Polarity Electrics London Ltd carried out an EICR and remedial works at my property. Very easy to get booked in and a reasonable price for all. Upon calling to discuss the remedial works required they were very polite, explained exactly what was required and why, according to up to date regulations. Really great service and I would highly recommend.

What a horrible, service. I had this company 27nd Feb to do an RICR and they give me appoint 4th of march 2026 . When i try for report 2-5 working day and they give me after 7 days. wail i have try to call them for find out if thereiny fold all ways phone goes to voice They never said anything while there No phone call And eicr tests take

Had the pleasure of dealing with Tyler Prosser, i urgently needed works done on a unsatisfactory report for a scheduled move in and without any debate he moved things round in their diary to fit these works in ready so i didn't have to delay a scheduled move in, as a lettings agent i couldn't be more grateful, would highly recommend. Thank you so much for your help guys! will be coming back in the future for further work needed :)

Ordered an EICR. A different electrician than expected turned up. When asked if everything was ok he said yes and left. I had to chase for 5 days to get the EICR which was required for for new tenants to move into the flat. Finally received it and there were works required. Had this been communicated on the day it could have been rectified. As it is the tenants can’t move in before Christmas as planned. Awful.

avoid at all costs, i've been waiting 17 days for an electrical report

⭐ 1 Star I booked an EICR for Monday and everything was confirmed. Then, the evening before, I receive the usual last minute message claiming the engineer suddenly had a family emergency. After reading other Google reviews, it is clear this company experiences more family emergencies than any business I have ever encountered. The consistency is almost impressive. This company shows no professionalism and absolutely no respect for customers’ time. They wait until the last moment to cancel, offer the same repeated excuse, and expect customers to simply accept it. If you are looking for reliability, honesty and basic customer service, look elsewhere. If you want wasted time and hollow excuses, this company will deliver every time.

Do no use this company Unless you have lots of patience! Took 2 weeks to get an appointment for an EICR. 4 weeks after that date I still hadn't received the report. All this time I had been chasing and chasing via email, phone and leaving answerphone messages. Not once did I receive a reply. 6 weeks from first booking the EICR I got an invoice for £240 for a 2 bedroom EICR. What a joke. Update: They since updated the invoice to £120 and I have now received my EICR.

Please do not use this company!!!! I needed an EICR certificate. They charged me 70 quid for a certificate. They cancelled my booking once and then rebooked for them to go again. At time of booking I also had to pay there parking charge. They visited the property and I had not heard back for a few days regarding my certificate so I chased them, I was told they told me it would take a few days. Eventually a week later I received an invoice of remedial work of almost £350!!!!!!! When i visited the property with a trusted used electrician he said that he was shocked I received such a high bill as he didn't see an issue on why I was not given a EICR certificate. They were charging me 100 quid alone to change a kitchen socket. Replace a light bulb 45 quid, replace a shaver socket 75 which was just disconnected so rather then asking if i wanted it connected and so on. They failed me over really stupid small issues and wanted a ton of money for it. Scammers !!!!!

PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING THEM. go to local guys. Quick to respond with new queries once they reel you in they are the slowest to respond. You can get to respond by putting a new query. First engineer made me wait for the appt time after several calls he calls to tell me he is tiedup at a different location and will take 2 hrs and wanted to reschedule. After complaining he calls me in 20 mins that he is 10 mins away from my location. I had to return back to site. Failed EICR 1st time for no earthing. And IP to be repaired. They charges were assumption to pay upfront. Remedial work done is not according to the first advice or assumptions. Earthing wire was short so just connected it and blocked the socket as he was not comfortable pulling the wire. 130 quid plus vat to inspect any further repairs for 5 sockets. The remedial was done on just one socket connected and blocked it. The others automatically got reconnected which the first engineer knew. Took 90mins just to search 1.5 mm earthing in his van and buy a cover for socket to block from further use. 45 quid plus vat to repair IP but they put a 3 inch silicon sealant bcz he was not able to put rubber rings. Total of 210 spent plus 70 quid on 1st inspection When you challenged them they stopped responding. Charges are on assumptions and not the work... Be careful!!! You are warned

Polarity entice you in with a cheap EICR but then catch you out with over priced remedial work. They completed the EICR inspection on my property, failed it on two plug sockets and quoted £300 to repair! They then failed to respond to me for over a month as I wanted to challenge the quote. I've ended up going with a different electrician to fix the issues and re-do the EICR for less than polarity wanted for the remedial work. Such a joke!

I should have read the reviews first before booking them. May be this will review along with others will help the next person. The initial low price for EICR is just a business model to hook customers and fail them with expensive follow up tasks. I didnt go with the quotes provided - it was ridiculously high. Local guy did the work much much cheaper. These guys are proper scammers. If it's not too late for you - STAY AWAY.

I am absolutely flabbergasted at the unprofessional behaviour of your member of staff. I was there to get the report and understand if there were any issues. During the time he said nothing, failed me for things like an unscrewed ceiling rose (as wede painted) so instead of pointing it out he kept quiet and failed me. In terms of other items that I have no clue what they mean, instead of him pointing them.out he said nothing. He then said all.done and left. What an absolute unhelpful person. I now have to redo the certificate and.lose a lot of time.getting into the property. I really do not recommend this company.

Completed EICR when they said they would

I have your EICR report which was done by Kane Reynolds which was reviewed by Haydn Henley. You failed the eicr saying no cpc continuity and other broken accessories which is fine but I got it looked at by another electrician who found no issues with that and he tested the whole installation and found no issues at all with any of the circuits. How can you record reading of r1 0.73 when the actual reading is 0.43. On another ring circuit you have recorded r1 0.69 but the actual reading is 0.39 and the third ring circuit you have on your certificate r1 0.69 and the actual reading is 0.39. The r2 reading were 0.70 ish. Do your test properly. I wonder why your eicr price is so cheap. I will leave reviews about this on every site I find you registered with. Next time do your job properly. I will contact MyConstructor and report to them about you cheating on the eicr.

