We have used Darren three times now and as always when we enquired about replacing our patio he responded quickly, attended site, discussed our requirements and made useful suggestions about the replacement slabs and the overall design. His quote arrived quickly as did a sample of the proposed slab, we were happy to accept the quote and agree a date for the installation. The standard of work was as always excellent, as was their tidiness. Darren, Josh and Tommy were respectful, polite and tidy - something our neighbours made comment about. They have left us with an excellent Patio that surpassed our expectations and we would certainly recommend them to family and friends with no qualms.

Amazing work from Darren and his team, they recently turned our decrepit back garden into a stunning patio that we can enjoy all year round. They also added a new front path and step onto our front garden, that has really finished off the look of our home. We really love our new driveway, retaining wall and fencing. Worked with Darren on the design. He had a lot of patience! Re-Tarmac tandem drive, removed over 20 tonnes of grassed area to extend the driveway using ACO GroundGuard and grey chippings, edging bricks to define the area, built a brick retaining wall and installed fencing and a gate on top of the wall. Darren and his team worked incredibly hard. Always arrived well before the start time. Cleared up. Respected our property. Neighbours and friends love our new driveway and are very impressed how its turned out. Have already passed his name onto a friend who needs some work done on their drive. Brilliant job. Trojan completed a small job for us, found them to be friendly, knowledgable and experienced, Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We used Trojan Paving to repoint the paving slabs on large areas of patios and paths, replacing mortar which had worn away, together with lifting and re-laying a number of both uneven and loose slabs. Darren was knowledgeable and clear about what needed doing when he came to do the quote - giving us confidence - and he didn't let us down. He arrived promptly each day as arranged, and was friendly and engaging. We're very pleased with the quality of the work and wouldn't hesitate to use Trojan again.

I would highly recommend Trojan paving For me and I think alot of others choosing the correct company /person to do the job you need doing is always worring and I took a long time looking at reviews etc before deciding on Trojan and I couldn't be happier I needed my front porch paving slabs repointed, Darren came and looked over what I needed doing and sent me a quote. Because this company is very busy i knew id need to wait and be fitted in around others but I didnt have long at all for the job to be started Josh came and did it, He did an excellent job working very hard and never stopped. and it looks great, so from start to finish, everything was seamless ,a local company and an excellent one

I booked my footpath in February and the nearest slot Darren had for me was in July. It was absolutely worth to wait!!! Since the beginning Darren has been professional, friendly and helpful. He came with Josh on the agreed day and time. They both worked tirelessly. The result exceeded my expectations!!! The service is second to none!!!

This is the second time I have used Trojan Paving, they go above and beyond what you would expect, Darren, Josh and Colin done an absolutely fabulous job with my garden. I had my old patio renewed with porcelain and extended with a dwarf wall..... a new side path, an area to place a water feature and a end garden patio to have raised plant boxes on eventually. The garden is very uneven and has a slight slope to it, but Darren and his team installed a slight step to accommodate the slope... I just have to get the grass area levelled and turfed now. Cannot recommend the guys enough, on time every day and tidied up before they left. It took nearly 3 weeks of hard work and I am more than happy with the finished work, Darren explains everything so you know what to expect... really brilliant team!

Darren & Josh did a fantastic job of repairing the "sink hole" :-) on our drive. They were punctual, professional, polite and tidy and because it took them less time than expected, they charged me less. We are absolutely thrilled with our new driveway. Darren provided a detailed and accurate quote back in October 2023. He booked in the date for the work to be completed in May 2024 and kept in touch with us in the weeks leading up to confirm colours and styles. The work was carried out on the exact date agreed and was completed on schedule with no hold ups. The project was well managed throughout to minimise disruption to ourselves and our neighbours. Can't recommend Trojan Paving enough! We had a block paving driveway done and from the word go Darren has been fantastic! He arrived to give an estimate when he said he would (unlike other companies we contacted) & he supplied the written estimate promptly. Throughout Darren kept us well informed of what would happen when and he worked round an issue we had with Portsmouth water, despite being incredibly busy. Darren, Adam & Colin were all friendly, professional & punctual, working hard but leaving the site tidy every evening. Highly recommend the Trojan Paving team.

After an initial consultation and selection of the most appropriate materials Trojan demolished a concrete patio and used the debris to establish a sub-base for a larger patio. This was constructed efficiently with up-to-the-minute briefings on progress if I required. I was able to change some detail and add small tasks as it went along. They were polite and as tidy as possible leaving me access overnight to the rest of the garden. During their work I decided to extend a separate drive area in paviers which they were able to fit into the time slot allowed for the patio which was very convenient. (They like tea but don't ask). I am very pleased with the outcome and quite happily recommend them.

Reviewing Trojan Paving is a rare pleasure. I selected Trojan from five quotes I sought for relaying a 130m² patio as Darren was the clearest and most straight talking of those I met. The first confirmation of my making the right choice was when he postponed starting my project as the cold snap we were experiencing meant the cement work could be less than optimal, so we rescheduled. Once we started Darren and Adam were a pleasure to have on site. Prompt, diligent, courteous and patient with my constant questions and monitoring. The project grew due to unforeseeable obstacles but they ploughed on regardless keeping me in the picture at all stages. Despite the time and material overrun Trojan invoiced as agreed. Minor pointing issues caused by extreme heat have been resolved immediately under their five-year guarantee. What more could you ask.

