The Plumber examined the toilet flush valve system and arranged to order a new one. On his second visit he fitted it in minutes and it works perfectly.Very pleased with the service My one qualification is the £400 charge which seems a large sum for a straigh forward repair.

Positive Contractors originally attended our business premises to carry out an electrical safety inspection and subsequently completed all of the remedial works required at a fantastic price. From start to finish, the service was excellent. The engineers arrived on time, were professional, clean and tidy, and everything was completed with minimal disruption to our business. We actually didn't realise at the time how many other services Positive Contractors offered. Since that initial job, we have used them for all sorts of maintenance works, including electrics, plumbing, gas and general handyman jobs, and they have been absolutely brilliant every time. It's great having one reliable company we can call for pretty much everything rather than having to deal with lots of different contractors. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Positive Contractors and have already recommended them to a number of our own clients. Excellent service, competitive pricing and a genuinely reliable team. Aircon may not be one of their strengths (they may be good at other stuff although they mention not highlight aircon on their website). But... they came to my property to assess a unit issue without asking for house layout/structure, the system configuration, any relevant history. To be fair the managing agent could have provided at least some of this information after requesting them, so perhaps something was lost in communication. But I did provide feedback that they can't charge for a visit where they couldn't access all parts of the system and then charge another 1500 quid for diagnosing a second time. For 2k I could get a new unit installed, which is close to what they would have charged for diagnosing with a team to get up on to a flat roof via a skylight. This is done regularly with something slightly longer than a household step ladder to clean leaves. Not exactly Mission Impossible. They couldn't even confirm if parts on the system were obsolete until they made this second pricey visit. No other aircon company in the last 19 years had this approach.Rather than take this feedback, and come back with a follow up, they decided to disengage.

I recently used Positive Contractors to help get my rental property ready for new tenants, including a new EICR, EPC and installation of new flooring. From start to finish, the team were excellent. They turned up when they said they would, took real pride in their work, cleaned up properly afterwards and made sure I was completely satisfied before considering the job finished. What I particularly appreciated was having one company I could rely on to coordinate several different jobs rather than having to manage multiple trades myself. When I subsequently had an unexpected issue with the fridge just before the tenants moved in, they also helped arrange a replacement and installation quickly and at a better price than I’d found elsewhere. Everything was completed in time for the new tenancy, communication throughout was great, and nothing felt like too much trouble. They even managed to rescue a bird that got itself into trouble while they were working at the property, which probably wasn’t on the original job sheet! 😂 A genuinely positive experience from a team who clearly care about what they do. I’d happily use Positive Contractors again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I have used Positive in the past and I wanted to give an up to date review. In a world where customer service seems to be diminishing day by day, Positive buck the trend. Their customer service is second to NONE in their field (and I’ve dealt with many trade companies). The workmanship is excellent! They leave the job cleaner than how they found it and lights look great. My only regret is having to wait a little time to be booked in because they are so in demand (sign of a good electrician!). I feel like I’ve been given a golden ticket as I now have a contact for everything we may need in our new home and confident they’ll do a great job on anything else i may need.

I initially contacted them in September 2024 for a routine heating system assessment, a service we undertake annually to ensure proper maintenance. Prior to their involvement, our system was functioning perfectly. However, after their assessment, they recommended replacing thermostats in two rooms—the kitchen and the main bedroom. This is where everything went wrong. After the thermostat replacements, our heating system became completely unreliable. The bedroom heater stopped working entirely, leaving us in freezing conditions during the winter months when temperatures were below zero. This was particularly distressing as I have a young child at home. Despite numerous attempts to contact the company for assistance, we were met with unprofessional and rude responses from their team. They consistently avoided taking responsibility for the issues and dismissed our concerns. Appointments were canceled last minute, and we were left without any clear resolution for months. Their lack of accountability and poor customer service was shocking. We explained our situation repeatedly, only to feel ignored and pushed aside. Instead of addressing the problem, they requested additional details from us as though we were working for them, further delaying any possible resolution. Out of sheer frustration, I hired an independent plumbing company to investigate the issue. Their findings were alarming—cables connecting the thermostats to the programming board were incorrectly installed, causing the thermostats to regulate the wrong rooms. This is a basic oversight that should have been identified during the initial assessment. The independent contractor resolved the issue, and for the first time since September, my family and I were able to enjoy a properly heated home. This entire ordeal has been exhausting and costly. We paid £500 for a service that not only failed to address our needs but also created additional problems. On top of that, we incurred higher electricity bills and the cost of hiring another contractor to fix their mistakes. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. Ever since they replaced the thermostats, we have completely lost control over our heating. Before, we could turn it up, down, or off, now, nothing changes no matter what settings we use. The living room is constantly boiling, other rooms are freezing and then suddenly really hot and it's been like this for months. We've had endless back and forth, and despite multiple visits from their engineer Charlie—who was the only one actually trying to help—nothing has been fixed. Every time they adjusted something, another issue appeared. Instead of taking responsibility, the office staff, especially Amie, have been extremely rude and dismissive. I called again this morning explaining the issue for the 20th time and kindly asked for a refund so we could hire someone who would be able to fix the issue. Not only was I spoken to very rudely and mocked by the lady on the phone, but they flat-out refused and told me that we were ''moaning'' about the temperature when the actual issue is that we can’t control it at all ever since they came. Their only “solution” was to send Charlie back for the 7th time, but with the catch that if he deemed the thermostats to be “working,” they would charge us for the visit, as if we were lying about the issue. I pointed out that Charlie had already come multiple times and that this was becoming a waste of time for everyone so I requested to speak directly with management but I mocked again and told no one was available. At this point, we’ve sent multiple emails explaining everything, and management have just ignored them. We’ve tried to be patient and understanding but after our last call we understood that they absolutely didn't care. Avoid this company unless you want to waste your time and money.

