We had our kitchen supplied by Wren, and the fitter used Heath to carry out the supplementary electrical work. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and far more expensive than expected for the level of service we received. While the electrician who came to our home was lovely and professional, the owner, Matt, was quite the opposite. He was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to take responsibility for mistakes — even asking his worker to leave the site after an issue with the colour of our switches, rather than resolving it properly. The whole process dragged on for weeks, causing a lot of unnecessary stress. Although we eventually received a small reduction on the final bill, it didn’t make up for the frustration and poor communication throughout. To make matters worse, we’ve since had ongoing issues with the electrics and our requests for them to come back and fix the problems have been completely ignored. I wouldn’t recommend using this company again. It’s such a shame, as when I first met Matt, he came across as really nice — but the overall experience has been deeply disappointing.

The electricians arrived at the time agreed and were very professional , keeping me up to date throughout the day as to how things were progressing. Clean and tidy workmen showing great respect to our property and furnishings. They were also very considerate to other workers on site.

Phoned Heath Electrical to solve an intermittent lighting fault in the bathroom. Communication was good, engineer turned up when they said investigated the issue, found the fault and rectified the problem. What’s not to like ? First class service will be my go to electrician.

Requested Heath electrical specialist for an electrical inspection and condition report . Ian their engineer came within 2 working days of my request. He arrived on time and proceeded to complete the checks which took about 3 hours and was extremely thorough in his work. I live in a 1960s house which has older type cabling and was expecting to be told I needed a complete re wire. Happily they advised that basically all I needed to have done was an upgraded consumer box and a few upgrades to some spurs and a replacement light fixture in the bathroom to comply with safety regulations, which they are going to quote for. Overall very satisfied with the service and would happily recommend them and very pleased I haven’t got to have an expensive house re wire.

I contacted Matt Heath to conduct an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) on my mum's house in Shirley. The house had been flooded before Christmas, following a burst pipe and I wanted to ensure the electrics were 'safe' before starting the re-plastering and decorating. Matt fitted in the assessment at short notice and moved other appointments to facilitate this. Within a week, I had the assessment completed and a copy of the accompanying report. The speed of turnaround meant no delays to the plastering. I would definitely recommend Heath Electrical Specialists to others.

Matt was great, he explained the job in full before the work started. It seemed a complicated process as the EV charging point was separate to our house, however the job was completed on time and the area was left as he found it. Great service, would highly recommend.

TL:DR - Heath Electrical are knowledgable, friendly and professional. Brilliant for any electrical work you may need doing. We had Matt provide an EICR when we were in the process of buying our house. He quickly sorted this through the agents and provided us an estimate for the fixes required for when we moved in. This really helped us in the buying process as we were able to factor in costs to our offer. Once we moved in, Matt was quick to get us booked in for 4 days to complete the work. Matt and Ian then worked so well that the job only took 3 days. They were always friendly, focussed, and lovely to chat to while they worked. They were super efficient with the work and always tidied up really well. We had, among other things, a new consumer unit supplied and installed, new earthing to gas and water pipes, new sockets and lights where required, circuit faults found and rectified and exposed live connections enclosed. We were always kept informed of the plan for each day, which really helped me to plan my working hours. I was able to work from home before they arrived and after they left and was always asked before the internet was disconnected. We were consulted before any alterations/fixes and given options to ensure the work was done as efficiently and as cost effectively as possible. Our plans for further work on the house were taken into consideration and Matt gave great advice for future proofing. The final invoice was a pleasant surprise, and didn’t differ too much from the original estimate, which shows Matt’s experience and knowledge. We highly recommend Matt and his team for any electrical work you may have, they are amazing. We feel much safer with our new consumer unit and more secure electrical system and we know that future building work should go more smoothly now the electrical system makes more sense. There is no service listed for what I had done which was the disconnection of an electric cooker. Although slightly late, the engineer arrived in good time and did the work quickly and efficiently. He was very polite and observed all the covid restrictions. I would use his firm again.

Fantastic experience with Matt Heath. He managed to do the whole job by himself with no messing around. Most electricians would have split that job into several days but Matt just cracked on and got the job done by 7pm. Excellent professional service, will definatley be recommending him!

Really happy with what matt has done. His work is first class .matt fitted sockets in the bedroom for the tv to go on the wall and also fitted a sensor in the bathroom so the lights and fan come on a timer and also an additional light for the toilet and an outside socket for me .the previous wiring was a bit messy and unsafe .matt soon sorted it .really happy with the work thankyou

Matt and Josh did a great job running power from the house to the cabin and installing a consumer unit, internal and external sockets and internal and external lighting. All of the work is to a high standard and they made sure to tidy up afterwards and also ensured they wore shoe covers too to prevent getting dirt in the cabin or house. All in a great final product and would recommend.

I had our domestic fuse box moved to a more convenient situation, thanks Matt for your very tidy work and helpful suggestions especially regarding the installation of an emergency light next to the f/b in case the power is off in the evening etc. Very friendly, helpful, efficient and local service provided, will most certainly use this company again. It's good to know that there is someone who we can call on who doesn't have miles to travel to get to us. We had one small query which was swiftly dealt with, no hassle at all. This was the second company that we received a quote from, like for like they were more expensive that the first one BUT they did what they committed to doing at the time that they committed to which is pretty unusual these days!
