GU Solutions Ltd

I called GU Solutions as they came highly recommended by a friend, who had used them before. From the moment I first contacted them, via a phone call, to the moment I thanked their electrician as he packed up his van and left, I was so glad I called them as the service I received was flawless. Excellent communications from their office, very reasonable estimate for the potential work to be carried out and the guy who came to do the work was an absolute gentleman. I really can't recommend them enough. Utterly fantastic.

Solutions for nearly 20 years now. At all times, they are efficient professional and get the job done. I heartily recommend them.

Use GU solutions regularly, they arrive on time, always provide an excellent service and keep me updated throughout. Can't ask for anything more really, wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Had an old garden lamp removed and a new one installed.

Great work as usual. Had an ev charger installed - professional, courteous and on time highly recommended

Knowledgeable, competent, well informed and very clear. Work carried out exactly as agreed, highly recommend.

We've used GU Solutions on a number of projects, both large and small and they have been great every time. Gary and his team are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, they always turn up when they say they will and deliver work to a high standard. Look no further if you are looking for a reputable company who produce high quality work.. Highly recommended

Great communication, excellent service. Would highly recommend

Great experience from start to finish. The team showed real empathy, strong proactivity, and a high level of professionalism in resolving an issue that had been ongoing with both my electricity provider and charger company. It was a relief to have someone step in, take ownership, and get the job done efficiently. Truly a “saved the day” moment. Thank you for the excellent service.

A pleasure to work with this company, reliable ,on time and good job, administrative side very efficent. Well done.

Gary visited the property promptly and did the initial consultation. But, really bad attitude from office staff . When I mentioned the details text in the quote was small, the reply was they don’t have the time to edit the quote and make it large. The quote is final and just zoom the details to see it!. I can understand my other request about management company needing some information is not their problem to solve but the dismissive attitude from the staff when I mentioned about the quote text really left a bad impression.

GU Solutions installed an EV charger in February 2025. The charger worked as expected for over six months but then started to apply only approximately 50% of the charge requested. After carrying out some preliminary checks to prove the car was not at fault, I contacted GU Solutions as the charger was still under warranty. I am pleased to be able to say that a quick and positive response was received. Gary contacted me by telephone and we talked through the issue. He then visited my house to test the charger and concluded there was potentially an issue with either the charger, or more likely, an update to the App or firmware that had affected its performance. He contacted the charger manufacturer and they provided some advice. The problem has now been resolved and I commend GU Solutions for the manner in which they addressed my issue; it is good to know that customer care is a trademark of the companies ethos.

Fantastic service from all the team at GU. Appointment setting was a smooth and efficient process and the electricians who undertook the work at the house were consistently friendly and helpful, with a great end result. Thank you!

Great customer service from the ladies in the office, especially Jess who worked hard to arrange a suitable date with my tenant, for the work to be done. Very professional electricians who completed the work. Everything went smoothly and we’re very happy with the results.

Extremely quick to respond and helpful. Would definitely recommend for anyone who needs a quick call out :) Lydia was exceptional!! Thank you !!

GU Electrics has been absolutely fantastic! They’ve been incredibly helpful, even offering last-minute availability when I needed it most. The staff are friendly, punctual, and highly skilled—they clearly know what they’re doing. I wouldn’t consider using any other electrician after such a great experience. Highly recommended!

Team were brilliant from start to finish. Gary was incredibly helpful and friendly during the quoting visit, giving recommendations to our plans and even improving on them. Will, Charlie and Fed did an amazing job and were so tidy, can’t fault them. The team also went above and beyond by sending some extra members out to ensure any deadline were met. A really genuine company and lovely team, would highly recommend and will be using the team for anything we need in future!

Very friendly and conscientious work. First class job and would 100% recommend. Top marks for Kieran and Harvey, wonderful job, very friendly.

Very professional, polite and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Very professional and able to provide Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) for HMOs. They also install an FDD to meet current building requirements and certified all the work done. I would recommend them even though I felt their charges were a little on the high side. They are flexible with their appointment times and great at what they do.

Friendly, efficient service. Reasonably priced.

Used GU solution for the replacement and reinstallation of a towel heater in the bathroom. The work was amazing and super detailed oriented. Would highly recommend.

Gary was great when he priced the job up, very knowledgeable and friendly. The lads who did the work were great too, all was done on time and tidy work too. We were happy with the price too so will be using in the future.

Cheaper than quoted. Once the electrician had identified the problem he quickly got the part and installed. No mess, very professional and polite. Great to have found a local electrician who I would fully recommend

His staff were very friendly and efficent, Dan, harvey and another young guy whos name i cannot recall (he loved dogs)in particular are a brilliant hard workers, despite being under pressure and in the coal face dealing with us every visit they all went above and beyond. gary is very lucky to have them working for him.not everything went to plan or was completed on time, however it was always put right and we have ended up with a brilliant completed job.

We have used GU solutions several times over the last few months, initially to fit our light fittings when we moved in and to remove the night storage heaters, Alex and Harvey did a great job, very professional and clean and tidy. We subsequently engaged them to carry out an Electrical safety check which highlighted several issues that required several visits. On every visit they arrived on time. They are always very professional and very willing to spend time keeping us informed of progress, this time we had Stephan and James who were also very professional and clean and tidy. We can highly recommend GU solutions and will always use them again in the future when we need further electrical work carried out.

Fantastic service, very fast response and arrived on time.

I would like to thank Alex and Harvey for their hard work. 2 smashing young men. They are both very professional with their skills ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

GU solutions carried out an Electrical safety check on the property we were buying and subsequently carried out some necessary repairs. On every visit they arrived on time, were very professional and very willing to spend time advising on some other electrical work we were thinking of having done. I can highly recommend GU solutions and will definitely be using them again.

I called GU Solutions after 3 electricians failed to find where the fault was. Gary diagnosed the fault within minutes and the office promptly followed up with an appointment and written quote for the work. The electrician arrived on time, was friendly and professional. I cannot recommend this company highly enough and wish all local businesses were this professional and organised. i will definitely use them again and recommend to friends and colleagues.

Excellent service from GU Solutions - very pleased with the work completed by Jake and Chris. They arrived promptly, were professional, courteous, knew what they were doing and cleared away all mess. They also did a great repair on the walls caused by inserting the cabling behind it. Can recommend and will definitely use again.

We use GU Solutions for all of our electrical work. They are always reliable, efficient, friendly and carry out work to a high standard.

GU Solutions did some work for me when I moved in a couple of years ago. Very happy with what they did, the guys were happy to discuss what they were doing and cleaned up after themselves well. Would happily recommend them.

Turned work down without even calling potential customer or coming out to quote. Claimed long lead times without even asking potential customer of timeframe for work. Wouldn't recommend.