Honestly - fantastic. Super efficient and knowledgable. Here is my Negative experience with Positive contractors from last week: They were recommended by a board director at an estate agent. So, I called to get a quote for installing two full brand new bathrooms (substantial piece of work). Booked an appointment with Amy and she said Ben would be there the following morning between 8 - 9; I expected someone to ring the door bell (block of flats with concierge and door bells outside for each flat). The following morning I had a missed call at 8.17; I called back 8 mins later at 8.25 and then 5 mins later once again at 8.30 on the number ending 470. No response. No one had rang the door bell. I checked with concierge - no one sought access. I then had a call from Amy after 9am enquiring. I explained to her the status and said I was not impressed that despite my calling back twice, no call was returned - I had stayed at home that morning specifically for this appointment. I offered to share the call records screenshot from my phone with her. She said she would find out what had happened and come back. Then radio silence for the last week. Very odd indeed and unimpressed. Perhaps they should have quality control to monitor telephone bookings and where their staff really are! They just lost out on a significant 5-figure opportunity.

Peter Popescu, one of their engineers, visited my flat today to change the thermostat and he was extremely professional. His knowledge of his field and his willingness to share information about how things were connected in my flat was astounding. Peter comes across as very passionate about his job and went above and beyond to be helpful. He spotted several issues that I was oblivious to and made sure that I was aware of them, explaining in detail how they should be fixed and adding them to his list for his next visit to my apartment. We are very happy with the service we received from Positive Contractors. We had a number of electrical jobs to be done including replacing faulty sockets, replacing a faulty bathrooom extractor fan, a faulty doorbell and faulty ceiling light fittings. Lewis and Jack arrived promptly and were very pleasant, efficient and tidy. They took all their rubbish away and the jobs were completed much sooner than we expected with a minimum of fuss. Everything is working well.

Fast service and professional service. They were able to send someone the next day and fix the switch to my bathroom lights. Their electrician, Ebrima even taught me why the switch had stopped working and explained a few things on how the wiring was done. Top notch!

I used Positive Electrical Contracts Ltd to remove and replace a kitchen extract fan and a fluorescent fitting in my kitchen. The Electrician arrived at the agreed time and worked without taking a break until the work was complete. The work was carried out competently, cheerfully and to a high standard. The removal of the old fan and installation of a replacement fan was done very neatly with minimal mess. The kitchen was left in a very clean state and all the rubbish was removed and taken away. The invoice for the work was for the previously agreed amount. I would not hesitate to recommend this company will use them again for any electrical work I need carried out.

Ben arrived on time and introduced himself. He worked all the way through the day on the various jobs we'd agreed in advance, some of which were very fiddly. We have 4 dogs and he was very patient when one of our larger dogs took an immediate liking to Ben and tried to follow him around the house throughout the day! He was very pleasant and courteous and finished at the time we discussed in the morning without taking a break. The quote was very competitive too. I would definitely recommend.

Very happy with the work done. I had an external plug socket put on a balcony which I’ve been wanting to have done for a while. The electrician was courteous and finished the work in such a way that the socket was not too obvious and the conduit was practically invisible. I used Positive Electrical to install and setup my smart thermostat and to change a number of light switches, sockets and light fixtures in my house. They did a really good job.  Let me know that they were on the way to my house and arrived on time.  Did a great job and kept tidying up as they went.  They did everything I wanted and took time to explain how everything worked ok. If I ever have any electrical work again in the future I would definitely use Positive Electrical. My elderly parents need some work doing and I plan on using Positive Electrical as I trust them to do a good job.

The electrician was efficient, tidy and polite and most importantly was equipped with all of the relevant equipment and had clearly been briefed thoroughly which meant that a relatively complex issue was solved within 24 hours and I think the flat was tidier than when he arrived. A situation that could have seen us without power for days ended up being a painless experience. Thanks again.