Cancelled 4mins before the scheduled booked appointment but not only that now are struggling to refund the cost of the booking. Ridiculous company.

My experience with Polarity has been great. I’m always very nervous about having any work done in my house because I’ve been burned by rubbish tradesmen and poor customer service before. But I’ve been really pleasantly surprised by the work Polarity have done for me. They did a swift EICR report for me when I needed it and more recently replaced all my electric fan heaters with liquid filled electric radiators. The communication prior to the job was good, the workmen were extremely polite and hoovered up after themselves afterwards which was lovely (and unusual in my experience with tradesmen!). The electrician also programmed my heaters for me and took time and patience to show me how to amend the settings myself which really made all the difference to me. I will definitely use Polarity for any future electrical work if I need it.

Stay away from them. They will let you down in last second.

Very poor service as electrician tried to rip me off with replacing lights that did not need replacing.

ZERO communications. I had to chase and strongarm Polarity so much to get anything out of them. This was for an EICR which they should full-well know has a time limit on it. The work itself was....fine. But I'd never go with them. I even had to chase them to give them money. Like other reviews, some of the work seemed unnecessary, but they had me over a barrel, didn't they?

Terrible unprofessional company. Nothing but stress. I have had an Electrical Inspection Report carried out, the usual person that does this for me could not do it. I chose the cheapest. £95 seemed great, but it cost me more overall. Lost money as we waited more than 2weeksfor this report. No response. Calls were never picked up. The report was never sent. They raised so many adverse points. Current EICR was stil valid for another 3 years and no adverse issues raised. Having gone to another Electrician it seems the latest report carried out by Polarity was just to force us to spend money on unnecessary works. If you read all the reviews, most people experienced the same issue. Avoid them like a plague. Will never use them again or recommend to anyone. I regret dealing with them

What a horrible, horrible service. I had this company attend my property 22nd June to do an eicr with a promise a turn around of a couple of days. When they attended the were there 10 minutes before walking out saying we will be in touch. 10 days later still nothing 14 days later an email arrives saying we want 200 plus to put right some wrongs they found. They never said anything while there No phone call And eicr tests take 2to4 hours And they have taken over 10 days to report back not for geting they are impossible to reach. This is a warning to people that want to use this company. DO NOT USE THEM no matter how cheap they may appear When they attended. What makes matters worst.. I called another company and it passed first time.

Had a full electrical test done today by Paul from Polarity Electrics and what an excellent service he provided. Very efficient and very thorough. Highly recommended.

I will update this post next Wednesday 17 June. I have had an Electrical Inspection Report carried out, the usual person that does this for me could not do it because of health reasons do I chose the cheapest. £95 seemed great, but now I wonder. 6 adverse points were raised, previous points raised were alway nil. Having gone to a third Electrician it seems the latest report carried out by Polarity is “a bit harsh”. I will update later. I also think their quote with 20% off may be expensive. Again, will update exact figures later.

So I find the customer service at Polarity Electrics good but the engineer assigned to my area (Surrey) utterly disgraceful when it comes to reliability. I waited hours for a service, gave an excuse rescheduled for the next day and didn't show up. I would expect that with the economy when everyone is expecting to do their part to improve transactional activities, this engineer will do his bit. Unfortunately, I will not be using Polarity Electrics Ltd again!

Would not recommend ! In response to the review below. We have since asked someone else to look at what you did and funnily enough it passed. I find that strange don't you ! We don't need you to do the work thanks and I now have the certificate and the cost of the work was 2/3rds less than what you stated. It has a pass certificate now but Thank you for your concern !

Booked through local heroes, they confirmed and then I heard nothing from them. After chasing them up myself a number of times they kept saying they were waiting on a quote from their suppliers. Had requested the hero to come on this day as it was a weekday that I was available. Waste of time, and no communication. Clowns

Following a conversation with a Polarity employee after contacting them via Local Heroes I detailed the work required. Received quote the next day however details of the job we discussed wereomitted. To avoid any dispute I asked for these details to be included in the cost estimate. I repeated the details of the work required online. Exactly the same as the first conversation with Polarity. I duly received a second quote which was almost a 300% increase on the first quote. I immediately cancelled the job and went with a more reliable and more cost efficient alternative. An alternative that was almost 300% less costly than Polarity.

I called twice for a quote and both times I was cut off by the male who initially answered. I certainlly would not recommend this company for very POOR customer service.

Awful service, attended on behalf of local hero’s, who I use a lot for my property maintenance throughout the Country. They attended, didn’t fix the problem or advise me what the issue was, just requested payment of the call out. Despite numerous attempts to be advised of the problem, the owner of this Company continued to request his call out charge. Wasted my time as the issue is still unresolved and I have a unhappy tenant... if you can’t do the job, don’t accept it through Local Heros, as you are giving them a bad reputation.

They fitted a replacement extractor fan for my kitchen. My mother and I are very happy with it. Before the electrician left I asked for his name - Lincoln. Found him to be very professional and friendly to my family also. Thank you.

Expensive because emergency call out - but came on Saturday morning and worked quickly and efficiently - worth the money.

Terrible service. I was looking for an EICR on a property I am purchasing, entered the details onto a tradesman finder and these guys emailed me a quote asking me to call them. Called them and they said they would arrange an appointment with the estate agents. Didn't hear anything back, I emailed again asking them again if they had set a date, still no reply. How can you trust them to do the job if you cant even trust them to communicate with you?
