able to understand. Paul should definitely give him a raise and Chelsea matchdays off for being a top bloke. Jack also fended off a man trying to get hold of his copper pipe, a valiant display of the moral integrity that I assume this company has as a whole. Overall 5 stars

Fantastic company who really know their business. We live in an old house with a complex and slightly delicate hot water and heating system. Gaslec came and had a look - explained in a very clear way what needed to be done and why. The removal of the old boiler and installation of the new one was seamless. They were on time and extremely clean which was a great.

Excellent service, from the moment the phone was answered by Mary Moran. Absolutely charming and extremely helpful after being let down by Rightio Ho plumbing. As I was looking to get our boiler service before the sale of our house and we had a tight time frame to work with, Mary managed to squeeze us in and we had the service paperwork emailed to us promptly, so it could be forwarded onto our solicitor quickly. Thank you Mary, one less stress to deal with!

We accepted a quote from Gaslec to provide and install a new gas oven plus take away the old one. We could have got a significantly cheaper quote elsewhere but agreed as they were able to do it quickly. Part of the quote £126 was for adjusting the existing gas pipes and fitting. The pipes didn't need adjusting (literally it was a case of connecting the tube) and the fitter was there for an hour at most. We asked for a reduction. Also we agreed to pay £65 to take the old oven away. It was in a housing unit and we assumed they would take that too. We said we wanted it removed on the same day. 2 days later the oven and housing unit were still outside the property, along with the packaging for the new oven. The next day, the oven was gone but the packaging and unit were still there. This was unacceptable to us and again we asked for a reduction. We were repeatedly just told we must pay the full quote. My husband spoke to the director, Paul Milford on the telephone. Paul threatened him, saying that unless we paid in full he would return to the house and enter and remove the oven. (we had no issue paying for the oven or delivery and most of the installation cost and had explained this). The property is occupied by students and we are abroad. We contacted the police to get advice. They advised that if he entered without permission he would be charged. The aggressive attitude of the director left us with no option but to pay in full as we didnt want to cause unnecessary stress to our students. The police advised us to tell the students to call 999 if he turned up. We didnt want to involve them so paid. Paul Milford threatened my husband and said to him, "what's wrong with you mate, are you poor?". His wife, also a director did not address our issues either and wouldnt allow either myself or my husband to get a word in on the phone. My emails were disregarded. This firm were due to do electrical remedial work for us in the next couple of weeks and informed us that unless we paid in full for the oven work they would not attend. This is blackmail. So, we paid in full but are extremely unhappy with the service, shaken, angry and want an apology and partial refund.

Had a problem with our boiler tripping electrics. Engineers discovered a fault on the boiler. They had to order parts which took a week due to Bank Holiday. However it was fixed today by Luke who was very competent and careful. Also a very friendly guy. We are delighted to have heating and hot water. Would highly recommend this company.

Paul and Jason replaced our boiler 3 working days after we placed the order, and were very professional, prompt, clean and organised. They protected the carpet in their work area and cleared everything up afterwards. Paul even thought to prepare a painted wooden panel to line the boiler cavity, leaving the new installation looking very neat. Although we had a service contract with the national gas company, they were unable to send an engineer for 5 days after the old boiler stopped working, leaving us with no hot water or heating. Ike carried out our annual gas inspection, she did an amazing job and was very friendly.

Always very quick to respond and work is always carried out promptly. I have used Gaslec for multiple properties now for electric, heating and plumbing. Can also be relied upon to explain everything clearly in layman terms which is helpful particularly with electrical work!

Had an issue with my boiler, with it simply not turning on due to a loose wire. Called around 1pm and in 15mins I had an appointment for 2pm and it was all fixed by 2.30pm. Very pleased and highly recommend!

Spotted that my Boiler Service was just overdue and rang Gaslec for help - they were able to send someone out with 48hrs as requested (could have even done the next day if I had wanted). I have used Gaslec regularly over the years for both my central heating system and also electrical work. I have always found them to be very reliable, professional and helpful. If I ever have an issue I always go to them as my first option.

Excellent service, had a boiler fault and we were up and running again in fewer than 24 hours. Engineer actually arrived earlier than originally discussed, and was knowledgeable about our boiler without having to consult the manual. Problem solved, would definitely recommend.

Extortionate pricing and Quote, £78.00 for under 10 minutes work !( turn on turn off a gas fire) !, I would advise Anyone thinking of engaging this firm to get a written breakdown of everything beforehand, including "free" Quote !.

I called GasLec at 2.30pm today to see if an engineer could come and look at my ancient boiler which had broken down and left me without hot water or heating. The gaslec engineer arrived within half an hour and by 3.15pm he had diagnosed and fixed the problem (water pressure switch had blown). Amazing service. Polite. Prompt. Professional. I’m incredibly impressed and enormously grateful.

I used Gaslec for a gas and electrical safety check and they were very professional. Easy to contact via email. They fitted me in within a week and a half. There initial prices for the checks are good. Only small issue was £80 for a 10minute job but thats the way it is. Overall very happy with there service.

Check the call out charges and shop around before going anywhere near these guys! An engineer came to look at our leaky boiler - I had already identified where the leak was coming from so just needed to know if it was easily repairable or needed to be replaced. He took a quick look and gave the correct advice. I was then billed £78 for this call out! I was expecting to pay a small call out fee but £78 is ridiculous and the first time it was mentioned was when I received the invoice. This was offered to be deducted if I got the boiler replaced or repaired by them but the quote was horrendous - 40 to 50% above others I have had since. The parts for the work amount to around £1200 leaving £1400 of labour for a days work replacing a boiler in its existing position. Again, definitely shop around before booking anything with Gaslec - you will find quality work at a far, far better price.

Disappointing expensive for a few minutes pushing buttons without repair!! No advice on problem either after a polite request to the office lots of promise no action!! Communications mixed diagnosis wrong problem fixed now courtesy of a reputable customer service based company unlike these.

Such a shame that the driver of vehicle ending (FFH) decides to drive dangerously and erracticly Infront of the public eye. Letting your company down.
