Environet UK Ltd reviewers describe help with Japanese knotweed and bamboo. Several reviewers say they were given clear advice, including honest assessments where a plant turned out not to be Japanese knotweed. Reviewers also report quick replies to enquiries and describe staff as helpful and professional. One reviewer reports poor service after a knotweed removal, including a missing digger on the day, a dispute over replacing soil, stony topsoil and regrowth nine months later, with the regrowth later removed but admin seen as needing improvement. Another reviewer says a survey cost £400 and the £6.5k removal quote was too high, and had the bamboo removed by another company.
Brilliant job removing three clumps of bamboo from our garden. Can't believe how good the garden looks after finishing. Huge thank you to Joe and his team. Also, excellent communication from Leanne, always prompt, helpful and easy to talk to. Excellent customer service from booking to the accounts team.
Contacted Environet for advice on possible Japanese knotweed at a property we were about to buy. Suzi Pepall was excellent, she took the time to review the photos and a video walkthrough with her director and came back quickly with a clear, honest assessment of the risk. No hard sell, just straight, expert advice that helped us understand the likely extent of the problem and the realistic remediation options. It made a genuinely difficult decision much easier. Highly recommend Suzi and the Environet team.
Here’s a polished 5-star review you can post: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot recommend Environet highly enough. From the very first contact, both Alistair and Ciaran provided an outstanding level of service regarding the Japanese Knotweed issue at my property. Ciaran was professional, responsive, and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Any questions I had were answered promptly and clearly, giving me confidence and reassurance at what was a stressful time. A special mention must go to Alistair, who carried out the site visit. He was absolutely on point from start to finish. His knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail were exceptional. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly, assessed the situation carefully, and provided clear, honest advice. The whole experience was smooth, efficient, and handled with genuine care. It’s rare to find a company that combines expertise with such excellent customer service. If you need help with Japanese Knotweed, I would not hesitate to recommend Environet, especially Alistair and Ciaran. Thank you both for your excellent service and professionalism. 👍🏻👌🏼
Have dealt with this company regarding a Japanese knotweed issue. What can I say so impressed with them and their service. A special shout out to Suzi and Luke. I can highly recommend this company.
Suzi was so helpful taking the time to advise me on Japanese Knotweed risks
I used Environet to remove some Knotweed, I found in a house we bought. The initial contact was positive, they came and did the survey, they helped and advised when the previous owners were refusing to pay but then the service has been poor. On the day of the removal through miscommunication they didn't bring a digger. I had to source a digger from a local hire company and pay for it. I then had to chase Environet to be reimbursed. There was then a dispute about replacing the soil taken away with new topsoil. Something they initially said they would before saying it was a mistake. They agreed to it but I suspect this led them to only scraping away the top 30cm or so of soil, so they wouldn't have to supply so much new clean top soil. The top soil they provided wasn't graded, it was pretty stony and poor stuff, even the person from Environet who was doing the work said he was expecting better stuff. 9 months later we have regrowth and initially they tried to fob me off with treating on site despite the initial work being to dig and remove from site. After a few emails back and forth they agreed to dig it up (by hand this time) and head office will dispose of it. I was told someone would be in touch in 2-3 weeks (that was 7 weeks ago) and upon chasing today, I am told again someone will be in touch in 2-3 weeks. The service from the day they removed until now has been very poor and I wait to see how they get on with removing the regrowth. Edit to review: They have come and removed the regrowth, again the person attending was very nice and seemed to know what they were doing so i have amended the review to 3 stars and would just say that the admin side could be improved.
Richard was really generous with his knowledge and time, even though I was not necessarily a prospective customer--thank you!
Contacted Environet about invasive bamboo removal. They charged £400 to come and survey the impacted area, and I was told I had a 2m x 0.2m impacted area. They then sent me a quote for £6.5k to remove. Samir and his team are ripping people off and they make the money from the initial survey fee. Since then I have paid a different company to remove the bamboo and it took them 3 hours and cost £500.
Excellent track record, great treatment advice,
Outstanding service from the Environet team! THANK you for such a professional, friendly and sensitive service; we’re now bamboo-free! Wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend you to anyone 😀
These guys are very professional, efficient and importantly for mortgages, accredited. Even the after-sales service is exceptional - thanks especially to Gillian.
Great company with great staff.. Would visit again if in the area..😁
I want to thank Richard at Environet for his prompt and correct identification of a visting plant that we didn't recognise. A very helpful service, thanks+++++. Fortunately it's not a Japanese Knotweed but a Himalayan Honeysuckle - a somewhat less dangerous and more attractive alien species.
I used Environet following a recommendation to help with invasive Japanese Knotweed in my garden. Mathew Day was the main person I dealt with and he was excellent. Very professional, responsive and managed to co-ordinate with other contractors working on my property to remove the knotweed. I would definitely use them again because their knowledge and experience is second-to-none.
Very helpful, and rapid response.
Prompt and reassuring reply from Environet, thanks Gillian!
A very good experience! I had a major bamboo problem which involved removing the root-ball ( size of a small planet ), and removing adventurous rhizomes form under my neighbours patio. Will and his team completed the job without fuss in 3 days and left the garden in landscaped condition. This is a very professional operation; always just on the end of the phone. The whole team - Sally, Richard et al. seemed to know exactly what was going on with the job. (and my neighbours were very happy too.)
Invasive bamboo was turning my back garden into a jungle. After doing some research, I realised I couldn’t tackle it on my own. I’m so glad I found Environet. Everyone was helpful, professional, punctual, and respectful of my person and property. Now that I have my back garden again, I’m looking forward to enjoying it once more.
Thanks a lot Richard and Will..Richard was able to book us an assessment visit very quickly regarding the encroachment of evasive running bamboo in our garden .. Will completed the assessment visit,we found him to be very professional, but also friendly and easy to talk to. When we contacted him after his assessment report was completed for advice , which he gave...he gave us the time to talk through our anxieties, although he was very busy.
Excellent! Great service from start to finish. Many thanks and would definitely recommend Environet to others.
Thanks a lot Richard & Luke for a Very quick, and helpful service. I sent an enquiry with photos of the plant through their website and then got an email and phone call back identifying the plant was not being Japanese knotweed- and all done within a couple of hours. The Survey & the report was done very quick too. Thank you! Ajay
