Excellent 5*! We have recently had our patio done by John and his team. Everything about him, the team and the job were excellent. The price was really competitive and gave us lots of advice during the quote. We had some brickwork we were keeping which they did an excellent job of making good and restoring. There were a few challenges that occurred along the way but these were quickly resolved. The team were very accomodating to what we wanted and made sure we were happy with all work before, during and after. Always on time, friendly and hard working...cannot fault the work!

All there help and ideas, achieved it just the way I wanted. I couldn’t thank you guys enough. Very reliable and very efficient and so clean with the work they do. John from Valhalla contacted me very quickly after my Checkatrade enquiry. He took my requirements and sent his surveyor within days. I was given a start date and a clear and simple contract, which identified the work which would be done, the cost and when the work would be carried out. The contract set out the 3 stage payment dependant upon the works being completed giving me comfort and certainty. None of the try on price increases or delay as "something else came up" excuses of other traders. Having said that John made some suggestions from his vast experience which gave our garden the WoW factor at no extra cost and he threw some topsoil to complete his suggestions free of charge. I also got some practical advice of things I should add for my use in the future, such as double power points, so I could plug in my laptop and phone charger. John gave me his mobile and assured me if not on site I could contact him and he was true to his word. His workers are a credit to him, Cheerful Doers and not Miserable Slackers. I cannot put into words how much my daughter and I will enjoy our garden. I cannot recommend Valhalla high enough for simplicity of the contract, comfort, innovative ideas, the quality of works, which were on time and on budget1

John worked immensely hard to make sure my wife was happy with the garden.. trust me that ain’t easy 😅. He truly cares about customer satisfaction and will make every effort to ensure the job is finished to customer requirements.

Our garden was completed today and is looking great . John listened to what we wanted and was very accomodating to our requests. He did put right everything if there was some issues. I have to mention that we are very particular on details etc. Our garden involved placing sandstone slabs, paving stones and a small area of artificial grass and porcelain tiles. The job was very detailed, so we wanted to be around to ensure its done the way we want. After few years of mess, we can finally enjoy our garden :). John is very nice person to work with. Fom many other tradesman giving the quotes John felt like the most honest person with very good vibe. If you want garden tiles lied, do ensure all details are covered on the quote. It's a shame that grouting was not quoted and now we have to look for other tradesman or to do it ourselves, but perhaps that's ok as we want to research beforehand not to damage the sandstone. Also with the tiles, next time I would insist of using those special clips to ensure the finish is perfect. As I mentioned I am very particular and smallest imperfections can be annoying. I would have liked better communication about arrival times, cleaner drive after job was finished and more attention to detail without us pointing the details out, but those all are very minor issues and may not be issue for some and John deserves 5 *. After all we are very happy with the finished job today and I think John was perfect for our job. We have no regrets choosing Vahalla Driveways and Patios for our garden renovation. I can’t recommend this company enough, they worked very hard, were completely professional at all times and tidied up at the end of each day . John was a pleasure to work with and was very patient with all the little changes we needed to make due to the weather or waiting for deliveries to arrive . They even worked on a weekend to get the job done . Five star job and lovely to work with !

When looking for tradesmen you never know how good and trustworthy they are and, as someone who’s been fleeced before, I’m always wary. I contacted John at Valhalla as my driveway was sinking in places as was a path. He came out to take a look exactly when arranged, discussed what were the best options without massively upselling, sent over a quote shortly after, and booked me in for a week later. In the meantime he demonstrated his knowledge and expertise when discussing types and colours of the block paving and had excellent communication skills. This week he started a day earlier than expected and was done in a day and a half (finishing in the almost dark!). He and his team left everything clean and tidy and all rubbish taken away. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him to do a great job at a reasonable price.

John has been round a few times to clean our driveway and garden as well as fitting some fence panels. Not only does he produce a really high standard of work but he is so kind, generous and helpful. I would never have any garden work done by anyone else now, and I recommend him to all of my family and friends, without a doubt.

I had work done by this company. I had no idea really. How I wanted it to look gave a few ideas on the colour of Stone and wood I would like. I just let him run with it. I can truly say I'm very satisfied and cannot fault his work. He is a bit of a perfectionist, but somebody who takes care in their work is always a good thing in my books. Thanks valhalla driveways

After been responsible for getting quotes for my mom to have her drive done, John was definitely the right choice! On time, extremely good communication & even came & met mom so she was more comfortable when it came to starting the job! Really lovely guy who had the patience of a saint.
