Fantastic electricians, very reliable, polite, on-time and effective - we have used several times and definitely recommend, especially for anyone in the Richmond and surrounding areas. We used for an EICR (5-yearly electrical certificate) and some follow-on remedial works. Luke was very pragmatic and still managed to get all the work done in an afternoon (as promised!), even when one of the symptoms proved very tricky to diagnose (after much climbing around in lofts, testing cables and clever pulling-through some new cabling without having to damage walls! :-) Not easy to find great "sparkys" but these guys are excellent!

Quality work that is completed on time

I was advised by a Central Heating (CH) engineer that the replacement motorised valve he had fitted to my Domestic Hot Water (DHW) system needed a permanent live wire to the junction box. He would return the next day to install it but I never heard from him again. Meanwhile, I was able to rely on my immersion heater for hot water. I explained the problem to Luke who quickly set up an appointment to see me. On arrival, he did a thorough inspection and testing of the wiring. One of the first things he said to me was that there was already a live connection in the junction box. How could a CH engineer get that wrong? After the disconnection and reconnection of many wires and the testing of the electrical circuits, Luke finally handed over to me a fully functioning CH & DHW system. It took no new parts. Nor was it necessary to provide a live connection to the junction box from elsewhere in the house. What it did require was someone who understands the wiring layout for a Gas CH & DHW boiler system. Clearly, Luke Brooks is one such person. I will not hesitate to contact Luke again if I have any future electrical problems with my Gas CH & DHW system, or indeed any other electrical issues in the home. Excellent service at a fair price.

I wanted to express my gratitude for the excellent service Luke provided at our home several weeks ago. He was very knowledgeable, attentive and helpful. The issue was addressed quickly and efficiently, and we were very happy with the result. However, I was disappointed to see that we were charged for 2 hr, even though the electrician was only at our home for 1,5 hr. Giving the consideration how high the hourly rate is In my opinion, this doesn't seem fair. You should charge the customer partial hourly rate -after the first hour, and the bill should reflect for the actual time spent on the job. I understand that your company has policies in place regarding billing, but hope you will consider this feedback to avoid any disappointment from the customers in future. Many thanks again Luke. I was delighted by the Electrical work carried out by Luke. He sorted the out the 3 lights that didn't work in our Loft conversion. I was very happy with the Electrical work carried out by Luke. He installed a LED lighten mirror in my bathroom bathroom and removed the shaving sucket. I cannot emphasize enough how excellent Luke, Charlie and Brooks Electrical are. They were a much needed, incredible breath of fresh air in a sea of rip-off merchants and incompetents that we had the terrible misfortune to encounter at the end of what we have now realised was the sickening greed/ wild-west situation that Covid enabled unscrupulous trades-people to take advantage of. Luke and Charlie's unmatched high standards, punctuality and effortless competence were a rare ray of light. They were actually almost the only trades-people/ company that were absolutely 100% untouched by the greed and excuses to take customers for a ride. And it wasn't just all the virtues I mention above but they exude and practice their craft with a knowledge and experience that would give faith to even the most jaded - as were we. We used them for quite a lot of very varied work including in our rental property where even our tenants were blown away by the men and their work - tenants who's standards were incredibly high. Luke and Charlie actually tidy up after they have finished!?!? You'll be able to read one of my scathing posts on a bathroom rip-off merchant soon who completely took us for a ride. He and his electrician tried to charge us at least £10,000+ for a full re-wire of our last home, sincerely believing and attempting to convince us that it was the only way it would pass an EICR. However within minutes of Luke taking a look at the box/ system he'd totally debunked their scam and did the work for a fraction of the cost to a stellar standard. They are true gentlemen, polite and the prices seem to actually save you money and I should add that there were a few jobs which were complex and they really ran into problems. I only found out later how big the problems were that they just effortlessly sailed through. They didn't even complain or flag them or charge more! They just crack on and get it done. Really uplifting. I can't recommend them highly enough and would strongly suggest you need look no further.
