I recently had the pleasure of getting Laurence from LKB Brickworks & Groundworks on a landscaping project, and the results are fantastic. Laurence handled everything, including building stunning retaining stone wall raised planters, laying a new patio, and installing fresh turf. The quality of his craftsmanship is excellent—the stonework is precise, and the patio was finished to a very high standard. What really stood out to me was how patient Laurence was throughout the entire process. We made a few changes to the design mid-build, and he was incredibly accommodating, always taking the time to talk through our options to ensure we were completely happy with the final result. On top of the high-quality work, his pricing was very fair and competitive. He was a pleasure to have on-site; he was very professional and made sure to keep the area clean and tidy every single day, which made the whole process much less stressful. Garden/Boundary brick wall replacement. Great communication with Laurence from start to finish of job. Site was left neat and tidy and the new wall looks fab. I would recommend LKB to others and i will use them again.
Laurence responded to my email request for a quote the same day and came round the next day to look at the job. He was polite and friendly and the price was good. When it came time to do the work, Laurence arrived when he said he would and got the work done quickly, and to a high standard. Everything was left clean and tidy and the invoice arrived a couple of hours later. Couldn't have been easier to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

Before the work started, I've been fully informed how the wall will be built, what type of drainage system will be placed in and so on. Professional approach toward the work, focused on details and not rushing the job which made it superb. Dan came out to fill and make good the previous owner's cat flap, a hole in the brick wall. He did a brilliant job, was very polite and courteous and was very clean. Very much would recommend, Laurence handled the matter professionally. We are very pleased.
Laurence replaced old lime mortar in an outside wall for me. He was punctual, hard working and very pleasant and the wall looks great (and doesn’t wobble )! I would definitely recommend him and will be using him again.
I highly recommend LKB Brickworks. Laurence recently rebuilt brick pillars for me after these had been left dangerously unstable. His attention to detail and expertise were clear from the start. Not only did he restore the pillars to a safe and solid condition, but he also identified and corrected an issue the original builders had missed—there were no drainage holes in a retaining wall, which he promptly and efficiently fixed. Additionally, he replaced and relaid a paving slab with such precision that you can’t even tell which one was replaced—it blends in perfectly. Laurence was consistently punctual, reliable, and helpful throughout the project. He also went the extra mile to source pier caps that matched the originals, which were no longer available—demonstrating real care and commitment to getting everything just right. An excellent tradesman who takes pride in his work. I wouldn’t hesitate to use LKB Brickworks again. I first used Laurece to build me a concrete shed base a few months ago and was so impressed that I decided to have him again to do my new driveway with risen. He has done a fantastic job. Its looks so different. Only finished yesterday and already compliments from neighbours. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. He is a great guy & will do anything to make you happy.
I called Laurence on Friday to get a quote to fix our broken boundary wall. He turned up when he said he would on Saturday to look at the job, sent a quote over within an hour of leaving and came at 8am today to complete the job. He did a great job in about an hour and our wall now looks good as new again. Thanks again Laurence!

Cant recommend laurence and his team enough. Local company he totally transformed my garden he done me a sleeper wall and new large patio and fence . Wouldn't hesitate to use again .
Very disappointed as Laurence responded to my advert for a company to build a foundation, came out to view the next day, promised a quote within a day or so and ghosted me. He never responded when I asked what happened to the quote. It isn't that difficult if you don't want the job to just say so rather than ghosting. It is more professional rather than leave potential customers hanging.

Finding the right builder to repair, repoint and modify an existing ragstone wall to fit in with the look and feel of the house and its surroundings was no mean feet, and we are so glad we chose Laurence. From start to finish it has been a pleasure working with him and to receive his advice and recommendations along the way. Laurence was extremely polite and a generally nice guy to talk to. We had various parts of our garage and house repointed and it was done to an excellent standard - its been commented upon. A little had been missed on the first visit but Laurence was more than happy to come back and get it done to just as high standard as the rest of the work. We have already had a quote for landscaping our front path and drive, which we felt was extremely reasonable. Thank you!