Trojan Paving are a professional family run block paving company (they also do other ground works) - The family run business was professional throughout and nothing was too much trouble. From start to finish 'Darren' (the Boss) made sure we were aware of what each stage would entail. The company has a whole array of quality machinery and tools to do the tasks right. He has sub contractors he can call upon when needed (we had new brick walls built as well as the driveway). As an example such was his meticulous attention to detail, the inserted blocks in the drain covers lined up with seamlessly with the blocks of the driveway, this is not a detail you often see. Every thing requested has been done to a high standard. Darren even arranged for the flower beds to receive new top soil as a finishing feature. The guy working with Darren, 'Adam' worked tirelessly throughout and on the odd occasion Darren was away elsewhere Adam just got on with it. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending this company, their work is exemplary and their work ethic second to none.

Darren and his helper Adam, dug and cleared my existing lawn, cut down an established hedge and dug out deep-rooted tree stumps etc in preparation to lay a block paved double parking bay. All of this greenery and soil was loaded into large bulk bags which were removed by a very competent grab-lorry as arranged by Darren. All work was carried out professionally and care was taken with regard to all aspects of the work required. At the end of each day's work, the area was left clean and tidy. I would not hesitate in recommending Trojan Paving to anyone thinking of embarking on any kind of landscaping and/or paving work.

Really very, very pleased with the quality of the workmanship of our paving. The Guys arrived bang on time every morning. Started work and didn’t stop, except for a quick refuel of tea and coffee, until they finished for the day. Site was swept and cleaned thoroughly before they left too. Very accommodating of our neighbours as well and kept noise and disruption to a minimum. Deliveries were timed perfectly in order to progress the job with ease. The have the best machinery to make short work of excavating eight tonnes of soil seem easy! Nothing was too much trouble for them, even a last minute change of spec wasn’t a problem. Honestly, if you want the best job possible, done to a very high standard, look no further. They really do work like ‘Trojans’ 😀

Darren and his team complete a 350 m2 block paving driveway for us. They arrived exactly when stated and accomplished an amazing job. They are clearly VERY experienced and knowledgeable and know exactly what they are doing. It's impossible not to like them which helps enormously as you can't help but trust them. They know what works and have some great idea's so it's worthwhile seeking their opinion. They have all the necessary "boys toys" to get the job done. As a customer we think a good job is worth waiting for so be patient with how long it takes. We look forward to seeing them back in the Spring to check over the blocks and seal them when it's drier. Loveders Barns PO18 8RH Darren and his team have artistically and miraculously transformed the driveway to Priors Leaze Veterinary Centre, Loveders Nursery School and Owens Marketing Ltd. These works were carried out over the bank holiday weekend and were completed in a very short time. The quality of workmanship is very high and the driveway was left in a very tidy manner. I can not thank Darren and his team enough for the amazing final result.

Hi all, we had Darren and his small team come and relay our 75sq metre drive which had sunk at several well used spots and also add a new step. The job took five days one of which was rained off. The job has been done very professionally with attention to the small details as well as the big ones and he was very amenable to small changes to the original quote( after being plied with copious amounts of tea & coffee). We are very pleased with the result.

Darren has done a fantastic job for us building a new block paved drive/sidepath and beautiful indian sandstone patio. Darren came to see me back in January to price the job and discuss our requirements, this was backed up with a written quote. We had to wait until June for the work to begin.......Trojan Paving are very busy!! but it was well worth the wait. They have done a fantastic job, from start to finish Darren was very proffesional in his approach to his work and gave good advice and ideas. The job was completed on time and at the agreed price. They left the site spotless every day and were very considerate to our neighbours at all times. I would recommend Trojan paving to anyone , it was a pleasure having them here to work. During the planning phase Darren responded almost immediately to any email communications and arrived at the time and on the day he initially advised. As usual, Darren was very attentive to detail and, in spite of a far from uncomplicated design, he produced some of the finest block paving I've seen. He was flexible in his approach and provided initial advice regarding kerb configurations, drainage systems and choice and availability of materials. With a particularly involved set of steps, he took on board changes as the job evolved without fuss and very effectively interpreted our wishes into “bricks & mortar”. Needless to say, we were extremely pleased with the result and would have no hesitation in recommending Trojan Paving to anyone contemplating a hard landscaping project.

I received a quote from a local tradesman for a repair to my sloping driveway, It seemed very high to me given that the area needing repair was somewhere between 20 and 25 square yards. I searched for someone else to call based on reviews and phoned Darren. He arrived to quote me as he promised and gave me a figure that was less than half of the first quote. I liked Darren from the start - he was a very friendly chap so, I asked him to do the job. He arrived promptly on both days and along with Colin did a great job with which I am very pleased. I can now get a car in both garages without scraping the underside. He also tidied the area after finsinging the job. Reliable and excellent quality of work. I did not expect them to turn up in -1 snow conditions on a Monday to start digging out the driveway. We spoke about a couple of potential issues before and during the driveway being completed. Good to see an honest trader in the area and would highly recommend. Completed in three days which was a staggering achievement.

It is rare to find such honest, reliable, professional and trustworthy tradesmen. Darren always does exactly what he says he will do and when he says he will do it. I viewed a project that Trojan had done and I was so impressed, I asked Darren to quote a large project for me, involving complicated shapes and artificial grass. We asked Darren to quote, he turned up discussed the job, quoted and guided our expectations that it would be a few months until able to start the project. We accepted the quote, he said he would be in touch to confirm times and 3 months later to the day he turned up and finished within the allocated time. The work was superb, he was very friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly thoughtful over tidying everything up at the end of each day. The work is excellent, the price was competitive but the service and attention to detail is second to none. Can not praise them highly enough.
