Allerton were very helpful, clear, their workmen took pride in their work and and did a good job leaving the place tidy and clean. I would use them again.

I am very pleased with Allerton Damp Proofing. They are very professional in all aspects from telling me what the problem was and coming to fit the PIV machine. They covered my carpets so no mess was left whatsoever. They cleaned everything up before they left. Very happy.

From the beginning to the end of the job the staff were professional and kept us informed. They arrived on time and worked extremely hard and kept the inconvenience to us to the minimum. They completed all the work required in the time quoted and left no mess and tidied up when finished. Would recommend.

DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGEPOLE. I'm approx 18 months post-work carried out by this company and damp has returned to the same places it was present at it's worst, prior the the survey and the works. I emailed the company regarding their "guarantee" and a long back and forth short; they are not accepting any liability because "damp has not returned to the areas where work was carried out". Therefore, all the thousands I paid, to resolve damp in the property, was for nothing, because they did not do enough and the survey was insufficient. After my initial email to the info mailbox CC'ing Stuart the director and coincidentally the surveyor, Stuart replied to the internal mailbox without realising I was CC'd or that it was from me; "Hi, did the customer order all the work. From memory I stated that the whole wall would benefit but it was decided to keep work to the minimum. I'm not sure but there may be decorative coving in situ, which may be the reason work was kept at low level Thanks Mr Stuart Blackburn" I had saved the money, and approached a "real company" to get this issue resolved once and for all, to be accused of having chosen "minimal work". All whilst admitting that he thought "the whole wall would benefit" Also note that I clearly remember the install of the "PIV" unit being scheduled for a later date than the plastering works, with no communication, and commenced a tirade of rearranging as they were a no-show on the first date and the (one man) didn't have sufficient gear on arrival. This man then advised me that the survey was incorrect because it was physically impossible to install extractor fans where I'd be quoted to do so - further supporting the insufficiency of the survey I'd had, that recommended I had 1.2m of works done, when it needed to be the full wall. Absolute joke of a company - GO ELSEWHERE. I'm convinced that anyone leaving positive reviews are doing so immediately after the work has been carried out before discovering that it in fact, will not be a permanent and/or correct fix. Do not expect the guarantee to mean anything and READ the 1* reviews before you proceed with this company. Currently in touch with my solicitors.

We contacted Allerton Damp Proofing at the beginning of January about some work we wanted doing. The workmen were clean, pleasant and efficient they came on the 25th of January and carried out the work. It took one day to complete the work and was left in a lovely clean condition and the very next day we noticed a big difference with the damp issue. Many thanks to the team at Allertons.

I used Allerton's for Damp proofing works in my basement flat - December 2022 - the guys were polite, professional, tidy and just got the job dine - the work has been completed to my satisfaction and they exceeded my expectations when it came to working to renewed timescales that were outside of their control - very pleased and would I would recommend

Fan Extractors and Air Filtering system installed. Contractors very efficient, prepared the area so as not to cause any dirt around the house and when finished they left all rooms immaculate. Also informed us how the system worked.

I highly recommend Allerton Damp Proofing Leeds. They have just completed the damp proof course and replastering necessary to remove the rising damp in two rooms in my house. The work carried out was to a very high standard. All terms and conditions being explained prior to the start of the job and re-iterated before the actual start. All workmen were respectful of myself and my property and they completed all work as discussed. I was very impressed with the clean up after work was completed and would highly recommend to anyone wanting similar work carried out.

Was planning to give a 5 star review after the work Allerton did for us this week but was just phoned by them to say we will be charged an extra £80 for skirting board. The skirting board was never discussed with us but was put in. It does make a better finished job but I would have liked to have discussed first. When I challenged this, they brought up some small extra jobs they did for us and at the time said they'd done for free, including replacing three plug sockets that stopped working after their work, even when I gave some of the parts for the job myself and said I could do it myself but they offered to do it. I did try to discuss this with the man on the phone but he wouldn't back down and kept saying he would add it to the invoice. He said he would be talking to his staff on Monday but I will still be £80 out of pocket. (Later edit - They did phone me first thing Monday morning and agree to remove the £80 as stated below)

Overall a good experience, we had damp proofing put in, in our front room, hall and kitchen. during this they found that the floor in the front room was also affected by moister and needed replacing, so ended up taking over a week instead of 2 days. not really their fault, but meant for an awkward week. All the workmen that we had round where very professional and did a good job. When they re-plastered the wall, they did forget to re-attach an aerial socket and a phone socket, hence 4 stars, but overall pretty good. plastering was lovely and smooth though. It was a lot of work, so cost a bit, but it seemed a very fair price in the end.

