We used Martin Kaine to do an EICR certification on an apartment. It wasn't Martin personally, but the electrician was on time, friendly and competent. He identified some work needed to meet new regs regarding fire safety and we arranged for this to be done. The costs seemed reasonable for the work done.

Recently moved to our new home and needed unexpected electrical works done. Ian came out and assessed the job and was so helpful and understanding. The job was booked in and completed within a week. Martin and Ian were super responsive and answered all our questions. We will definitely be using Martin Kaine again should the need arise. The customer service was excellent as was their work.

I wholly recommend MKE I’ve had Ian round for a few jobs & always deliver but last job he was amazing after my cameras stopped working. I was sent replacements which weren’t the original ones. Ian spent over an hour of having a long argument on the phone with company (who sent cameras) were no help whatsoever, he would not give up & eventually got the new ones working. First class!

Martin handled an EICR for me with trusted efficiency, liaised with tenants directly, completed within timescale required, and kept costs to a minimum, I wouldn’t use anyone else.

Martin’s team rewired our victorian terrace just over a year ago and did a fab job. A pleasure to interact with daily and they were patient with our requests. They were realistic with their time frame and did the work for a fair price. We very recently also asked for someone to come out for an emergency appointment after our carpet fitter had cut into one of our wires and were had someone come and see us within an hour. Very happy, would recommend.

Martin Kaine Electricians carried out two extractor fan installations for us. This included drilling through the wall, routing cabling and installing the fan. The process was seamless and Ian / team are great electricians. Extremely happy and would definitely use once again.

The guys came round and fitted a new light fitting that my wife had bought. Considering the job had proved to be a little bit difficult due to the location of the light. They did it very well and I will be using them again as I have other electrical stuff that I will want doing in the future.

Martin has done various works in my new house so far. He has fitted a new wide hob that required cutting out the worktop and fitted in a new oven which required moving and making safe a gas pipe. Neither were particularly straightforward jobs but he managed to resolve the issues encountered. Martin is personable, helpful and very professional and explains thoroughly what's needed without being condescending. He turns up when he says and communicates well. His quotes are detailed and fair. Martin is a real find and I'll be using him for a lot more jobs in the future. He has a real 'can do' attitude and has a vast skill set. Martin installed a new kitchen ring main and radials for appliances on a kitchen installation for my business. I have used him many times before when he lived closer to me, but unfortunately have not been able to use him as often as I would have liked when he moved to Colchester. I was let down by another local electrician and Martin was able to rescue me at very short notice. As always, he was polite, professional and cost effective. I wish he lived nearer!!!

Tricky job, running cables from an existing ring main to install new sockets, to be achieved without damaging wall paper etc. A clever route was eventually found. That took far longer than envisaged due to unforseen obstacles, but I was still charged the original quoted price. Highly recommend.