We have previously used this company for a damp proof course throughout our ground floor 3 years ago, all been fine and not seen the problem come back. We had new windows created in March 2020 and started to notice black mould appearing around the windows and on various walls etc. I got in touch with AllDamp again to see if the issue could be resolved. They quickly came out to survey the property and noted that there was little to no ventilation and the new windows had highlighted the problem with them being more secure. We booked with them a week later and with having a 9 month old said they'd be able to get the works done within a day to minimise the impact. We chose to have 2 extractor fans installed (kitchen and bathroom) and an iPIV system in the loft coming through to the hallway, which was the recommended solution. There were a few setbacks on the day (due to the age of the house, bad wiring and thick walls) but the team sorted all issues and were finished within a day as promised. The work was finished to a good quality, some slight marks and dents around the work area but to be expected given the work being completed and can be resolved with some paint/filler. All the house kept clean and tidied at the end of the day. Having had the fans in around 4 days now and within 24h we could see improvements, no condensation on the windows, no moisture on the walls and better air quality as expected. The air obviously is cooler which means there is a balance with the heating but not found the heating having to work any harder, the hallway is just a little cooler. Overall very happy with the work, would recommend.

I had my damp proofing done by Allerton this month. The external and internal work was carried out to a good standard and the workers were all very friendly. The workers took special care to protect the inside of our home from dust and dirt during the internal work and left our house clean and tidy. The work was finished a day ahead of schedule and we’re really happy with the result. We did have a crack in the plastering which meant we needed someone to come back and fix it, but this was done really quickly and with good service.

I recently had works carried out by Allerton Damp Proofing and I experienced excellent highly professional emplyees throughout (from the initial surveyor, Wesley answering my million and one questions before my job started, to the guys doing the actual work) apart from one on the last day of my work, who unfortunately spoilt what would have been a perfect experience. After speaking with the right person in the office, issues were rectified and I’m now satisfied with my competed job. This experience wouldn’t put me off using Allerton Damp proofing again or recommending them to a friend, they are highly professional. This would have been a 5* rating had it not been for the one person out of many.

I have used this firm a few times and always found them to be very professional. The advice I received this time was very good and the work was carried out to a very good standard. The workmen were excellent and cleared up after themselves as much as they could.

When my wife and I were decorating our house we were amazed to discover damp in the downstairs walls. As we were going away within days Stuart kindly called in the next morning to do a full survey, suggest a course of treatment and give us an on the spot quotation. We were very happy with the quote but could not instruct straight away but Stuart kindly advised us that he could fit us in whenever we were ready. Sure enough, when we instructed Allerton they slotted us into the following week. As the house was on the market at the time the engineer in charge, Scott, picked the keys up from the estate agent and delivered them back when the job was done. From start to finish Allerton have been supportive and friendly whenever we have spoken to their office based personnel or to Scott. Scott even sent me an email to say that the job was done and thanked us for allowing Allerton to carry out the work. All in all a very calm, stress free experience. I would certainly recommend their service.

Your first two employees came on time. I was impressed by the time and care they spent on preparation to keep the plaster dust down. They were friendly and helpful. They took their boots off on the carpets until they had placed the black floorbprotectuion stuff down. They worked solidly throughout the day. When they had finished they cleared up well. They gave me advice as to how to treat the new plaster, just keep rubbing off the salts which will come through and not to decorate for eight weeks. I had no idea what time the second team were coming the next day. They arrived telling me they had come from Selby and had to go back there after my job. They used some of the old skirting board and installed new in the back living room. I wasn’t too impressed with the wood filling in the new skirting board, roughly done. I had to point out that the marks made in the plaster from taking off of the original also needed filling. Again it was a rushed job. They did move the freezer out of the living room, back to its place in the kitchen. The smaller man told me to use white wine vinegar to neutralise the salts. I rang up to check this sand was told just to rub it down with a dry cloth and that the salts wouldn’t keep coming away. I still need to ask whether I should use sandpaper on the raised light pink areas. Generally I am pleased with your work. I would recommend your company to anyone who has a damp problem. I would have been happier if somebody had got under the house (which has a suspended floor,) to see where the cause of the wetness was. To my mind that needs treating too! Thank you for your service. From the initial survey to the completion of work carried out, we have received Excellent customer service and customer care. Jordan was helpful, professional and always at hand when we had questions. When the work commenced they spared no time in ensuring the rest of the house would be free from any construction dust or muck by sealing areas with dust sheets particularly for our new kitchen. The workmen were helpful and always on time. Their productivity and quality was to a very high standard. I would highly recommend Allerton damp proofing to all who have dry rot issues. Thanks to Kevin and Martin at Allerton Damp Proofing for a good job. Both were professional in their demeanor and Kevin went out of his way to explain what they would be doing and to let me know when it looked like the job would need to be expanded to fully deal with the damp problem in the house. Overall, we are happy with the work done. It was more expensive than we expected, but it is good that there is a guarantee that covers the work done.

Highly recommended timber and damp proofing company. They did an excellent job replacing the full ground floor in my terraced house. Communication was professional and prompt.
